It’s an absolute joke. I got an email at the end of March stating that my PayPal account had been permanently limited and that I can never use PayPal again. I’ve been an eBay seller and have used PayPal for over 15 years. 100% feedback, and I’ve used both platforms with honor and integrity. Honestly, same! I haven't had a single claim from any of my buyers throughout the entire time I've used Paypal, and I've always followed their regulations strictly. Today, I got an email saying my account's been put to permanent limitations. Again, no explanation whatsoever, no steps provided to resolve the issue. I have no clue why they would start banning accounts in perfectly good standing. I had over $1000 USD in there, and it's being held captive for 180 days... what a load of crap. I'm boycotting Paypal, this is just ridiculous.

PayPal is definitely bugging out lately. I sold some vinyl to my cousin for about $80 total last week. As soon as he paid me, PayPal froze my account and emailed me saying “Please provide a purchase receipt from your supplier” and that they would terminate my account if I didn’t provide it before November 20th. I have never had a supplier for anything so I have no idea what the hell they were getting at. Explained it to customer service after being on hold for two hours and they unfroze my account, but kinda worrisome that they would go crazy over $80.

I never broke the terms of service and was never paid by PayPal ...they are still holding almost $400.00 of mine without reason. The 180 day hold passed a long time ago. I'm over a year and still waiting. Issuing refunds didn't work for me.
Try filing a complaint with either the Better Business Bureau or Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, make sure to express that you believe you did nothing wrong and for the resolution you want is to either have the Permanent Limitation lifted or just your money back

Hi, I am writing because I am recent victim. My Paypal account was suddenly blocked last week for no given reason. After many attempts and an hours of waiting on the phone I reached a supervisor named Dora who told me there is nothing they can do to unblock my account. She also refused to give me a reason for the blockage and told me that my money will be held for 180 days and there is no guarantee it will be sent back. I am absolutely furious and in shock that after years of using this company they seem intent to steal my income. On top of that they don't even attempt to offer an explanation. Does anyone know of any class action law suits that are being filed in 2023? I know I am not alone on this issue and I am another pissed off customer who would like to see this fraudulent company burn to ground!

I definitely agree... as a person who uses PayPal and buy and sell PERSONAL COLLECTIBLES from my PERSONAL COLLECTION... my products (except for comic supplies) I buy straight up from an LCS and digging in flea markets. If I decide to TRADE UP my collectibles in a form of cash to purchase my Grails... No one should be able to tax you on what you made. Hence I’m launching an APP myself... let’s see what happens 😉

I got shut off PayPal for life too. They said I made too much money too quickly and since I sell coins I don't have receipts and shit for buying. I was sending money to friends and family all over the place and they said I was a risky account

Our dispute rate is at 0.5% which is 3x less what paypal considers them self as "high risk" (they charge dispute fee's only if you have a 1.5% dispute rate stated on their website)

I talked about how their false ban is affecting one of my lines of income and thus my life, especially during pandemic times.. I was so shocked that I got a response in a day and got unbanned without any further questions or anything. So funny because the previous 2 times I called in person the agents said there is nothing that can be done lol. Wish u the best of luck man

Hi, I am writing because I am recent victim. My Paypal account was suddenly blocked last week for no given reason. After many attempts and an hours of waiting on the phone I reached a supervisor named Dora who told me there is nothing they can do to unblock my account. She also refused to give me a reason for the blockage and told me that my money will be held for 180 days and there is no guarantee it will be sent back.
I am absolutely furious and in shock that after years of using this company they seem intent to steal my income. On top of that they don't even attempt to offer an explanation.
Does anyone know of any class action law suits that are being filed in 2023?
I know I am not alone on this issue and I am another pissed off customer who would like to see this fraudulent company burn to ground!
Man, sucks that it had to go down that way because it definitely sounds like the issue isn't actually resolved but instead you found a workaround. This really scares me with PayPal. It's not that I do a lot of transactions but the thought of any of my money being locked up and losing access to the account which is my primary way of buying and selling is cause for concern. I definitely agree... as a person who uses PayPal and buy and sell PERSONAL COLLECTIBLES from my PERSONAL COLLECTION... my products (except for comic supplies) I buy straight up from an LCS and digging in flea markets. If I decide to TRADE UP my collectibles in a form of cash to purchase my Grails... No one should be able to tax you on what you made. Hence I’m launching an APP myself... let’s see what happens 😉

I got shut off PayPal for life too. They said I made too much money too quickly and since I sell coins I don't have receipts and shit for buying. I was sending money to friends and family all over the place and they said I was a risky account
To add to the conversation, we are in the last few months of their agreement with Ebay.....I think they are shutting people down just because they sell on ebay too

BRO THEY JUST PERMA BANNED ME FOR NO REASON. This is truly frustrating because as you said they will NOT give you the specific reason why you're getting banned. I did nothing wrong but buy and sell clothing on Depop and Grailed. @@timtim0226 What did you send them? I'm running a micro SaaS company for 3 years now and they're holding €20.000 for 6 months. Our dispute rate is at 0.5% which is 3x less what paypal considers them self as "high risk" (they charge dispute fee's only if you have a 1.5% dispute rate stated on their website)
@@fx1738 hey sorry to hear about that. I reached out to them using the message center on their website. I explained to them what I use PP for and how the platforms that I use require PP to operate. I talked about how their false ban is affecting one of my lines of income and thus my life, especially during pandemic times.. I was so shocked that I got a response in a day and got unbanned without any further questions or anything. So funny because the previous 2 times I called in person the agents said there is nothing that can be done lol. Wish u the best of luck man
