In the comics, each one is a very powerful telepath, one of the most powerful in the world, 3 of them can level with Emma Frost or Professor X.
And in the comics, there were a thousand of them. Only 5 survived.

@@iloveblondy that's not true. Emma actually dominated 1000 Cuckoos minds on her own. Plus she taught them how to use their powers. And one time she kicked the 3 in 1 and even one of them having a fraction of the power of the Phoenix Force wasn't enough to beat her.
Emma = X. The 5 Cuckoos r extremely powerful and block X or Emma and go toe to toa with them but lose at the end.
They don't have the same experience as Emma do.. thats why they lose
In comic, theirs combined range is up to 100 miles radius. They can scan mind within 100 miles, however, they need to be close to their targets to control mind. They can only fully control 1 mind at a time, and with crowds, they can only control them to do very simple stuffs, like go to sleeps.
@@iloveblondy yeah their diamond forms are much powerful than Emma Frost. But their telepathic can successfully block her but cannot win her. So their diamond form win, but telepathic abilities are not.
I'll always love this series for adapting the Stepford Cuckoos, Blink (again) and Polaris and making them interesting and dancing on grey moral areas.

Well in my book it's morally questionable, to respond to violence and hate, with violence and hate. For example bringing down a plane with people who weren't necessarily involved in anti-mutant activities, like the crew, in order to kill two racist monsters, is more than questionable. Even if from certain perspectives those two "deserved it", killing them in a terrorist attack turned Polaris' cause into a vicious cycle. When you lower your own moral floor to the same level of the one of unjust people, everyone loses.

Good to see the acknowledgement of them starting as 5, sad to see it wasn't for very long, and never in the story.
Acknowledgement? They started as a thousand on the comics. Only 5 survived. 2 of the 5 died and then came back..

Shame they didn't include telekineses and diamond form. It's funny that they put Esme as the lider and the one with more morals, when in the comics she's the most conniving and ruthless of the five.
I didnt know Cuckoos had telekinesis and Diamond form, just the telepathy. How did they get telekinesis if they are clones/ offspring of Emma who doesnt have that ability?
@@lucaleone4331 Actually, Emma Frost possesses some latent telekinetic potencial, but it was never explored, mostly because the writers didn't want to add more similarities between her and Jean Grey. In fact, a lot of telepaths have telekineses: Psylocke/Kwannon, Quentin Quire, Rachel Summers, Cable, Exodus, Selene Gallio and even Charles Xavier.

I loved that series. The end of season 2 felt like unfinished but sadly there is no new seasons since then.
It ended on a cliffhanger. Someone needs to buy the show and continue it with a third season

@@afro_princess1671 fox had the rights to the xmen and fantastic 4, thats why wolverine and other xmen characters where not in the marvel studios movies. recently disney (who owns marvel studios) "bought fox" so they got the rights to the xmen back and because of that all of the marvel shows got cancelled so disney could make their own shows

Amazing for one actress to portray three different characters in one scene.
Wish they focused on the actual x-men characters: Blink, Thunder Bird, Polaris, Stepford Cuckoos and Sage.
X-Men Evolution only had two new characters: Spyke and X-23, while this show has so many new ones: The twins and their father, Marcus, Rebecca, Dreamer and who knows who else.
The twins arn't new. The Fenris twins have been in comics since 1985. This adaptation changed a few things about them but they are not new.
Always loved the 3 in 1
Hate that this show got abandoned, preferred this to the later xmen movies.

This happened to me in real life: 1:19 I was with someone and my intuition was screaming at me to get out, which I did. Later out found at the person was a psycho and literally saved me. Moral of the story always listen to your intuition, the sooner the better so it doesn't have to scream or be too late.

Yeah Emma's diamond mutation developed later on in her life. It's been awhile since I've read comics but maybe they've developed it by now.

It’s interesting how the X-Men storyline has changed over the years and growing up in the 90s I never imagined the story taking a turn like how it did.

They would never, their whole MCU was supposed to make us forget about The X-men and this series is part of that, now people are claiming this should be brought back to that.

I'm probably an idiot but it took me forever to realize that this was Marvel owned. Because up until recently (6 months ago) I've never heard of this show and I've never heard of any of these characters from the comics or from any knowledge that I knew of.

I really hated how they portrayed telepathy here. U cannot resist telepathy unless u have an ability that can. Plus 3 high level telepaths couldn't keep one person under control.
But other than that, I really loved it. The Cuckoos were my favourite in this show. I am sad they cancelled it
You have to remember they were young, and he was desperate to save his family so his will power might have been strong. I do agree with you tho just wanted to give an explanation as to why it happened.

Telepaths are my favorite marvel superpower. They made it too simple and boring in the Fox movies. Making it unable to be resisted unless you had some special metal helmet on was dumb.

Telepathy in X-Men is like the gift of creating a wifi signal to another’s brain. You’re hacking a brain basically.
Making it able to be resisted while also introducing psychic blasts, astral projection and any other telepathic talents besides simple mind control makes it more dynamic and interesting.
They’re so powerful
And yet not even close to Emma’s power. Find that funny.
