Lovely video with your Nana. You are a lucky lady. My gran taught me to knit and crochet and I lost her in 1993. Luckily I still have my Mum (aged 88 - she taught me to cook). What would we do without our wise and knowledgeable parents - grand or otherwise? I have become hooked on watching your tutorials - thank you from a viewer in the UK.
I really enjoyed the voice-over! I think this is my favorite of all your videos. Thank you for introducing your Nana! You are undoubtedly a very talented woman.
Here's a hint when u tie of3ur threads on the backside . . . When u tie ur 1st 'knot' - instead of 1 loop thru, bring ur thread around/thru 2 times, then when u pull/tighten that knot it stays put and u don't have to hold it in place. Then finish off the knot in the usual manner. (Hope this made total 'cents' - 😎) Enjoyed see ur Nana.
Hi Nicole. Bless your little Nana,s heart. What a lovely smile. The bag is lovely, love the sunflower cork. Gonna have a look for the hiking boot d rings what a great idea. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to next update.
Well done you! I'm not sure which I enjoyed more. The process of the bag or the humor! Oh, wait! It was Nana! Thanks so much. Now I'm off for the pattern.
I loved this...beautiful bag of course but I loved seeing your Nanna...my Nan was my soulmate really as I grew up and I still miss her..would love to have made her bags when she was still here!
Enjoyed your tutorial! One of the ways you can sharpen you scissors at home until you can find it done professionally is to take a piece of aluminum foil and fold it a few times and then cut the foil with the scissors. That will sharpen he scissors. Pittsburgh, PA
I love your tutorial. I bought the boot d rings, but they fell off. I tried to used a Cam hand press, but it dented the top and bottom badly. What type of press do you use and where can I buy one?
Sewgnar where did you buy your Teflon foot for your Juki 2010? I have this machine and have tape on the bottom of my foot, yes it works, ok, but want a Teflon foot. Thanks for your help.
I’m watching as I type, but want to ask a quick non bag question- you ring looks very familiar. From what I could see, it looks like my grandmother’s wedding ring. Is it an heirloom? Now, back to watching…
Ohhh. She's a beauty. I'm sure she appreciated it more than the picture shows. On another note, I need to know what faux meat you're eating. The ones I tried taste like poor decisions and disappointment. Sigh...
It took me a minute but I love the hickory smoked Tofurky, and Quorn faux meat is my all time favorite. I started with the nuggets and now I love all of their products, I put the chicken chunks in everything, their grounds are great, the burgers are drool worthy...
@@SewGnar I've been on an impossible kick. I finally tried their sausage and I have to fight the meat eater in the house. Their faux meat makes great bulgogi. My mom and daughter jacked that recipe. I'll have to try Quorn. I've seen it but I haven't tried it. Once I find something I like, I tend to stick with it.
@@Jaded6911 I had the impossible sausage not too long ago and I loved it. I wanna make an egg casserole with it and try that out. I LOVE impossible brats, not the Italian flavor but the standard/regular. I'd love to try your bulgogi recipe!! Give Quorn a try, start with the nuggets! I've had carnivores try them and they truly can't believe they're vegetarian. Ugh, drooling right now thinking about it!
Loved seeing the love your showed your Nana.
🥰🥰
Such a sweet Nanna. So many memories for you. What a lovely video.
She's softening in her old age!!
Sew sweet! What a precious memory and I love the sunflowers
Thank you!

I don’t know where we would be without our moms and grandparents!! They’re so special!
I miss my grandmother's! Every Day! Lost 1 in Middle school, the other at 15yo. Thank you for sharing Your's
Sorry to hear that, and mine can be everyone’s grandma!
So sweet. I learned so much from my Grandma’s. Your so lucky to still have yours. Beautiful bag❤
Brandon’s grandmother is 100! She’s slowing down though. My nana is a young 80 something so she’s still got some time left, thankfully.
Love those sunflowers! If you trim the triangle and butterfly that seam in the strap it will eliminate all the bulk.
I did before I folded it into thirds and it helped!

Aww thank you so much!
Precious Nana!!!!!!!

That she is!
Love the bag, love your grandmom!

Thanks Nikki! The Backpack Bash starts next week!

Sweet❤😂 I can feel the LOVE
She's my fave!
Your Nana is priceless ♥️♥️♥️
Aww thank you!
I love your videos & how you get right to it!
Thank you so much!
That quilting strap method can be Butterflied, topstiched on both sides and trim seam allowance. 💙 I Got You Girl!
That’s how I normally do it but I’ve been trying out this method for more durability!

Ohhh thank you!
The bias strap takes away bulk.
Great video. Love the bag. Those d rings with rivets are the bomb!
They're my new favorite!!
This is so sweet
Thank you 😊
Awesome - Family is so important Thanks for the fun video :)
Family is the most important thing to me!
So great to learn from you this machine can handle tex 70 thread.
Just don’t use your thread cutter!
I love this video. Can you tell us where you found those d-ring connectors? They are adorable!
Thanks! I googled "d-ring rivets" and found them!
You are so lucky ❤. I want those templates now 😂
I am a lucky duck!
Question: we always talk about top thread & weights, but it just dawned on me I don't know what I should be using for BOBBIN for my Bernina domestic?
Hi Nancy, I always match my threads so there isn't a tension war!
@@SewGnar 😉💯
I'm thinking the sirona style strap connectors would be cute here
Ohhhh totally!
I do not have Mod Podge - do you think Fray Check would do the same for the zipper box ?
I’m sure that’ll be fine!
I love your tutorial. I bought the boot d rings, but they fell off. I tried to used a Cam hand press, but it dented the top and bottom badly. What type of press do you use and where can I buy one?
I use my press from gold star with my rivet die set to clamp the rivets together.
What do you put on your sandwich? That’s what my husband misses the most about veggie diet the most - lol
I love the hickory smoked Tofurky slices! I get them in the veggie section at the store, usually near dressings and lettuces and such.
Sweet of your Nana and love that sunflower bag it cute also Do you have yellow rose cork ?
I don’t sell cork!
@@SewGnar ohh ok thank you

I just googled it and found one, it’s been so long since I bought it I have no idea where it’s from, I’m sorry!
Hi & love to nana.

Now, back to watching…
It's not! I told Brandon I wanted an antique looking, art nouveau style ring and he delivered!
