A pair of Artery Forceps (I prefer the curved ones) are also handy for larger hooks. Just be careful not to clamp onto & nip the whipping line on the hook shank.

Yes a good point. I have some of those although I don't use them that often especially when it's cold. The holes where you put your fingers through always to be too small on forceps.
