    I have a 650 Interceptor and I'm also 6'5", it was nice to finally see how someone my size looks while riding this bike, I have often wondered.

    Really great video - and, as well as saying why you love the Interceptor 650 you're also very realistic about its failings. A nicely balanced view. I'm 58 and only passed my test in August. I immediately bought a chrome versions, and absolutely love it. I used to ride Lambrettas in the early 80s, and had a Honda 125 in the 90's. It's fab to now own a bigger bike, particularly one so stylish and at a good price point. Mine had done 12 miles and I managed to get £1k off the list price. Happy days!

      That’s really nice to hear. It’s so cool that you have to Crome version. I am thinking about changing my tank to the Crome version. Cause it’s just so cool

      haha, so the same to me. I´m 56 an beginning my License right now, coming from those 3-wheelers (Yamaha Tricity 300), but I just need something more to cruise and calm down when riding, thats my target.
      However, my actual thoughts are buying this wonderful bike, or even the Super meteor 650. The main reasons are definetly the price and the oldsxchool design. surely other bikes will fit my usage much more better, but I just ike it! 😎😎

    i rode mine all day in the mountains today. it’s amazing for people who want to feel what it’s like to ride a raw, unfiltered motorcycle without spending a ton of money or working constantly to keep a vintage bike running.

    I think, if I recall correctly, you are the exact type of person the original ad for RE 650s depicted. Especially the surfboard on the side.

    Good review. I would add that the slipper assist clutch is very easy on the left hand in stop and go driving because it allows for weaker clutch springs. The shifting is the best I have ever experienced: butter smooth. It is also easy to do all of your own maintenance including valve tappet clearance inspect/adjust (no shims, just simple screw and lock nut). Center stand is standard. With no liquid cooling there is one less fluid and system to worry about, the oil/air cooling is simpler and works great.

    I changed the Tire to Bridgestone, they are way more Sticky in the Curves. The RE Inter650 is a perfect Basement to customize in all direction. When i had it new, one Guy cam to me and ask did i built up this bike by my own :) i told him that is brand new from the factory. Best torque range is from 3.800 till 5.000 rpm.

    Nice to see you're able to combine both your interests so well, I'm enjoying your content. It will be interesting to see when you renew your tyres if you notice a difference in handling. Mine had Pirelli sportscomps from new. I had a bit of wobbling at low speeds, the steering felt heavy in cornering and a bit squirrelly on some road surfaces. I waited until they had worn out then changed to Avon Road riders . I was astounded to find it fixed all those issues and absolutely transformed the ride. The nimbleness in cornering was the biggest surprise!

    The Intercepter is on my list when I have the money. About the best deal around in Argentina since they built an assembly plant to avoid the 100 percent import tax. I'm still waiting for the scrambler version I keep hearing about though.

    I owned a 2021 Interceptor, sold it in October 2023 with 11.000 kms on the clock. Though the bike is reliable regarding the engine, you can see that shortcuts were taken regarding suspensions, brakes, seat, original tires are bad and in my area the dealership isn't reliable. Euro 5 specs are quite restrictive and render the bike running quite hot in summer and even when the weather cools down. I also ride an '82 vintage Moto Guzzi 850 California that is way better than the Interceptor, better suspensions, better brakes, better seat and talking about vintage feeling the Interceptor sounds like a cheap Asian bike in comparaison of the Guzzi that delivers true sensations.

    Deine Sichtweisen zu den Marktpreisen finde ich sehr gut und sehe das genauso, obwohl ich auch bobachte, dass viele Gebrauchte zu horrenden Preisen angeboten werden, wo man sich fragt, ob die sich was vergolden wollen, manchmal rätselhaft, aber wenns nicht gekauft wird und rumsteht, ist den Anbietern ja auch nicht geholfen.
    Ich habe hier zwei RE Dealer im Umkreis von 100km, einer hat sogar auch Brixton und da steht die 1200er Cromwell 😉 Muss da halt nur mal hin irgendwann und testen.
    Ansonsten wieder schönes kurzweiliges und sehr informatives Video, Danke dafür....👍
    Muss halt echt sehen, ob die fürs längere Touren auch für moich in Frage kommt, denn neben der INT schaue ich mir auch sicher die Super Meteor an, fürs CRuisen sicher unschlagbar und das will ich ja. Und in den Schwarzwald komme ich damit auch 😎🤗

      @papajulietromeo-650 Год назад +1

      @@FreeMilesMCThe Rebel 500 is 7190€, and the similar CL500 is 7090€. The CL would be the closest competitor for the Interceptor. It‘s a great bike, but it‘s a modern retro scrambler that only uses some design aspects of old scramblers and puts them into a modern package. Rides great, sounds great, but it doesn’t deliver that „old bike“ feeling like the Enfield does.
