    Transmitter on first, then receiver on. Receiver off, then transmitter off. That's the safest way to do it.

    Hello, I'm building a 52in yacht with two drive motors each with there own esc and a bow thruster with its own esc . Will I have to drop out the red wire on the bow thruster esc as well? Thanks for all you do for the hobby 👍

    Hi Chris. Thank you for such an informative video, I really needed this, however, I am kind of slow and i am having a difficult time following the wiring. Specially how the lights are connected, from the receiver to the individual lights. could you possibly make this a bit clearer? Any help greatly appreciated. Again Thank you.

      The lights plug into a slot on the receiver. I believe it has either Futaba or Tamaya connectors, which is standard… There is a switch on the transmitter for activating, the lights and the radar… Pretty simple set up. I don’t think there’s any danger in damaging the components at such low voltages.

    Very helpful. Thanks. Can you report which radar you used?

    • @christopherleitch2505
      @christopherleitch2505  2 года назад

      i made the radar from Sintra plastic and used a micro servo for the motor.

    Do you know how you'd set up a turret on a battleship? I'm trying to solve the problem of how far the turrets can traverse since they can't rotate 360 degrees. I'm really new to the RC idea. I've only built models so far.

    • @HDSME
      @HDSME 4 часа назад

      Yes you can very easily the fastest way is a small cheap servo mounted directly under the turrets hook the channel you want and off you go
      You may have to trim it to sit were you like that's easy just hit the trims on the side of the kevers good luck !

    What gauge wire do you use to connect everything?

    • @christopherleitch2505
      @christopherleitch2505  Год назад

      I don’t quite know the gauge wire but it’s got to be in the 20s… This is all standard RC equipment associated with small remote control models

      I just recently began soldering up the tower and railings and will soon be running wire through it. I need to go small wiring for the 5/32" tubing i'm using.

    What’s the noise from the motors ( hi pitch sound) I have the same thing is it a problem or just normal ?

    • @christopherleitch2505
      @christopherleitch2505  Год назад

      It is the tape that I have attached to the couplers. The motors are very quiet and smooth. I just wanted to give the effect of the motors when I was doing the demo.

      you don't want this list as many of the components are antiquated and out of production.

    Where can I buy the electronics?

    • @christopherleitch2505
      @christopherleitch2505  2 года назад

      The electronics are old...over 15 yrs old. You can research newer more efficient motors and ESC's and batteries. The twin stick controller is the hardest to find. I sold an ACE Nautical Commander years ago and I regret it.

      @@christopherleitch2505 yes, very hard to find dual stick controller.. what is the brand and model of your dual stick controller?

      The transmitter is a hobby king HK6S but I have not seen them on the market for years. I’m sure it’s been replaced since.
