    John, I am so looking forward to following the story of this trawler conversion. She's a diamond in the rough now but with such incredible potential in the hands of a highly capable shipyard. To answer your question, a big YES to riding in the Foremast! WooHoo!

    Absolutely love this vessel I have been following her progress for many years now after she came to my notice via hoekman maritiem, ship brokers in Holland who used her as an example of what can be achieved in converting a dutch beam trawler to a luxury yacht. in answer to a previous comment re the strength of the side hull and deck after inserting the access stairs to the water line, the photos that i saw showed incredible thickness of the hull and strengthening plates plus Maaskant shipyard would NOT allow their name be associated with any conversion without their engineers verifying and rubber stamping any modifications, note to owner PLEASE show us photos and videos of the conversion, removal and replacement of the 9 cyl engine = major project. fantastic work keep it up.

    Pretty Sharp ! I like the Unusuall transformation of utilizing this Vessel along with having a well sorted Hull that has been tested and proven in many conditions another Plus is that Crews Quaters Feature IMO a Happy Crew is a good one being in that location with Exterior Decks and NaturalLight in the Cabins will help keep Spirits up on long Journeys often Crews get the least desireable areas onboard and Owners and V.I.P. get the others having a larger area. with the majority being in the same luxurious area is great for Morale ,TeamWork , and Happier times that’s important if the intentions are to use her as a Recreation Vessel by the Owners if you use Cruise Ships as part of a Example most Employees of those Companies don’t like their jobs because of poor living Conditions the Companies provide it’s Ironic because that’s the opposite of what most people think they are but the Internet has allowed those secrets to be told and shown She would be more Stunning if the Pilot House and Above Deck Superstructures could be Painted in a Gloss White with a few areas of Brightwork as Accents perhaps Window Trims Handrails , Stair treads , whatever i’m a Traditionalist on how boats should look i know it’s extra work and Costs and i’ve Owned All Wood Construction that all you do is Varnish

      I was wondering if you were going to comment on here. You know, me and you plus that other guy are the pre-eminent commentary leaders for Yachttube. I was invited by Denison last year for FLIBS to come down and get the VIP experience. It was a lot of fun. Of course my comments sometime stray into the troll, or rant space so I got noticed more, but one of the things they had asked me was about other commentors that I knew of. Obviously you, Darth KEK and the guy that just says 'Lekker man Lekker' (Sebastian something) came to mind. They had mentioned that they might want to get other superfans to come to the shows and they could get them on the boats. I don't know if it will happen again. The original plan with me fell apart pretty bad a couple days before but I still got to go. I just didn't get all the time I was promised. So if they do it again and they reach out to me, I will put your name forward as someone to talk to. KEK can be a little 'prickly' sometimes and these were super chill people. I got to meet Victoria and Rico plus Alexei. All the Denison reps. Almost met Nick and Marrianne and David Seals. Tony from Yacht Addiction didn't read my IG post in time to come hang out and Tristan was shooting something with David that we later learned was the Lionshare video and Jared Watney plus Chef Dean were shooting their own video for a charter yacht. So I missed a lot of people. But saw cool yachts, did my own walk through video on a Sunseeker Predator 60, 'broke' a one of a kind Rolls-Royce (not really, I knew what I was doing), met the Denison media team and interviewed Bob Denison. It was cool. So we'll see what they do this year, if anything and if they want a new person, you'll be the top person I tell them. No promises, but we'll see how it goes.

The only thing it lacks is a swim platform to give old fat guys easy access into the water and back onboard. 1 or both of side entries could be adapted to put a swim stair (old fat guys don't like ladders). There is luckily load of places such a stair could be stored when not in use.

    How much does a luxury conversion of an old fishing trwaler, that is on top of the purchase of this old fishing trawler?
    Especially if a new hybrid diesel electric propulsion system, with rechargeable battery packs and solar panels or wind turbines maybe too?
    Also similarly if a state of art electronic navigation and communication, as well as advanced underwater and above water sensors plus propulsion systems too.
    This conversion must be as costly, as buying a similar sized new built trawler luxury yacht, when you have to remove so much of the original fishing trawler to start with?

  • @tsclly2377
    @tsclly2377 10 месяцев назад

    the battery pack will sink her.. probably by design no utility left and they could have bought a built out boat at 1/10th the cost, but these projects easily can incorporate 'kick-pack' and 'slush' costs..
