It’s bizarre how this beautiful clipper mysteriously burned down right at the same time that all the precious artifices had been taken away for restoration. I know it needed millions for restoration at the time...I wonder how much insurance paid out

I suppose when it’s under refit/restoration is when the chances are highest of a ship catching fire.
