Nissan's 5.6L VK V8 is heavenly~ The M really is a sleeper car, it's really just a bigger version of the G37 of the time, so you get the sporty driving of maybe a 3 series and then the luxury of perhaps a 5 series at the same time. I mean 420 HP from a naturally aspirated V8 in 2011 and today, you won't asking for more power. I can feel the power from behind the screen :D
Great video, I have a 2012 m56x. I ran a 12.9 at the track back in 2021 when I first got the car completely stock. Now I have full custom 2.5 inch exhaust with x pipe, custom cold air intakes, and a tune. Haven’t been to the track yet but when I go hoping to run low 12s. Pretty awesome for a 4200 pound N/A v8… definitely shock a lot of cars trying to race thinking I’m a regular v6 😂
Nice! I think I would have ran a 13.2-13.3 based on my 1/8 mile time. Low 12's would be a stretch, but either way share the results and videos once you visit the track again.
@@DMCarReviews yeah sounds right everything is different with elevation and temperature and that slight uphill road you did it on, I’m surprised you didn’t try out the “manual” mode on the car. At high rpm’s the cars a beast on rolls

Its power delivery is equally if not better than my old 2009 Yukon Denali. Everyone knows that LS are tried and true but the Infiniti VK56 has been such a magnificent experience
As much as the previous generation M cars were rockets...The M56 of this generation will flat out fly. And they're so comfy and planted. Love that VK56. Same engine in my Titan. Though this one is massaged much more.
i have one! How much is it and how many miles does it have. This is a nice car. My supras were awesome also! Where are you located? Faster times if you manually shift. It has fly by wire steering and accelerator.

Yah the exterior styling is until this 2024 still the best. I bought this new in 2012. I drove from Montana to upper Minnesota earlier and had the scare of my life. Leaving a resturant I felt a dull thud in reverse. My wife and daughter heard a sharp explosion outside of the car. The next day in the first 15 miles the M suddenly lost all but 1st and reverse gears. I thought it was a catastrophic transmission failure. Lots of time lost literally 24 hours c lots of car rental mishaps between the national car rental call-in and the airport rental kiosk. AAA adventures include long waits for the tow truck and the agent at AAA (I think “my call” was intercepted somehow) tried to get me to pay an extra $100. A non-AAA tow truck called me just after a legitimate AAA tow truck. Speeding up to the end, it turned out that a new battery ‘restored’ the transmission. These cars are insanely dependent on a good battery!!!! But I’m happy and relieved. I drove a shiny red M3 in January 2012 and that car was thrilling. It also got 11- 13 mpg versus the M56X. Another wierd occurrence: At best the M56X never got more than 20-21 mpg,but now after all of this, a second transmission fluid change and a new battery it got 26.6 mpg. I don’t understand it but it’s all going my way for now. For the money I’ve loved this car for its great but less than super car qualities. I wish I had a 2024 Nissan GT-R but then I’m a cheap skate.

Thanks for the reply , fx suspension is stiff but premium stiffness , how about m56 , it’s stiffer than fx ? Fx steering is super precise , what’s the comparison . I bought fx50 after watching your review .

I have own a 2011 m56x for three years beautiful car. Every time I take it to the mechanic they are shock it’s a v8 engine

I should add that I could blow normal BMW 3’s and 5’s in the 2015 - 2019 period. I stopped challenging people after that.
The M56x is very quick, but it's not going to beat a 550i or M5.

Hi! Good, and you? The M56 is faster and handles better. It's got more power and less weight. The FX50 feels more unique though.
