Ordered mine about 2 weeks ago, they was very quick to ship! And thier support is amazing, i ordered more extra parts after ordering the frame just incase and they refunded me the extra shipping to the states cuz they combined them, which was awesome of them... It Was supposed to be here Monday but looks like it got tied up in customs...
amazing, solid frame that flies very very well. ive built 2 of them so far and they are my daily drivers now. the era is definitely a bit heavier than the vannystyle pro, which is another amazing frame, but I just love the way the era was designed and how it feels in the air, especially with an mpu6000 gyro onboard. on top of that the frame is extremely durable. great vid Ian, happy to see you cover this awesome frame. 👍
Hey Ian. Im goingt to be honest here, this 'review' does not seem like one. It felt like it was really rushed and not that critical. I am NOT saying it was biast. I am just saying, that it wasnt as in-dept as your other reviews. I kind of understand this. I mean, it's just another frame. But on the other hand, it's a very interesting frame. So you could have gone a bit more into detail on everything. I mean, you didnt even mention the t800 and t700 carbon fiber, which is kind of one of the most important features of the ERA and 'kevlar battery straps increase rigidity'? Come on, we all know you can do better than this. Now in regards to the frame itself, I absolutely love it. Actually, it has everything I ever wanted. I am currently flying an Apex, which I really like, but the ERA seems like an even better version of the apex. It is really similar, but with a few adjustments, that make it even better than the Apex. So I might consider it for a build in the future, as I am living in Luxembourg, so no extra shipping costs, etc. To be clear, this was not personnal against you, Ian. I just wanted to write a constructive critisism, as that is something everybody needs to get better. I still love your videos, will always do that and the video was still entertaining. Cheers!
Why can't I buy a frame that has good 03 camera mounting, AIO layout, and suitable for a sub250 freestyle build? The ONLY frame that comes close is the Five33 TT HD but it has a stacked setup more like a racing than freestyle. ImpulseRC Micro Apex is crazy old and needs the EVO treatment, give it an AIO, and 03 mounting PLEASE!
I seen a couple other people review it and the one crashed it pretty good and nothing broke it's a strong frame that's for sure it's just a little steep on tje price but I think I will get one at some point I love building new quads and that one seems pretty strong thanks for the review bud 👍👍
Not the right frame for me. BUT, I love that they have thought outside the box and executed some new things. I think the concepts are neat. I'm curious to see hardcore freestyle pilots with various flight styles put it through the ringer.
@@GlobalSourcing I love the idea. I don’t know enough about all the properties of Nylon. But everybody seems to say it’s incredibly durable. I’ll assume that the majority is correct on this one unless proven otherwise. I’m curious what affects, if any, colder temps have. I generally keep flying until it starts getting below 40F(~4C). At those colder temps I see some materials start to react differently. The only concrete part that I question about it is that it’s advertised as being fixed at 20deg. Personally, I fly 30fixed. I’m sure there is some wiggle room in there. But I would not want any obstructions in view.
I'm still waiting for this frame to come in the mail but the USPS lost it and now i have to wait until they find it. This reminds me of the Apex frame. Download the STL files for the parts you need for this FRAME. At $110 is not bad. Armattan frames come with a lifetime warranty on everything that might break which is EPIC for s company to offer. Print the RadioMaster mount for the front of the cage. The Armattan BEAVER is a great frame it comes with it's own racewire and sticky battery pads and fly high has STL files for the LED FEET to run LED strings through the feet. He sells them for 10 Yoda's which is totally worth it.
Very interesting. I hope to see this show up in US shops. I don’t want to get stuck only being able to order parts from one spot over seas. I’ve been dealing with that flying quadmula framed which I do love but when things get sold out you shit out of luck.
Finally somebody put that frame on a scale. These guys don't even mention the weight on their site. Well, 146g is not bad, but not even close to vannystyle or quadmula.
Think I will stick with the £18.99 apex copy which is very similar to this. And the press nuts are preinstalled unlike this one and the original apex kits
A oner for a frame! It ought to come with all the plastics, an maybe couple of spare arms. I know tooling is still quite dear, and the indestructible camera mount is one of its main selling points, but lord that's still steep! The only con i can see, otherwise. 😊 Nice piece of design.
So similar to apex, updated in the right places I have to say. I don’t understand how could it be so crash resistant with only one screw holding the arm. In hard crashes on long term the arm will move permanently.Imho
I like shorter frames as well! tried some of the longer ones, like Roma F5, Iflight xl5 and Apex EVO but I really don't like them. and right now I only fly the OG Apex frame, bought some clones of the frame and they are excellent in durability and flight character.
good content as always. The frame looks nice but seems a bit pricey for what it is. Might give it a try one day. Keep up the good work. Support you 100%.
I really like this frame, wanna buy 1 but it's expensive, the shipping is expensive. Ordering replacement parts will be expensive and take longer to ship. They should lower the price
Yeah I feel you. Hopefully pyrodrone and others will start carrying this frame and its parts but until then I will probably wait. I did win a set of the 2208 motors but haven’t flown them yet. They look super nice but there are a lot of once motors out there but less money.
I buy frames from ProtoFPV although expensive but so worth the money for pattyflipzFPV design. The Proto5 is amazing it's the baby hawk 2 HD frame but in a 5 inch. At $172 for the full kit or $145 for the core kit and you can print your own parts. I rather support the creators that make great frames than order ones from China that breaks more.
Hi you said its really flying nice and you using fettec stock I'm using the same Fettec G4 FC and fettec 65A ESC but the tune still not there didn't fly 100% good with fettec. can you share your tune please, my quad flying loses even I changed the motor still not good as other quad I tried to contact them and they have only betaflight tune. No fettec, but the frame rally good and strong 💪
Looks awesome and no doubt has great quality but much heavier than I would liked. I’m sure it’s durable but I think I’d prefer the quadmula f5 split to save the extra 40ish grams.
It’s getting a bit annoying that frame manufactures are continuing to make their frames slam decks, so you have to either have specific flight controller stacks or cut down the grommets on others to get them in, it’s only a matter of 5mm and when I’ve modified a frame to be 5mm taler, it’s made absolutely no difference to the flight experience.
u put on the topplate the wrong way around. cutouts need to face the stack. i like this frame so far. having flown with it for ca. 30-50 packs by now. if you try to fly like ken/dod/nils.vo/abgehoben/refurbished (as in lines through gaps etc) this frame will serve you well. still not sure how this frames holds up to matty abuse in a bando. but so far i can say its a good frame.

Awesome review, Ian! 😃
Looks like a pretty good frame indeed!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
How is this frame work twice as much as a Mario 5? No way.
Yeah I don't see 2x the value here. Speedybee, FlyfishRC, and iFlight frames look better, and are cheaper for me to replace arms and other parts
As always there are diminishing returns between a budget frame and a premium frame. A premium frame will never be the best value.
I think the price will come down in the future. It's their first product and they still don't have the scale of something like SpeedyBee
Without a noise profile from black box or a look at raw noise its kinda a fan boi hail does look good but im apex all day
