Another couple of tips for fighting multiple enemies. When moving, try to position yourself so that your enemies are getting in each others' way. Use body blocking and team damage to your advantage. You will want to alternate targets based on who presents the most immediate threat. If you land a hit, immediately try and get a hit on the next guy about to lunge at you, once you've staggered them, move on to the next person, etc. If you parry an attack, use your riposte (usually a stab) to hit the next guy who is winding up to attack.
thats (or most of the guides) are kinda basic if you read suntzu or similar samurai books :) funny in this game you can actually practice (like long sword in small rooms - not good etc.)

Executioner Axe is not horrible, but it has a lot of negative aspects and I believe it only shines a little bit in big team modes because most people arent very good. Its slow and has a bad stab, so most of its use is going to be from spamming heavy LMB into crowds and hoping for the best. Ive done well with it, but I certainly dont like it. It seem reasonable to have a really long guide for any Medieval combat game. In these kinda of game, there're alot of weapons & combat technics to used, some unique ability & using terrain for your benefit ... while you're playing with either 20-80 players or intensive 1vs1 duel. As a Mordhau player, even though the 2 game has many noticeable differents ... i can used 1/3 of this guide can be used successfully in both games. If you look at any Medieval-combat game guide in a ... kind of a nutshell, it all about how to be a "better player" in many situations as possible, both as a skillful combatant & being a good teammate (and in my opinion, a respectable opponent).
Absolutely amazing guide! I was a Chivalry player way back in the day, and had about 60 hours into Mordhau. When I picked up Chivalry 2 during the Steam sale/launch, I spent the first 3 rounds just slashing not even realizing there were other attacks (I stupidly skipped the tutorial). This helped me so much and after 5 or 6 hours of practice I’m finally getting a positive KD in most of my games. Definitely subscribed, kudos to the amazingly detailed video! 🎉 Edit: as a fellow RUclipsr (sort of), you definitely could’ve broke this into multiple small videos for way more total views. I think you still should! Just my 2 cents ☺️

I got into this game recently. I only have about 10 hours in it and suck. But it’s still so fun, and this guide has helped a lot. Also I played a game with you (or with someone using your name) the other day and you were really good; you were the duke at the very end and did a good job defending yourself from the other team which was otherwise much better than ours; I remember you had barely any health left at the end but luckily time ran out. Also that intro was really good, loved the music

Small but fun trick for shields: Pick up a large shield with the enemy's colors -- you can easily sneak around their left flank 90% of the time, if your heraldry isn't too revealing. I was able to easily keep my noble alive for half of my last elimination match by doing this, and the Agathians simply ignored the guy with the huge blue shield despite the red stripes on his shirt (although I stayed in the shadows to help conceal my allegiance). The only problem is the inevitable friendly fire you'll receive.
This doesnt work on normal players in most cases. If youre an Agathian and you pick up a Mason shield, it should swap automatically to an Agathian Shield (assuming no bugs). To your credit though, this works with odd-cases such as Peasants and VIPs such as The Duke, The Heir and Thorn. Probably the Monks on Galencourt as well.

A blessing from the lord. In the shield section though you forgot to mention (or i didn't hear) that counters negate the damage shields take. They still suck.
The main thing that fustrate me so much in the game is indeed struggling to land an hit and dying in like 2 second during a combat (Lack of skills) But it was nearly impossible for me to undertand my mistakes and on what I should work on to improve, this guide you made helped a lot and now I enjoy the game way more

Such an amazing guide! This has become one of my favorite games and it seems like your content is some of the only material worth watching for it. Thank you!
very good guide to get into the game properly, i had zero idea that strong attacks with blunt weapons went through multiple opponents, i had zero idea that the parry had a specific hitbox or that kick didn't do anything against enemies that aren't blocking i assumed i just missed the kick, also i did not know that weapons could outspeed the reposte attack and keep swinging on you. or that the duck has different quick animations depending which way you moved in. so many good tidbits that's easily missable especially coming from original chivalry as many of these concepts are new. and as i am playing man at arms i will be using dodge after attacks to maneuver more quickly around in 1v X opponents, and yeah rushing in alone and getting swarmed, that's me alright. i'll have this in an open tab and practice different things in this guide for a while i think.
@ZiggyLata .. thank you for creating this #chivalry2 video. It's good and thorough. Best part, is at 1:34:30. I'll pull my kid from his games (Fortnite, Fall Guys, Minecraft, Rocket League, etc.) to listen to just that section. OMG he needs to listen to it. Don't be a shitter!
The only thing I really remember after watching this entire video was the cute laugh at about 59:33 Honestly the best part of the video. Really well put together guide though, I appreciate the effort :)
Just got the game, so coming in a bit late. Definitely a long but helpful guide, I basically watched a few parts, practiced, then continued. Thank you!
I just discovered this video and it’s hugely helpful. Dude, I need more videos! Even if it’s just gameplay with some commentary about what you’re thinking. You’re entertaining and knowledgeable and I want more.
I think the Engineer should get access to the Man at Arm's 50% less dodge cooldown. All of his weapons have hitstop and he doesn't even have a secondary weapon so he kinda sucks in 1VX. If he had the dodge cooldown ability and the user was good, he would be able to kinda take people one at a time in a 1VX. He would still have hitstop though so he still wouldn't be great in a 1VX just a bit better

