@SmartFocusprime hey, I can't do it for this type of video because it's recorded on line so the sound can be bad sometimes, but for the payslips I don't put it on cos the sound it's clear.
I love your content, I tried my level best to advise youth about how easy is to get in tech with no degree. I dont have any degree and I work as a data analyst and I am specialist there earning 90k there, the first certificate I did was Power Bi certificate on microsft, I used youtube and I read about 15 books just to master data analytics. Now I am on bursary getting the degree for computer science. Please LISTEN TO Boni

There is already a lot of IT in Surveying. Most people get into surveying through a geo-informatics degree. Most of our softwares are made by Surveyors with the help of IT people though.
Im a Quantity Surveyor with a Monitoring and Evaluation post grad. M&E is data analytics based. It saves me good when combining the two.
However all l can say is Data analytics is a sort after skill in every industry and one has to recalibrate one's profession towards a bias in data analytics.

I cab confirm this is true. I am an ERP administrator without a degree. I hold the highest paying tech post in my unit after the director. I actually teach directors and municipal managers how to use the system at its best.

@@unathilekwa1160 I did a National Diploma in I. T Business Applications and graduated in 2013. The content of the course consists of tech and commercial modules such as Information Systems, Development Software, Systems Software, Financial Accounting, Applied mathematics and IT management. The course is available in Walter Sisulu University if Technology and TUT. Those are the 2 universities that i have studied in that i am sure of. I did my Btech Financial Information Systems in 2013 with TUT.Next year i am starting masters with MANCOSA.

In terms of porfolio, is it better to do GitHub profile or build a website where you can showcase your work?
Okay
Either one of those. In a job interview, you can talk about the project that relate to a job requirements
Both can work, find one that aligns with the type of skills you have. If you have web development and Data analytics skills I’d say create a website with all the relevant projects. But if you have only data analytics skills, having your projects on GitHub still works perfectly fine. Just find a way to have recruiters access your GitHub projects on your resume maybe by using a link or by having one of the greatest projects you’ve done as an intro to recruiters accessing your projects on GitHub

Good advice, but one doesn't need a degree to build an app, there's tons of information on the net.

I’d still advice young people to get their degrees if another pandemic comes people get retrenched based on qualifications too hey
But not everyone can get a CS degree, and obviously, this is not advice, just showing others what they can do, especially with those degrees with no jobs. They can get into tech but definitely not advising scholars not to consider a degree.
@@liferesetwithboni Yes. But, did you see how Mikhaela is getting her degree, even though she got the job without one. Mikheala is a senior, that doesn't need a degree. But, during a recession, the ones without degrees get retrenched first. We saw this in Silicone Valley, & during the "tech bubble". Correspond with a university & get that BSc
