OMG! I haven't seen this since it first aired. My dad, who was a truck driver, was watching it with me. I failed to notice the guys right arm was sunburnt, but dad immediately said something. Then the actor said he was diving in England. We had a good laugh at that. Miss you dad. God bless.
Swicker... That is such a sweet funny memory. Thanks for sharing.
Same i had given up on ever seen it again
Awww. How sweet.
RIP Jan Hooks 🤧🥺😇 I like to think she reunited with Phil in Heaven in 2014 ❤️
I feel the same way ☮❤😥🇨🇦
She was great!
I've thought about this skit from time to time over the years and figured it was lost to antiquity, but here it is! It was awesome to hear that line, "Yep, nice 'n' red in the right places and the rest fish-belly white" again ROFL. So good to see this classic skit again!
Jan Hooks. No one on SNL did Southerners quite like her. She was the best!
Bahahahahahahahhahahahahaahh!
Needed that today!
I love her style of comedy. I still watch Jane Curtain & Jan Hooks on re-runs of "3rd Rock from the Sun" I always wished they were my best friends.
She was from Georgia too
Remember the Basement of The Alamoooohhhhhh!!
She was also brilliant at the condescending attitude.
1986.. freakin' great! Willie Nelson!
Willie Nelson was also really good here, among many SNL greats.
OMG!!! Willie Nelson , what a scream he is !!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jan Hooks has her character down to perfection...
she is from Georgia sooo....🤷🏾♂️
She's great. It's so sad that she died so young. I first saw her on 3rd Rock from the Sun. She'll always be Vicki Dubcek to me.
A sunburn in England. Is that possible? How did I miss this sketch when it came out? Hilarious
I can't believe I haven't seen this til now!
Yeah, seriously! Australia, no problem. But England?!?
It is possible.
It was in 1986.
It was possible back in 1986 cuz Climate Change hadn't happened yet.
But yes, you are correct.
It's impossible now
I wish the actors took time I to remember their lines now like they did then. RIP Hooks and Heartman
That’s the best Jon Lovits has ever looked.
Oh, so THAT'S who that was. Thanks!
@@herrp8765 you’re welcome! 😄
Yeah it took me a minute to recognize him.
Yeah, dude looked straight up like Judd Nelson playing the local sheriff in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! 😅😂🤣
"Welp, there goes our liquor license ."
Nice.
Jan Hooks was amazing and made me laugh and still makes me laugh when I pull these old clips up.
RIP Jan Hooks!!! Thank you for making me laugh!!!
This was my favorite era of SNL. These actors were so funny.
Just seeing Jan Hooks makes me laugh
same love her
Jan did southern accents perfectly, really great performer
@Peter Huang true, but most people from the South lose accents over time if they leave the region.
First off, best line "There goes our liquor license!"
And what was that Willie was handing the boy? Remember, kid, the first one's free...!
And suddenly..........Willie Hugh Nelson!! The rest of the days gonna have to work hard to top this!!
God damn Willie Nelson 😂😂
Wow didn't expect to see Wille Nelson in this 😄
Notice how polite they all were
Jan Hooks could play anything!
I live in the south and, I can't recall any tanning salon's - with Wille Nelson!!!!! Also any one walking out with a tan like those!!!!!
Jan Hooks was always so great!! Gone too soon
Omg Willie! And Jon Lovitz is hilarious. I’ve never seen this one. RIP Jan Hooks
I thought I was watching a sitcom from the 80's. I was waiting for a Crazy Eddie commercial on Channel 11.
funny sketch. 86-87 was a great season, apparently!
I loved Jan Hooks. So hilarious and beautiful. RIP
I can't believe I've never seen that before today...
I'm from the south I love southern music
Jan Hooks often played characters with southern accents, and I always thought she pulled it off so well. It wasn’t until her passing that I learned that she was from the South, born in Georgia, in fact.
George Wallace picture on the wall😂😂
Will Nelson omg 😲 awesome
“Well, there goes our liquor license.” 😂
RIP Jan Hooks💖
LOL! I never saw this one and never knew Willie was on SNL!!!
I was swapping with my co-driver to balance the sunburn on my arms!😂
Whew Jon lookin good.
Willie Nelson! God he looks young here, I always thought he was old, but then I was little.
Willie Nelson has to be 70 years old
He's 87!
How appropriate for right now! lol
0.49…..that’s what I look like in summer. I’m from the Scottish highlands!
5 minutes. 1 chuckle.
Buck Weinstien. 🤣
Exactly.
Funny. How about a “Hood” Skin Lightening Clinic, next season?
Jan Hooks was born and raised in Decatur GA so she knew the accent.
