That's just brilliant - always struggled with old skool disgorgers so have just bought a Guru and was looking for some sort of demo online - and here it is! Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Got one of the Guru 'Slamo' type after watching this video and used it today for the first time. I always struggled with the other types shown but this worked well. I agree, it is much easier. Thanks!
Cheers mate. I haven't been fishing long but have caught some decent perch and Bream but having real trouble with deep swallowed hooks in perch especially. This info has been really helpful. I hate keeping fish out of water too long and I have lost one or two small ones cos of deep hooks. Thanks mate, well done.
Yeah me too just started up after 35 yrs inactive but sea hooks are easier being 4/0 and 6/0 rather than the size 16 match hook.... damn even need glasses to see. Bought a guru as I struggled with the basic one but keeping the line tight is key but deep hooks are tricky.
Hi AI These disgorgers are made by guru I have just looked on eBay.com which is in dollars and found them for $3.47 plus $0.97 shipping from uk Hope this helps Brad

@@sitbone3 It's valid advice if you live in the 50's and use iron hooks that will rust away within 2-3 days, but nowadays the stainless steel won't rust out and the fish will eventually starve to death or the hook might make its way deeper over time and kill the fish eventually.
Brilliant vid mate. The clearest explanation and example I've seen and that includes the big brands vids!! I'm now a new subscriber 👍

Thank you for taking the pain on my behalf. I now know what a 'slamo' style disgorger is and, more importantly, how to actually use it!

Hi
Thanks for the comment I will take a look
Good video! It’s an easy thing to get wrong for beginners. No wonder you’ve got plasters all over your hands with all that practice 😂
😂
Thanks for the great comment @MrTim207 that is exactly why I do these videos
I hope that I can help people to enjoy the sport

Extremely helpful thanks a lot. I just don't understand why can't the manufacturers leave some instructions about this. Thank you again!
Yes, the Guru is the way to go.
Hello Brad, Where can I purchase the long black colored disgorger with the yellow handle? I'm in the USA. Thanks Al

Nicely explained, I've been practicing, but using the cork on a plummet is much kinder,( I'm a bit of a pussy).😰
I like the Video, but it's not entirely complete! The Guru, whit's i use the most is not sutable for very smal hooks.
You do know it is just better to cut the line and let the fish go. But maybe not.
No that will eventually kill the fish.
