Did this on my current and previous GTI, so twice. Took about 2 hours each time. Cheap product but if you put in the effort, it feels great, looks good and can't tell its a product that's less than $30. Nice!
Man keep it up 👍 I like watching you doing everything to your golf and the way you think is exactly like the way I think about .. Budget friendly and not too sporty.. I’m from Iraq 🇮🇶 god bless you 💐
100% could have cleaned the original wheel and gotten it looking original again. I’ve done it on loads of cars. If you neglect the new cover the same way it’ll look the same as the original wheel. That said, it does look better with the perfed sides and the added thickness really is needed on the Mk7/7.5 wheel. It’s just a little thin from the factory
@@ColoredinLight I've never seen one I could bring back but I also have no idea what the previous owner might have done to it. Even 10-15 years of neglect can be taken care of pretty quickly, assuming they didn't try to paint it or anything hahaha The new cover looks and probably feels better anyway
It’s adds a level of complexity but remove the airbag and trim makes the job way easier. I wouldn’t bother taking off the wheel. 🤙🏻
Good tip!
Dude, been watching your videos since before I finally got my MK7. Your content rocks. Please keep being you and doing your thing!!
Thanks man!

Yea for the price it's worth a mistake or two, especially if changing the style again?

Man I have tried to bring it back so many times. The last owner just treated it worse than I do.
