As a gen z...I don't know anything about my own generation...I'm 14 and i am the only one of my friends who doesn't have a phone and no social media apps besides RUclips and reddit...
I'm 18, and in middle/high school, and until 10th grade, I grew up without a phone or social media while it seemed everyone else had one. At the time. I felt like I was missing out. Now that I have social media, I learned that while it is nice to see what friends are up to, you will not believe how addicting it can be. Not having social media now has its benifits, as you can be more creative, and have better health with having less screen time.... I hope that even though it can feel like you are out of the loop, once COVID restrictions lift, you can see yoir friends in person again... it won't be long until its over
Social media isn't what it once was...now it's just a platform for bullying and indoctrination into groupthink. You're not missing anything! Your parents are smart to protect you from that for as long as they can!

Being a Millennial my parents always ask me how I run my air conditioner so low and when I go to their house I always turn theirs down and they instantly are like who touched the air conditioner lol 😆