“Don’t be the sandwich, be the ants”
Inspirational.
6:56 I’m sitting here like yeah yeah eff 3rd person…. Only to see….
I now understand and lmao gosh I’m groomable
I actually clicked off the video after having my first person preference validated. Guess I should give third person a shot
ayo? WHAT?
in 8+ years of slashers addiction btw in game plays, mechanics learning, form numbers etc etc this is the best content ive ever seen for: quality, precision, simple comunications of contents and the passionate cut that emerges, GG zygg
That shoutout to Teripper was awesome! I remember him being literally the only source of competent guides, once HEXEN left the game. Good Times!
Yeah, he was a nice guy.
It is by far the most comprehensive guide. Although I have watched many guides, I still learnt a lot from this guide and it still answered something puzzled me for a long time
Came for the guide, stayed for the KC:D and Oblivion background music.
Finally a lengthy video that just gives me a good amount to go over. Beautiful.
A blessing from the lord. In the shield section though you forgot to mention (or i didn't hear) that counters negate the damage shields take. They still suck.
The speech at the end about being kind because everyone is just out here trying to have fun.
That's worth subscribing for.
The main thing that fustrate me so much in the game is indeed struggling to land an hit and dying in like 2 second during a combat (Lack of skills)
But it was nearly impossible for me to undertand my mistakes and on what I should work on to improve, this guide you made helped a lot and now I enjoy the game way more
I love some of the background music you chose. From Elder Scrolls IV to Ace Combat Shattered Skies?? Like what. That's awesome. Great guide. Look forward to utilizing the information.
Zigg: *googles riposte to check pronunciation* "Oh ok, i'll never say it wrong again"
Also Zigg: *proceeds to say it wrong anyway*
Jokes aside, thank you for this
Even though I was demotivated by the length of the video, I must say I enjoyed your video and the way you talk. You did a great job! :)
I love playing the guardian role with the one handed spear. It’s honestly really good if you can play it right
Out of the numerous jab honks in this incredible video, there wasn't a single one I didn't laugh out loud to.
That intro was fantastic. I would never get tired of something that well put together and well edited. Amazing gameplay friend.
What a guide! From start to finish. Well done mate. And you sounding like a nice level headed dude is just a bonus. Well done!
Now feed yourself properly. Have a good one.
The Chivalry 2 bible is here!
Holy shit, I am just watching but the intro made me write how much I already love this. Thank you so much!
Very thorough and comprehensive, excellent job!!
The only thing I really remember after watching this entire video was the cute laugh at about 59:33
Honestly the best part of the video.
Really well put together guide though, I appreciate the effort :)
I cannot believe this.
that's what you call an advanced guide ++, let's go!
Your thank you at the start, touched me. Subscribed.
Hell yea zigg good job man. Fantastic work. Keep it up 🙏🏼
Just got the game, so coming in a bit late. Definitely a long but helpful guide, I basically watched a few parts, practiced, then continued. Thank you!
Legendary! Wow man this is fucking epic.
This was sooo helpful, I watched while downloading it and immediately realized I should return it
What? The game isn’t that hard
It is finally here! Thank you! :D
I just discovered this video and it’s hugely helpful. Dude, I need more videos! Even if it’s just gameplay with some commentary about what you’re thinking. You’re entertaining and knowledgeable and I want more.
Ill try.
I've gotta hand it to you. You single handedly talked me into buying Chivalry 2. Someone should be paying you for this.
Sincerely, your newest subscriber
Ziggy you have my respect. Absolutely amazing job.
Hey, new subscriber here. Loved the video. I've played Chivalry 2 for like 30 hours now, and have little to no grasp on fencing mechanics, but thanks to you know where to start. Happy New Year!
Congrats on the edit
Loved the video. Good information, also funny edits. Especially with the crossbow headshot on the knight. I laughed everytime that appeared.
I turned this on before I fell asleep to condition me like in brave new world.
Man, I need to say that: I like to think of myself like an decent, experienced player of Chivalry. I knew most of things that you put in your video - but for sure not all of them, you actually surprised me with some things and - what is the most important - the clarity with which you explained all of that is very commendable! Chapeau Bas and greetings from Poland (Vito_Goodman)
The way you narrorate makes me feel like im having a legit convo with you and i litterally caught myself replying out loud expecially at the 1st person and 3rd person part. keep it up imma watch the whole mf thing
Thank you very very much. I used to play mordhau before but had to adjust to the new blocking mechanic.
Recently a lvl 800 told me that I'm good for a lvl 50 and it's all thanks to your guides.
SOOOO again, thanks a lot.
Of course, I'm happy to help.
What a champ, great video dood.
Oh shit, I’m always seeing you in my games. Cool to see that you have a youtube channel bro, keep up the good work
Awesome work Ziggy
