Why do you always get a small shield and put it on your arm rather than just keeping a heavy shield and using it actively? Is there some benefit to using just a one handed weapon without a shield?
@Sagacifer when you use a one-handed shield, it does more damage with the jab attack. It is quite helpful in 1v1s, and when you are at a higher level, you don't use the shield as much
@Sagacifer Personally, I play 1st person, so I find it covers quite a lot of the screen. On top of that, eventually, it breaks, leaving an opening for your opponent to get a free attack in. In all, I think it does help more than it hurts, but we just don't really play around the shield, so intern we just don't use it.
