Really like your videos. You can tell you are very enthusiastic about astrophotography. I have 2 setups currently Askar FRA 300 Pro with ZWO ASI533MC, ZWO EAF, Orion 60mm guide scope, ASI178MM guide camera, ZWO AM5 mount, and ASIAir Plus controller. Rig #2 is Askar FRA 600 with ZWO ASI2600MC, ZWO EAF, ZWO 30mm guide scope, ASI120MM guide camera, ZWO AM5 mount (same one as previous, can't afford 2), and ASIAir Plus controller. I saw your video on the Juwei-17 and was thinking about picking it up but I am concerned because the manufacturer just discontinued it. Anyway, great work.
Great advice! I love the way you broke it down and included the money saving options. My only complaint. . . Where were you last December when I started getting into this hobby! ;)
@@TheDostergaard I was probably procrastinating on starting this youtube channel. My apologies! Thank you very much on the feedback! Btw, I was a drummer all throughout highschool and middle school! Your channel triggered some pleasant nostalgia!
@@johntoet779 Tell me about it! Maybe I went with more expensive options here and there but I want the most trouble free experience for people starting out!
Funny how you mentioned the FMA180 right off the bat and I just purchased that the other day to start putting together my first full rig. Only thing I have right now thats gotten me into this is the seestar, which i'm sure I'll be using for quite awhile still until I get this rig all purchased and figured out.
@@shadowOrgon The seestar looks quite interesting, haven’t had the chance to play with one yet! Anyway, congrats on the new scope and welcome to the club! Clear skies.
Ok so, I recently purchased -SW EQ8-R MOUNT -SW Esprit 150ed refractor Once i pay this off. Im thinking my next investment (in the best usful order) would be : - polemaster -DewHeater -camera -auto focuser -filter wheel -eagle controler Im woundering if controler should be closer to the top of the list?🤔 Any thoughts or advice Thanks...Joel
Hi Ali , nice video as always :) I’d personally recommend getting the ASI2600MC Duo so no need for a guide scope or a guide camera. It’s my go to camera (I also have an ASI2600 too)
Hey Ali, thanks for another great video. I looked at various posts, but couldn't find a list of the gear you are using. Was wondering the type/brand of filters you've settled on, particularly narrowband? On another subject, have you read any of Sanderson's Skyward books yet?
@@tomstahr3272 Hey tom, I currently have a set of chroma 3nm filters and will be testing out a set of Antila 3nm. Good comparison videos idea perhaps? Have I read any of Sanderson’s books you ask 😁? My friend, I’ve devoured them!!
