@@westnblu The melody is from a Russian folk song, but the words are modern, and written by Tom Springfield for the Seekers. The words of the Russian song are quite disgusting. Thanks for this tribute.....this sound is so blessing and from a time where love meant everything.
I had the privilege,to enjoy there music,in my teen years.loved it
2 Icons of Australian music, it certainly is a sad time in Australia at the moment
There are a couple of videos on RUclips of Judith Durham singing acapella when she was about 70, she still had a wonderful voice.
Rest in peace sweet angel......
Now the voice of an angel.
You have felt the love hug from the Seekers. It is very special.
That song mean everything for me, what’s love is all about. 😊🙏
😢 I am absolutely heartbroken to hear of her passing! She had an amazing voice! I loved her solo career as much as I did her years with the seekers! “Love, this is my song,” you can blast with the windows down on a long country road! Another great artist claimed by 2022…
thanks for doing Judith and the Seekers loved their music as a teenager
It was a blessed inspiration that led someone to write this and have Judith and the Seekers sing it.
It reminds of us that love is real and the ultimate good and no matter how bleak things seem, there is still beauty and beautiful people in the world.
