    Nice review, well explained.
About the play/backlash in your rotator, there is a little hole with a setscrew to fix that. Be sure not to over tighten though

As someone who is thinking of getting an Esatto 2" to use with a 4" refractor with a worn focuser, thank you for a very clear, informative and objective review of the Esatto. I expect I'll be a lot poorer in the near future!

@@RoyPeters-hj3ou It is most definitely a great focuser, if a little overpriced. I just sold my regular version of the 2inch now that I exclusively use the low profile. I don’t think you’ll regret it!
Why not use a simple focuser though since you have a refractor ? I hear the gemini focuser from Ali express is sweet and very cheap at only 71$ !

Great video, Ali. I have the EdgeHD 8, the Eagel 5S and now the ESATTO 2 LP, I will be putting it all together this weekend. Keep up the great content.

I realized I didn’t specify my focuser. I’m using the Esatto LP 2 inch model. Thanks again

Love your photos on AstroBin and these videos. I'm planning to get a similar Edge 11HD setup. Do you mind listing your image train build list including all the adaptors?

    Thanks for the video.
I was considering buying the ARCO alone.
It's good that you mentioned it doesn't work without a focuser from PPL.
I like their products, but I don't want to buy everything from them since they are really pricey.
So, I think the Pegasus rotator is the better product.

There is a brand called wanderer that is also an option, haven’t used their products but the price is a lot more palatable.
      Thanks for watching!!

@@AstraPharmaq8 I had „contact“ with wanderer. A few friends of line had there first and 2nd series of powerboxes. All of them died after a few month to a year. One of them died with smoke. Now wanderer says the new version dosent have any problems anymore but I have made the experience many times that its more intelligent to buy one time a expensive and well made product then first a cheap / bad one and them the expensive :D

Just discovered your channel recently and really enjoy your videos. Not sure what mount you are using but that thing is a brute. Do you have to get a crane to move it outside? I do have one suggestion and I hope you don't take it as a negative. You talk pretty fast which sometimes makes it hard for me to understand. Again, really like your channel and hope you will continue.

@@marvinwhisman3333 My back complains every-time I have to move this beast of a mount outside. It’s an EQ8R.
Thank you for the suggestion and of course I won’t take it negatively. I’m new to youtube so any feedback is helpful to me!!

Thank you for your review. I have an Edge HD 8 with an Eagle computer and have had a problem with my curves and autofocus. There is a diamond shape instead of a nice parabolic curve. I reached out to Primaluce and they said my step size was too small and recommended a starting size of 3000. I played around with it and initially got good curves and focus, but now it’s back to playing games again. So, what step size are you using for your good results? I know “your mileage may vary” depending on the specifics of a particular rig, but I’m just trying to get a feel for a starting position and the experience of other users.

It sounds to me like you are getting a decent V-Curve. As long as your software finds optimal focus I wouldn't be too concerned. In any case, I use 5000 steps on NINA. My Focus method is StarHFR and my curve fitting method is parabolic. I use 5 seconds exposure for my broadband filters and 15 or more seconds for my narrowband. Hope that helps. Clear Skies!
