    Used as fertiliser and animal feed in Asia because it grows so fast.

    Ive been collecting this from my pond to feed to the soil, my chickens are picky and wont eat the stuff 🤣

    on a dry weight basis azola may be up to 25% protein . out of the pond it is clearly a wet plant. hope your girls get other food sources

      most tests say 25-35% protein by dry weight - and yes as said, its not the only thing we feed them :) - but it definitely ups the egg count :)

      azolla is edible, but you'd want to make sure it's grown in a drinking-water-quality situation :)
