A Traffic Cops Special - Motorway Cops (full)

- The police officers who patrol Britain's motorways are under pressure like never before. The number of cars and lorries using our congested roads grows every year but, across the country, the number of cops who patrol the motorways has been cut.
In the Midlands, the hub of Britain's road network, the motorway cops have switched from dishing out tickets and helping stranded motorists to concentrate on catching travelling criminals - car thieves and burglars who use the motorways to travel quickly and easily across the country to commit crime.

The motorway speed limit is 70mph. When a cop car is commonly doing more than twice that then realise it might well be you that, in the distant future, they are breaking the land record for. 150mph is not uncommon, so appreciate they are only human and doing a job and like you doing a job, and mortal. And yes, 150mph is fun, but they NEVER want that speed as one tyre blow out and they are dead = instantly, plus others. 150mph is necessary and it will get faster (God help us) so the message is, Be Aware. Be a good driver, use your mirrors. Second Side Up

I sometimes cant believe the idiots who wont move out of the way, some people don't care about others clearly.
No, it is called lack of respect. Socialism and capitalism have nothing to do with it.
Hey, everybody. Check out his profile. Interesting.
@Tomáš Bouzek At lest we have a higher standard of living in capitalist societies. I don't see what it has to do with this video anyway. Socialism and communism is a system based on envy.
Tomáš Bouzek yes. So rather than getting a job and bringing yourself up. Let's bring everyone else down! System based on envy.
Tomáš Bouzek what country do you live in? If everyone else around you can get a job, why can't you?
Tomáš Bouzek because eastern Europe isn't exactly high standards. Youre looking in the wrong areas.. if there were no jobs the economy would fail
The highways agency respond to this and every emergency with impeccable timing...top marks!!!!
That "doctor" who was doing 101mph should have been arrested on the spot!!!! Not having your child in a seat belt at that speed!!!! Absolutely incredulous!!!!!! 🤦🏼♀️ Even more incredulous he got only 6 points on his license & a fine!!!!!🙄
Agreed but he pulled over immediately, which is why it probably wasn't considered a dangerous driving offence. Up to CPS really.
6 points and a hefty fine is PLENTY for a speeding ticket.
@@davelowets agreed. If he is a doctor, then having him lose his job due to a ban (he said he was on call which requires transport) isn’t really going to help anyone. In this instance he seemed to understand that he’d been caught doing something wrong and held his hands up.
I’m a doctor and I don’t recall ever going to work with my partner and kid, doing more than 100 and my kid running in the back. Also the GMC will have a field day when they find out he tried to bribe a police officer and tried to coerce him to lie about the speed he was doing.
Do you think he is a genuine Doctor?
The results you got, make the British public, so proud of you lot and the whole Police Force, you all do a great job.
Thanking you all !
I love it how the Police give assistance to those drivers who are unable to vacate their motor vehicle.
I love the follow me sign lolololol and the "loose wheel"sing lololololol
If he is actually a doctor huge red flags are waving. For that behaviour he needs to be reported to the GMC.
Spot on
A bit late but if he was a doctor on an emergency they have a flashing green light to use in emergencys.
I love the officers humor "you took a fine time to leave me loose wheel". Hahahaha

so whats your idea ?
We need this system in the U.S.A, so many uninsured drivers.
+northcal1 Even more so in my country. It isn't compulsory to have it here.
northcal1 zute
where I live I the US insurance is mandatory as is a state inspection every year. No insurance=no registration and no inspection. get caught without and it's a fine up to 1000.00 and year n jail. Same goes for driving without license. A least the insurance companies are regulated by the state.
@@josephgalarneau7177 what state is it?
Now 40% of uninsured cars are crushed. Drivers get 6 to 8 points on their license (12 points is a ban) and face an unlimited fine. There are so many ANPR cameras that 35 million plates are captured per day.
I get a total kick out of how the UK cops, get stolen cars off the road. When they box them in, and make them move off the road. We need our US cops to do that. I had 2 cars stolen from me in 4 weeks, they were never recovered, and that put my family in a bad situation. I love to see car thief's get busted. So many cars in California get stolen everyday, it sucks.
Hey sorry to hear that. I hope you got sorted by now. 😾

They don’t CARE ABOUT PEOPLE, or the PUBLIC AT ALL, in fact, in the USA, and CANADA, They have this “WE vs THEM” mentality 🤷♀️

We are THEIR BOSS, THEY WORK for US.
Yet, They try too order US around, all the time🤔
If They come up too You, on the sidewalk, in a Building, or anywhere, and start trying to tell You, to take Your hands out of Your pockets, or “I’m going too pat You down For MY SAFETY”

You do Not have too Speak with Them at ALL, THAT IS YOUR 5the AMENDMENT RIGHT, Too Remain Silent.
They cannot Detain You, UNLESS THEY HAVE REASONABLE SUSPICION THAT YOU, have committed, are about too commit, or are in the process of committing a CRIME.
Then They ALWAYS “TRY TOO GET PEOPLE ON THE, I can Charge You with obstruction” 🙄
OBSTRUCTION, is a PHYSICAL ACT, and would be a SECONDARY CHARGE.
So You have too have COMMITTED AN OFFENCE, in order to be charged with Obstructing One🤷♀️

I've noticed the same thing in several of these. Watch the eyes of the police drivers during high speed.. Wide open, hardly any blinking, totally focused.
That's the same with anyone with a working brain especially with a camera watching them .

