and this is exactly how i found out my loop tier tool that i have never used in 4 years, does not have "smooth" edges and actually damages my line. :O/ Really good video though on how to use these, but im going to stick with my simple loop over loop knot.
Hi, I am glad you liked the video, I had never used one beforehand and wanted to learn more about their use, it's a handy bit of kit if you want to keep your rigs the same size. I am only just starting out making my own rigs up so it's been handy for me as a beginner. kind regards Tony
Hi bill Once you have been fishing for sometime and you know how to do it all by eye then yes these then become useless to most. For people starting out I think there really good to get you used to tiring the right hook lengths every time. I for one could never get the right each time but after using this for a couple of weeks I can now tire them almost perfect each time with out them. Kind regards Tony

The loops are only about 1/8 inch diameter(3mm) tool is pretty useless. also you waste about 6 inchs of line for each knot. Pretty useless.
Anyone that needs this probably shouldn’t be fishing…I mean no disrespect.
Don’t bother, yet another useless piece of plastic in the tackle shops.
