Oh look, it's the two halves of my personality having a conversation.
My dramatic literature professor showed us these in class and they still bring me joy two years later.. Except that it's a quickly souring joy in the knowledge that my dreary existence shall continue onwards without more of these amazing shorts.

I'm so glad I found this today. I was referring to S and H in a message to a friend, and that inspired me to go check whether there were any I hadn't seen. I laughed so hard at all of this. The fact that Helium has on a pink fluffy swimming cap. Helium's obvious delight at fitting perfectly in the middle of the inner tube. "Sewwwaaage!" And Strindberg's final concession to a moment of normal beach behavior..."Polo." Witty and adorable.

I am finally free from a five-year relationship like this, in which I was cast as Helium. It was, in the little balloon's own words, "Miseryyyy!" Fuck August Strindberg. Right in the ear. I AM HELIUM, AND I AM FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
I had forgotten alllll about this, until I stumbled across two pieces of fan fiction about these characters on AO3. FAN FICTION.
If I remember it was on Comedy Central ages ago called Jump Cuts. It was a bunch of shorts, who knows where the other skits are, but they were all pretty good.
Maybe the legend of Helium live forever.

I am still laughing at these after so many years. A friend of mine showed them to me, and I in turn showed them to another friend, over a decade ago. We still say things to each other from these. I just showed them to my 8 yo, he instantly picked out my favourite line " I'm dead too!" Genius

It’s a game kids play in the pool. One shouts “Marco” while her eyes are closed, and the others answer “Polo.” Then the first one tries to tag someone else using the sound of their voice to locate them.
