  • Police say former Virginia State Trooper Austin Lee Edwards drove to Riverside, California, to meet up with a 15-year-old girl. He allegedly lured her into an online relationship by posing as a 17-year-old. Cops later found the bodies of the teenage girl's grandparents and mother inside their home which was set on fire. Edwards was later killed in a shootout with police officers. Thankfully, the teen was not injured.

The police in the US only have to have a GED and no training on human behavior. So many other require a bachelor's degree with an additional year of training, so they can deal effectively with situations. My surprise is we aren't seeing more of these types of stories, our police aren't qualified for anything but being violent.
