====================================
I Purchased this cover from AliExpress for £25! Took me around 6 hours in total to install across 2 days. Definitely needs patience, especially if want it to look perfect. Happy with the feel of the product, in hindsight I think I should've went with a Leather X Suede fit rather than carbon as it is very glossy and reflects a lot in the light.
** If you can find a someone local to install it - I would definelty recommend looking into it. Id say I'm fairly good at doing DIY stuff but its still not perfect!
Some tips looking back:
TUCK IN FIRST!! It will make it a lot easier to sew
Go through every hole in the tight areas, and then move on to missing one between every cross stictch to keep it like OEM
Align every edge up as best as possible!

Appreciate this video with the hours and effort you spent on this tutorial mate!
Thank you very much! Appreciate the comment too 🙌🏼
Thanks for the video mate but I have to agree, the creases really bring out the fakeness of the carbon fibre and it looks awful and cheap. I'm going for a leather and alcantara one.
Yep good shout! If I was to redo I would also go that option!
If you stretch out the wrap as you got along and you use every hole rather than every alternate one which was done in this video to match the OEM stitching pattern, then it comes out amazing, none of those dimples and creases. So for those who like the carbon print use every hole! If you’re getting the non carbon then every alternate will be fine :)
Great video, but I always thought you are supposed to remove the old leather? Or am I wrong
Thank you! And no not at all! These are designed to sit onto of the standard wheel, so that you can remove at a later date
How's it holding up without the double-sided tape?
UPDATE:
See new updated video for a better tutorial! New product is real alcantara rather than this synthetic sude:

Hi Any link for the material on the steering wheel
Did it last ? Do you recommend it ?
Where did u get the carbon door handles bro? 🔥
bro I know it's been long but do you have a link to the alibaba page you got it from
I think it would be better to get a full alcantara wrap. Or replace top and bottom steering wheel parts with actual CFRP/CF. Or remove existing part and apply a realistic vinyl wrap instead. Then whack some alcantara on the side parts...
..I don't know why I'm getting exited. I have an 04 Mk5...manz gonna pimp the shit out of it. Thank you RUclips
Cheaper low quality/poor measurement alcantara strips can be tricky to apply..
Hi, Thx for you video, i wonder after put on the new skin do the gearbox paddle still function properly because off the extra material ?
Hi there - thanks hope it was helpful! Yes definitely it still works perfectly - I would have removed if it doesn't as I use the paddles a lot. I have just ordered some paddle extensions too so I will upload a video of them installed too next week so subscribe to see that :)
Dude what brand you got
Not bad for 25 quid
Good one bro
Thanks man! 🙌🏼
Looks good, where can I get one?
I got it from Ali express! If you search on there theres plenty of different styles
Cheers bro
is the suede getting small suede balls on it?
Not yet bro - im surprised tbh at how well its held up.
How long did it take to come
Took about 3-4 weeks to get to here!
where did u got ur mirroir caps
Ebay bro - if you look on my channel you'll see the video on them with the link :)
Look good but too time consuming for me really but good job.
Thank you very much! Don't let it put you off, once you get the hang of it it gets easier :)
