@MayaLifeInThePhilippines Richard I want and will visit Phillapines and want to find a wife....is there any process to meeting some women. I am college degree home owner business owner and romantic. Can you refer me to a group to plan. I will stay for 60-90 days to find
Marrying up is fine for both parties. Foreign men like a more attractive partner than they may be able to get at home, women want a more financially stable partner than they may be able to get a home. The dynamic mostly works and is a win/win for both. I have dated two filipinas and married one, now divorced. I would only consider a relationship with a filipina, as they have a blend of all the qualities I look for in a woman. The key is choosing wisely!
This is a good-to-know baseline as a starting point. But wouldn't you agree, as is most often the case, these myth~realities are gonna depend on the particular Filipina you hook up with and her goals and expectations. I like that your presentation Did kind of a Myth Busting though.... that the normal stereotype doesn't Have to be your reality.... find the person that best matches your boundaries. The one thing I ABSOLUTELY agree with is what Gio said: that the girl should feel like she is marrying up! Peace and Love, B Goat
just because something is possible, it doesn't mean it's likely to work. some breaks inbetween living together .. maybe (i.e. to go back to the home country to sort stuff out a month or two) but definitively not below living half of the time together / near each other
Hopefully traditional philipino culture will fight back against it, if not, morals values and principles will follow. All combined would make for a societal mess. Thankfully, you 2 are solid. Whatever you do Gio, it must right for Maya, because she still has that new bride twinkle in her eye. Kudos. Both of you take care.
I find it hard to believe that the Foreigner doesn't feel like he's supporting the whole family I've seen many guys get burned this way has Filipino family does have no sense of privacy to the new couple
Most of women in the world, as she comes more independent financially, the more they play hard ball with men. Attitude changes. I hate to say it but it is like a child who as you let him have more freedom, he becomes like you can never say no. Independence makes them more rebel. The reason why the western women is more challenging is because they are more empowered.
Maya is VERY westernized or she is trying hard to be. She doesn't strike me as a traditional Filipina at all. I wonder if Gio has any second thoughts on marrying her.
She doesn't strike you as traditional??? Watch her channel, she does all the traditional roles in the relationship- she cleans the house, cooks special/western meals for him when he wants, does the lion's share of the shopping, she's independent from her parents due to trauma, etc... They share a common passion for making RUclips content (in which he is the Mentor/Leader). In the West Gio is like of 5 (no offense Gio) and Maya is a solid 8+ (IMO)... only in the Philippines does their SMV line-up. Personally I think they make a great combo. Gio, Second thoughts.... only if he's delusional like Western Women all thinking their 10's. Peace, Goat
Been in a LDR for almost two years now and we have only spent 10 weeks together total in the summer of 2023. It's not easy and I don't recommend it but it's what her and I have to do for now. I'm praying to be back to her before my 50th birthday at the end of October. Good video Maya
I like how the camera Slowly zooms in on Gio as shes talking about the subject for the video as in Boy are we going to learn about how rough Gio has had it hahaha
@@Rube_LifeFoodandTravels true. But even MORE true is: “don’t go off thinking reciprocity & transactionality will work out fair, equitable, & honorable.” That’s like thinking a lion won’t eat you because you wouldn’t eat him/her. Or thinking an “I owe you” can get cashed in for its intended value. We should try to be fair-of course-but you’ll get emotionally hurt if you expect fairness like you give it.
Im very independent woman, specially in financial situations,i value hard work too, but sometimes when the husband don’t like a wife to work or have a job outside ,it gets very frustrating for filipina specially when they dont get a support from the husband and they cannot work too at the same time because they are forbidden to work😂Thats very frustrating in life.
I respect your perspective and I feel for the women in such a predicament, but that begs the question: WHY in the world did she marry him in the first place?? If she is career driven then why did she marry a Traditional Man and not clearly cover that topic/discussion prior to marriage?
All women are a product of their culture and societal pressures (as we all are). The Filipino culture values age and experience FAR more than the West and the Societal Pitfalls of poverty are more prevalent (opportunity and life expectations). Filipina's are very different as a result. Peace, Goat
exactly,,,i have been in many arguments with my ex gf, she could speak english but did not understand the meanings. She would accuse me of stuff from which she thought she knew what i meant, it was frustrating.
Its just funny when im rich im a wanted, high demand guy but if not rich everyone just want either avoid, being mistress or just have fun... If money matter then i dont want anything serious as i dont want to make my life a burden and working my ass out for support someone who gonna cheat on me while in ldr... Better to be single and have fun...nobody gonna hurt or use u then... I can cook, bake, clean, shopping and most gf i was spoiling like a princess and all still cheated or found someone else while was not around even it was just few weeks...lol
I love how Gio is keeping the even keeled emotional responses, and comments to a minimum. He’s perfect for taking on a subject, & offering a counter perspective for your RUclips channel. 🙏😅
Nice vid & topic. Only thing I would say is that Gio tends to come from the perspective you should only find a Filipina by living there first. Majority of people in these channels can’t do that & want to bring a Filipina back to where they live. It’s why I tend to listen to yours & not his anymore. I hope he understands his audience a bit better over time as I like how he talks.
She's NOT worth what you've built your entire life. Most of them are extremely deceptive!!! It's all about money and financial security. You're too old to start over. Be calculated OR be MISERABLY stuck! DON'T be fooled or you'll be FOOLED!!!
@@MayaLifeInThePhilippines, it’s one turn off for me, to even visit the Philippines . I prefer to go to where women have a better understanding of how to be the high value person, you want to attract. 🙏

It’s not their first language. They don’t use it for communication in their daily lives so expect it to not be spoken good with everyone.
Give and take is very important in a relationship as well as understanding.

A Filipino woman finding a foreign man is like walking around and finding a winning lottery ticket.
I've been telling foreigners it's more about wage gap, not the age gap.

it doesn't sound very fair, the way you've described it. Perhaps you can explain it to him that way?
