They were great together and made Bob Hope and thought that Shirley Ross who had so much talent would make it but didn't do as well surprisingly in her career.
While I'm here with Ll you people that love the old songs... Does Nyone know a song with the lyrics'and one in the nursery like you',, something like that, I've been looking for years...
These were the best times to live in, ever! such a simpler life and time to be alive when friends were real friends and family's were always together. Then in comes the internet and changed everything for the worse..
Here we are Out of cigarettes Holding hands and yawning Look how late it gets Two sleepy people by dawn's early light And too much in love to say goodnight Here we are In the cozy chair Pickin' on a wishbone From the Frigidaire Two sleepy people with nothing to say And too much in love to break away Do you remember? The nights we used to linger in the hall? Your father didn't like me at all Do you remember? The reason why we married in the fall? To rent this little nest And get a bit of rest Well, here we are Just about the same Foggy little fella Drowsy little dame Two sleepy people by dawn's early light And too much in love to say goodnight (Instrumental) Well, here we are Just about the same Foggy little fella Drowsy little dame Two sleepy people by dawn's early light And too much in love to say goodnight Another verse (not present in the above recording): Do you remember the nights we used to cuddle in the car? Watching every last falling star Do you remember the doctor said my health was under par? And you my little schnooks Were ruining your looks... so Here we are... keeping up the pace Letting each tomorrow slap us in the face Two sleepy people by dawn's early light Much too much in love to say goodnight.
After many years I've finally thought of the answer to why in this song a married couple can't go to bed together: it's because they're American and sleep in separate single beds. This shows it up as not the best arrangement. Double beds for married couples!
Love it that this version has the almost unfindable second verse.
Sigh! They really don’t write songs like that anymore. It’s a whistleable tune, puts you at ease, and makes sense.
These two were just wonderful together
They were great together and made Bob Hope and thought that Shirley Ross who had so much talent would make it but didn't do as well surprisingly in her career.
Fascinating to see people so old today look so young
Alpha male here. 2024.
They are beyond marvellous!
Now that's a song!
Bring back proper music

Super song and super quality video.

Here we are
Out of cigarettes
Holding hands and yawning
Look how late it gets
Two sleepy people by dawn's early light
And too much in love to say goodnight
Here we are
In the cozy chair
Pickin' on a wishbone
From the Frigidaire
Two sleepy people with nothing to say
And too much in love to break away
Do you remember?
The nights we used to linger in the hall?
Your father didn't like me at all
Do you remember?
The reason why we married in the fall?
To rent this little nest
And get a bit of rest
Well, here we are
Just about the same
Foggy little fella
Drowsy little dame
Two sleepy people by dawn's early light
And too much in love to say goodnight
(Instrumental)
Well, here we are
Just about the same
Foggy little fella
Drowsy little dame
Two sleepy people by dawn's early light
And too much in love to say goodnight
Another verse (not present in the above recording):
Do you remember the nights we used to cuddle in the car?
Watching every last falling star
Do you remember the doctor said my health was under par?
And you my little schnooks
Were ruining your looks... so
Here we are... keeping up the pace
Letting each tomorrow slap us in the face
Two sleepy people by dawn's early light
Much too much in love to say goodnight.
They were so good together and music was great.

Perfect
Beautiful.
Fantastic.
Lovely (UK)
RIP Vic Chesnutt
What happened to the "cozy chair/frigidaire" verse?
Seth McFarlane has a good version of it with Nora Jones I think.
They don't look sleepy. They are immaculately dressed, not a hair out of place.
