Emma Frost is not dumb, she is assertive, intelligent, wise, and cunning. Her personality is strong and there is no way she should be under Sebastian Shaw. She is nerfed in the movie so badly. 😢 She is a born leader.
She would have had to kill Shaw in order to stop him from being a threat and I doubt she wanted to do that. He wanted what she wanted in a war. At full potential(nuclear)he is the strongest mutant. Even Xavier could only eclipse him with Cerebro. Once Shaw got the telepath shield it was over and proved her concerns over him as a threat and confirmed as a strong ally in taking down humanity. So by this outcome we can suppose she WAS choosing the most calculated outcome. (Although they did dramatically objectify her which is a Hollywood problem.

You’ve clearly not read the comics. When Emma Frost was first introduced in the Dark Phoenix Saga in the 1980s, she was originally a member of the Hellfire Club and didn’t join the X-Men roster until 10-15 years afterwards. Emma was known as the White Queen and was second in command to Sebastian until he married Selene Shaw who later became the Black Queen.
They did make her a bit “femme bot” in the movie. She could have been much more formidable. I was still thrilled to see the character in live action 💎 🤍
Her other mutations is changing actresses, changing alignment from good to evil and vice versa, and changing cgi styles.
........... at least, she doesn't change her plastic surgeons. (She doesn't need one. In the comics, Emma is probably one of the most, if not the single most beautiful, female characters.)

The actress played Her parts perfectly. It's not so often that an actress is able to channelise such coolness in her character.
For what she's given, sure.
In essence, she's a 'one-way warrior' - perfect on offense, perfect on defense - but not both at the same time.
I also like how she doesn’t boast around about her powers like a girl boss.

Some iterations of her character the diamond form was like a layer of skin and others it was like her entire body internally and externally would be composed of diamonds. It’s technically a secondary mutation which is quite rare for mutant telepaths so the way it works has changed in the comics

its so interesting how her diamond actually started cracking, seriously an overpowered mutant. Literally could cut through glass with her bare hands and could probably do much much more. Having a powerful defense and a powerful offense although not being able to use at the same time, both are very powerful
Diamond is actually quite brittle, due to its carbon structure not being able to bend. This means that diamond is not very good at absorbing and distributing kinetic energy.
It behaves more like obsidian, rather than a moldable metalic substance like copper.
So, yes, diamonds make a poor armor in general, because its molecular structure is prone to easily crack.
She has regenerative diamond formation but not enough to last in bed 😂

@@csguak However, its is an organic and flexible diamond form, if not, she could not even move in that form, so its organic diamond form obviates the original molecular structure that not inclined to bend.
She’s in diamond dorm..she could badly hurt a human in that form alone. She’s a freaking ROCK! They nerfed her so much.
Remember that if they actually showed the mutants full potential, then any story where humans dominated them in outright warfare wouldn’t happen.

Magneto wouldn't have been able to break her diamond form like that. That's what I hate about the movies: They don't follow the comic book rules and logic and than wonder why fans don't like it.
Same goes for killing Darwin. Darwin can't be killed he can survive anything that's his literal power. The movie makers seem to be unable to handle the comicbook reality.
Since movies don't necessarily follow comic rules, maybe that wasn't diamond in this version 🤔

@@antigoku2083 yeah I remember that dumb scene. Inhumans vs X-Men right. Before this instant her diamond form could withstand the actual blast of a Celestial and only break an arm. Besides the writers defiled the X-Men during this period because they wanted them replaced by the Inhumans because they didn't own Fox yet. So.... Not the best argument.
You have to understand that they have to balance out their powers in the movie or else, everyone is going to become OP as F.

