    What a great little boat. As you said, everything you need and nothing you don't. Take this to the Bahamas and live life large on a small boat. In fair weather, this would be a dream. I'll bet this sold in just a few minutes. Thanks for posting and making my day.

    My perfect boat to spend the rest of my life exploring east coast and Florida coves and rivers....dry shower, complete access to bilge, wood work, everything about this boat is perfect for an east and south coast trawler fan. My favorite boat of all you have shown....thank you...new owners will enjoy... Would start with the keys cruising and living...

    Jordan, the first thing you should have said about this boat is that it was designed by Dave Gerr! Did you notice that the fineness ration is 12:1? Performance oriented catamarans have fineness ratios like that. At low speed this boat should just sip fuel, perhaps a gallon or maybe two per hour. Any time I see a boat like this it always make me thing of dutch barges and the possibility to run one as a straight electric boat. The max speed on the canals in Europe is about 3.5 knots and there are some being built now - your range is somewhat limited, but you can plug in at marinas. Also, if you're out in the middle of nowhere, you can pull over and drive stakes into the side of the canal. Then you just tie up for a couple of days to recharge the battery array. Anyway, nice tour!

    What a fantastically thought-out boat - and she was offered at such a reasonable price too, no wonder she's now sold. I'd have snapped this beauty up in a moment.

    Very interesting boat, with some equally interesting design choices. The woodwork is so beautiful, and then you get to the floor choice and it instantly looks like the boat is 60 years old. The 12' beam is almost as strange...the interior looks a lot like that of a British narrowboat as a result

    Good job pointing out the top notch features of this boat. I agree, it's a worthy vessel. Determining what this boat is asked to do is a bigger issue. Can't call it a Looper, navigating many of the northern reaches would prove a difficult assignment for a basically flat bottom.bost. This is a coastal and flats cruiser, crab and oyster type of fishing. Perfect vessel for the Chesapeake. I wouldn't want to ride out more than three foot rollers. Very nice boat, just not an All -Seas rating.

    If you had asked me to estimate its age, I would have said about 50 years old. The style, design, woodwork, flooring, windows etc a; look old. Having said that there is a boat for every person and a preferred style for every person too. I know this style is very durable and loved by many. Still, hard to believe it is only 20+ years old.

      In very basic terms…the wind pressing on the sail helps to prevent the boat from rolling. It was a standard feature on early trawler style yachts. Of course it wouldn’t work well in every orientation to the wind.

    One of the worst boats i have seen. No salon/ lounge, a ironing board "table" for the galley. ZERO outside lounge space, a stupid wethead taking up needed space, almost no storage, no range, particle board floors. I can go on, calling this thing a scow would be an insult to scows.

    • @darrinjones3736
      @darrinjones3736 10 месяцев назад

      It actually was NOT a wet head. Two dry heads forward to port and aft on the starboard side. The simple, full sized shower was across the companionway from the forward head. A unique design, especially with regards to the forward v-berth door used as a cover of sorts when opened. Likely a shower curtain is tucked away inside the shower.