.. ' ain't got no Job & Still Live with Mommy' woulda been more Accurate..🥴🐖🌽🪕🤱
willy nelson is classic
Thank god we can still make fun of the white guy
WTF! It's Willie!
Jan Hooks was the best.
I almost clicked off and then the apparition of willie Nelson himself appeared.. im here till yhe end
Fish Belly White🤣
Got a keystone lol
ol' Willie Nelson...!
The Hebrew translation of Adam is red man, or made of red clay. Indians are brown.
Willie!!!!!
Yeah Victoria Jackson! Look n’ sweet!!
Homophobic cow.
Brilliant…😆😆
Too funny
❤❤them both
Was that a young John Lovett’s?
That’s the best he’s ever looked.
Yes, that's Jon Lovitz, among the best cast they ever had on SNL. It was always worth watching in the 1980s & 1990s, especially with people like Martin Short, Jan Hooks, Christopher Guest, Nora Dunn, and Phil Hartman on board.
@@eduardo_corrochio 💯% agree!!
@@princesslisamarie7860 😊
I bet that kid is like 40 years old now.
Who's the chick at the reception desk?
Victoria Jackson was in the right place.
Willy fuckin Nelson yes
Ah, the old days... before Jan Hooks died of cancer and Victoria Jackson went insane.
What are you talking about re Victoria Jackson? Have some respect.
@@fozzybear8878 She became a christo-nut conserva-tard white supremacist... so no, not worthy of any respect.
@@ericspencer8093 Hey- thanks, Sebastien- just finding some info on her now. Yeah, white supremacists are worthless individuals. A shame she got so lost in life.
Insane ....wuht? Never heard!
Sebastian Sade...it's so sad...earlier today I found a sketch from like 86 with Jan Hooks and Sam Kinison as a school teacher at a parent teacher meeting in the classroom.
3:35 Initially I thought it was a gay alert
This would never do in this political climate!! My how things have changed. It's against the law to laugh at ourselves anymore. And it that Willie Nelson? Holy cow!
Isn’t that Kenny Loggins?
Jon Lovett never look so good in his life.
Because she was from Georgia.
Jan Hooks the best ever
And, here we have hollywood making fun of country folks.
Just understand what's going on.
Though they really do make fun of every region/class.
What's not to make fun of?
The South. The one place mo matter the joke it can be gotten away with.
I once heard two comedians say the same thing. You can say anything about the South but could get in trouble with others. Sure they may occasionally get in trouble bu no worries about the South.
That's Willie Nelson (country folk) poking fun at country folk WAY back when they knew how to laugh at themselves and fully embraced that change was happening in the USA.
Hollywood makes fun of everyone dude
Buck Weinstein.....yippee kye ye oy!
👍❤️
wow, didn't live up to the title. willie looked lost.
Not his element for sure.
A one joke skit
World's nicest Trump supporters
Nice one...now don’t go blowing up any bldgs in the name of Allah there, Shiva.
@@abstractheory1 I’m pro-Trump and all, but Shiva and Allah couldn’t be any further apart.
@@abstractheory1 Allahu snackbar.
I was joking but also being endearing. I don't support Trump, but this video made me think of the humanity in those who do support Trump. For whatever reason they support him, doesn't matter. They're human, something got them there, and I feel overwhelming compassion for them. Honestly.
And I can say that while, admittedly, also being upset with them for many pro-Trump antics. But that's how the political world is with "both sides". Flashpoints of bad examples, obscuring the human story of the people themselves.
Toothless in tannerville
RIP Willie Nelson! Gone too soon!
He ain’t dead tho...
ahah
Kinda gettin a vibe between Jon & Willie..
It's not the colors of your skin but the content of your soul. Now these are church going folks and they believe in loving their neighbor and freedom. That may sound quaint to you all but they're by and large the people who defend our decadence, the salt of the earth folk, the diamonds in the rough
Why do they call them rednecks?
~Because they are looking down at the ground growing everyone's food, and they get sunburn on the back of their neck from it~
Ridin' the tractor and getting burned by the sun on the neck and arms. Why else?
If SNL was done in Alabama, then this skit would have been about gay, liberal NY city hairdressers.
That would have been funny too, probably
This is where trump goes.
Shocking no Vote Biden t shirts.
I thought I was too young to understand snl back then. I realize now it was just dumb
If you didn't grow up in this era or was exposed to it by your parents on videos, it wouldn't make sense. SNL was very edgy years ago, made skits about everyone, every culture, every race, every region as well as the current events. I was thinking they never picked on religions, but then... there's the Church Lady, we all knew this lady at our churches, she definitely existed in the 60's & 70's. Today's SNL is so politically correct 😞
The true political base of the Republican party...
Snl was funnier in 1987
Fuck Willy Nelson and his dumbass so-called “music”.....
Willie !!! 👍👍👍