Fyi she weighs 600 pounds and has superhuman strength when shes in diamond form.
Her fingernails also become as sharp as a diamond blade cutter when shes in diamond form.
So tackling her down and restraining her while shes in diamond form will not be easy.
Fighting her in her diamond form is like fighting a full grown polar bear that cant be penetrated by bullets.
The movie didnt give her that justice.
Even when she's barely herself she's still resplendent beyond compare

Emma better be part of the main MCU X-Men team.
I'd take out Rogue and put Emma Frost instead.
Rogue's storyline is pretty much done with the original trilogy plus her powers being used to build sentinels in Days of Future Past.
I don't really see much more that they can do with Rogue unless they explore her romance with Gambit. But that's also already been done, albeit with Iceman in the original trilogy.

Not really knowledgeable in the comic lore, but diamonds can be crushed with enough force. Even hammers can break them since they do have weakspots and are brittle.
@@user-oo7dw4qw4b Thing is Emma's body is made out of a substance similar to diamonds, it's not diamond per se. If it was she wouldn't be able to move at all. It's a flexible organic "diamond" like substance. Which makes her a lot less brittle and way harder to break.
I love the First Class actress and the glass mirror effect than the diamonds. She's scary on the enemy's side.

Funny how she's able to turn her clothes to diamond, too. Also funny how they first met her in the 60s, then completely disappears from the story before somehow showing up again in the 80s except she's younger now and working with Charles now instead of Eric.
I think the first Emma Frost was absolutely boss, because that's the most memorable one for me.

That glance over at half the cast they unceremoniously killed for future past really hits different.
You forgot about an other weakness that when her diamond form is cracked she can't turn back into it well at least for a while.

January Jones really was a great Emma Frost
The first version isn't really Emma Frost, but rather and original character based on her.
His name is also Emma but the last name is confirmed to be "Silverfox" as her sister in that movie (Wolverine's gf Kayla) and she doesn't have mental powers like Frost.
But she turned into a form of diamond.
I loved how she was in Origins Wolverine that, I would liked to see more of what happen next to after she and Scott escaped the island. Also if her sister didn't die, and made it off the island with her. As in First Class, if she had more scenes in the outfit she's, and didn't make herself look sexy with illusion.
Her name is Bond, Emma Bond. A lot of First Class feels like what if Xmen happened in the James Bond uninverse.

Her Powers Are So Cool🔥🔥❤❤
How strong is Emma? I mean she blocked Charles with just her own telepathy, no "special machines" no boosters, no nothing, just a 1v1 telepathic brawl?! Is she powerful enough to do something like this in the comics? Also, one thing I loved about this incarnation and a think should be in every incarnation of her is the whole diamond motif, not only on her clothes, accessories and makeup, but also on her telepathic powers, like when she makes Magneto remember his trauma with her mind blast you can see crystalline patterns around the borders or with her mind shield that is literary like a crystal shell, this was an AMAZING decision that could be taken further, for example when she creates illusions they could form as if a crystal is being formed and whatever they are dispersed they would shatter, idk just speculating. Whoever thought of this and giving mystique that weird scale motif was a genius and deserves a raise.
She's arguably the second most powerful telepath on earth behind Charles.

She doesn't need her brain to have long range, she was able to communicate with the X Men when they were on Mars without her brain

Emme from comics is moore impressive. She neve loose a fight against Erick and Charles because she can lift 2 ton in diamond form. So, in phisical strength she is moore than a match for him, also she can free yoursel easily from metal bars in diamond form.
The diamond effect in Xmen first class is beautiful, whereas it is terrible in Origins Wolverine
So she is more powerful than dr Xavier himself.. I thought Xavier was one of the top most powerful mutants.. But Emma has the power of Xavier and also she can change into diamond..
Emma Frost is my most favorite X-Men character, she is beautiful, wise and strong. But she got nerfed in Fox movie! Hopefully MCU will make her strong as she is.

That is why i hate X-men movies so much because so much times they reboot it over and over countless times and everytime the abilities go different in the non-sense way like The emma frost which her original power only turn herself into diamond and can protect herself from any source and also can reflect laser power or over charge it that is really cool in the comic
What bothered me is that metal is not stronger than diamond. There is not reason her diamond should have cracked
