Is there a third party company involved locally and handling his SARS and IRP5 or is he using his own company in SA to interface with his overseas company? Well done Ray, Well done Boni !!!
This is a beautiful , Thank you so much for the video. Advice : If someone wants to stay anonymous I don't think it's a good idea to ask them personal questions like which school they attended ,Their maths teacher , which year they matriculated because with quick OSINT you can find their real identity. Question for Rey: He mentioned most of the jobs he got in the past were through referrals , He didn't go through the traditional method of applying online , doing assessment , interviews etc My question is , Do you know any platform or recruitment agency where one could use to apply for cyber security remote jobs . I have noticed a majority only cater to US Citizens
The good thing is that we discuss the questions first, so he is comfortable with sharing. All my guests see their questions first and remove what they don't want to talk about. I never ambushed, and that's why my videos have never been taken down, cos we make sure that we are on the same page before recording and after recording we double check what I need to edit out. So no worries, I know you didn't mean it in a bad way.
Did you watch the video? He didn't speak about End User, only spoke about A+ and N+ , so take your time and watch the video. I think we covered everything.
Most times it is very repetitive, unless there's some kind of crisis. The idea is to address issues that could be a problem. So lots of reporting, investigations, project implementation, and meetings take place.
Main challenges are the time and the people. Time because things take a while to get going, and issues that pop up cause big delays. People because teams don't want to be told that their system is faulty, most are hard headed and you need to somehow convince them that it is a legitimate problem that needs resolving.
This guy doesn’t know security he is giving away more information which I can pinpoint him. Now I know he is Coloured Guy in Cape Town, know where he study. His Maths teacher. The year he completed School

Free, but I have no idea where I got it from. It was in 2022, and I never changed it. I'm such a rigid person, don't like admin, if I find something that I like, I stick to it. 😄😄😄
This was informative.
I'm currently set to write three certifications this year - sc 900, network+ & security+ so I'm really happy to know I am on the right track but I am curious to know if building projects is also as important as certifications?
Critical
I currently have an IT Diploma and work as a Cyber Cadet at Local Municipal Library so I do basic software and upgrade IT repairs I really want to know the certifications that he did to get his foot at the door in Cyber Security. I wanted to do Data Science but after seeing your snippet on TikTok I'm interested. I just need the step by step certification I should do
Okay, watch the video at 3pm.
CISSP is the father of them all cyber certs
You can start with Security+ , Cybersecurity, then you will go to higher certs as you proceed
H Boni, I'm new here, I just came across this and decided to watch. Very interesting and insightful. I have just completed my Security vetting course and I thought of venturing into CS which i'm starting next week, I dont have any IT background. Am I on the right path?
I can't say cos I'm not the professional, but I think the guest gave you the rough idea of how you can approach it.
Drone Pilots, please submit your slips.
Lol
I need Ray to mentor me!
🤣🤣🤣
Hello Sis Boni, is Ray open to being a mentor? I will be honored to talk to him. Thank you so much in advance.
Let's wait for him to answer!
@@liferesetwithboni thank you for the content, I am from Gaborone, Botswana unfortunately I haven't secured a job yet, m in Cyber Security space. Interestingly I have been interviewed by Companies from South Africa.
@@sekateksekate beautiful to know!
I am willing to pay for a session with Ray, I hold A+, Security + certs and want to get a role As a soc analyst.
Unfortunately because of time I do not think I'd be able to mentor, sorry about that.
Thank yousis Boni, for the work you're doing. This really helped.
You are welcome.
Where and how can I find the good mentor
Great interview. Perhaps one question for Ray would have been how he receives his salary from his overseas employer. Is there a third party company involved locally and handling his SARS and IRP5 or is he using his own company in SA to interface with his overseas company? Well done Ray, Well done Boni !!!
You just use an accountant and pay provisional tax, I do the same if I'm working as an independent contractor.
Can Ray please mentor me
This is a beautiful , Thank you so much for the video.
Advice :
If someone wants to stay anonymous I don't think it's a good idea to ask them personal questions like which school they attended ,Their maths teacher , which year they matriculated because with quick OSINT you can find their real identity.
Question for Rey:
He mentioned most of the jobs he got in the past were through referrals , He didn't go through the traditional method of applying online , doing assessment , interviews etc
My question is , Do you know any platform or recruitment agency where one could use to apply for cyber security remote jobs .
I'll ask Rey to come back to your question.
Which course would you recommend for cybersecurity
He did mention them
Something Darth about this video 😂
What is that?
@@liferesetwithbonidarth Vader is a villain from star wars
I believe I'll be there soon I just need to write my certificates since I've been doing bug bounty
🥰
Hi Boni please do local government ie Councillors, pr councillors etc
Lol😄
Am currently doing cyber intro with Cisco but am so not consistent i get so frustrated
I Hope this will encourage you.
i also started my IT career in Helpdesk and getting R5000 and more meant i have to work every single day
Shame sorry
@pamelamade did you do the certifications?
Sesi Boni please ask him is it a must to start with End user or i can just get A+ and N+ to get entry level job and work my way up to cyber?
Did you watch the video? He didn't speak about End User, only spoke about A+ and N+ , so take your time and watch the video. I think we covered everything.
Entry level certification is A+
$195000 per annum or month?
Annum
How can I learn cybersecurity
Did u watch the video?
What's the day2day like as Senior Cybersecurity Analyst?
Noted
Most times it is very repetitive, unless there's some kind of crisis. The idea is to address issues that could be a problem. So lots of reporting, investigations, project implementation, and meetings take place.
@user-it9sj6py3z thanks Rey
Chest pains all the way 😂😂😭
😅
How do I build up a portfolio that I can show potential employers
build projects that solve real life problems
Thanks
Thanks for the advice but how can I find those or find a mentor to guide me out
What are the main challenges in his current role?
Noted! But i heard you sometimes don't sleep at all, sometimes 1 or 2 hr sleep.
Good thing is you don't know why he is wearing a mask. 🤣🤣🤣
And u gonna do what with that infromation?
Good luck finding me 😂
That doesn't say anything about cybersecurity🌚
Never clicked so fast
Lol but don't be naughty, watch the video and use time stamps if you must.
Thank you Boni
You are welcome.
Thank you so much.

OMG email me , you can wear a mask as well, xaba.bonisile@gmail.com.
Thank Yöu For sharing..Nice content👌🏾❣️..
Question can I study IT via Udemy..is udemy certificate created here in SA? And will I be certified? As I am interested to study IT but online. Which institution is relevant to study this career but online? Your assistance will be Highly Appreciated 🙏🏾
You need to do specific certifications not generic IT on the Udemy platform..Where do you want to be?
@@liferesetwithboni CompTIA A+.. As the are lot of Bogus College
@@lindiwemthembu180 but write your exams on the comptia website, that's what you need to do..
Go with specific certifications. These would teach you the necessary, as well as look good on your CV.
@@ReyRyuu-w8v Thank Yöu for your reply.. May you please elaborate when you said specific certificate, Hence I am not familiar with an IT industry..My aim is to get a qualification nor certificate that will open doors and being employed.. So where can I start?
I am into the Software industry but it's hard to break into the industry special as junior Dev from bootcamp grabs
Offerzen?
Try building a portfolio to showcase your work.
you need to do projects.
having your own portfolio of projects that showcase potent skill is even better than having qualifications.
Does exchange rate concern him.
😅 he will tell us