I don't know why England doesn't go the way of Australia regarding third-party insurance. In Aus, everyone has to pay for 3rd-party insurance right along with the car's registration, otherwise it won't be registered. The fees are standardised and since everyone has to pay them, they're lower over-all.
You can choose for yourself whether or not to get your own vehicle insured, but you can't avoid 3rd-party insurance unless you're also driving unregistered.
Sorry, how much is 3rd party roughly in your country?
In England the gov do the registration, also the car only changes registered keepers. The car itself is only registered once. Insurance isn't done by the gov so they won't handle the registration too as our government take weeks/ months to get anything done.
Also in a lot of cases due to third party being abused, full insurance is cheaper than 3rd party
Japan does the same but it is done in line with the "sha-ken" mechanical check and no sha-ken means no license plates.
@@conradmichael4539 hi we have compulsory third party with reg and then private insurance if the vehicle is over a certain value.
If the vehicle is out of reg it is not covered by CTP. It should not be on the road. If the vehicle is driven by unlicensed driver or unregistered the private insurance is defaulted. CTP covers basic damage. Works here. Ensures there is responsibility taken by all parties on the road. We are a large country with diverse conditions. 24:54 They've been there for 4yrs and they can't understand BASIC English?!🤔 Shouldn't they have a kind of language test before being allowed to LIVE there?! Study hard!🤬 Don't go abroad and act like tourist instead of looking for a job!😡
I don't think people stowing away in a truck are being greedy. You have to be desperate to do that for a better life. We are very privileged in this country
A lot of these people do this because it can be nearly impossible for them to achieve even bare survival in their native countries. Both the UK and the US are blessed in that they provide environments where people can achieve their dreams. Most of these developing countries don't have this, a lot of times due to corruption or ethnic discrimination. Not justifying illegal immigration but just a need to understand why these people do this.
The idea that everyone has to speak English in UK is racist.

The people saying 'speed doesn't kill' it does. We've had, in one year, 20 crashes outside our farm, 7 serious and 2 fatal. Both fatale were due to the driver exceeding the speed limit and as a result both drivers died and one of the passengers also. A girl I was at school with was killed by a speeding driver, if he was going 10mph slower she would of survived. Also on the case of insurance is that a majority of unaired drivers are people who will speed and drive dangerously and as they are constantly in trouble for doing so, they do not bother with the cost of insurance, if you want to drive without insurance then do it but the rest of us will have to pay extra just because you choose not to and WHEN you crash into one of us decent motorists we'll lose our no claims so thanks for that. I've lost 6 friends, my grandad, nearly lost my grandma, bother, and mother and nearly died myself because of uninsured and speeding drivers.
Meg Stephenson Speed doesn't kill, it's the abrupt stop/crash that kills. If speed killed people we wouldn;t be able to fly in planes.
RandyDarkshade yeah course it doesn't That's why we have speed limits... If someone's going 20 and knocks someone down they're more likely to be fine then at 80 where it's a ridiculously high chance they'll die. Planes are completely different you can't compare the two!!!
Meg Stephenson
Again, it's the force of the impact.
@LifeOfAnEnglishman: wouldnt have such an abrut stop/crash if the speed was lower eh?
here is the equation for impact force for you: " F = (0.5 * m * v^2) ÷ d"
the V in this equation is SPEED(or velocity rather) speed has a major impact on the impact, pun intended. F is the force, M is the mass and D is the distance.

If the kid is sick then why is she jumping around?
If you can't afford insurance, you can't afford a car.
Not true, you can buy a used car for a few hundred and that can be less than the extortion insurance companies charge. That’s why people don’t buy if the cost was reasonable then there is no excuse, and tie it to the registration. No insurance, no registration and the dates need to coincide.
So little situational awareness of drivers on road..can’t even tell lights and sirens behind them..or is it just selfish arrogance

It is amazing how quick all services work together on road repair. In the States getting that burned highway repairs would be undertaken immediately, like sometimes in the next 12 or 14 months.
I guess its cos the uk is smaller. USA motorways can be massive stretches, with nothing in between the towns, ours arent as long
That's one of my pet peeves... theres no such thing as the "fast lane"- theres a driving lane and two overtaking lanes...

While I agree that all drivers should carry insurance (not required in New Zealand), to suggest that not having a vehicle insured is the cause of death on the road is downright misleading!
People feel that they can drive dangerously because their (nonexistent) insurance costs won't be affected. It indirectly causes accidents by changing the driver's mindsets.
If they're not upkeeping their insurance, are they maintaining the vehicle safely? Are they going to drive responsibly?
+max1247 add to that they might be driving a clunker, but supposing they hit a lamborghini, who pays for the repairs?
Spitalhatch ; But drivers are automatically covered for insurance in NZ. There's no need for third party insurance to cover injuries because we already have a form of compulsory 'insurance' that covers injuries caused by a car accident.
I suspect you misinterpreted what was said, where in the video did they say it caused death?
It has been 7 years and it is actually calmer
What ??? The driver who caused an accident on the motorway then ran away was not charged for leaving the scene ??? Here in Germany they would have thrown the book at him !!!
5:55 Come on how many more blue lights do you want 🚔
How do you give someone 3 points on their license when they don't have a license?
Very easily. The penalty points will be entered into the DVLA database. If/when that driver gets a licence, it will come with three points on it already.
The vehicle pulled over with Baby on Board sticker turns out to be for the Doctor !! Wouldn,t want him as my doctor !!!

That way the police doesn't have to use the hard shoulder. Like in this video: ruclips.net/video/02Ak1eIyj3M/видео.html
Then what are the tax discs all about?
