Hey Matt! Notice you mentioned firing up the motor while connected to the flush port. Do you also need to use muffs to fire it up, or is only the flushing port ok?
I’m a fanatic making sure the Lu fluid is topped off. I like the convenient idea of filling while tilted to avoid bad back hunching over. Owners manual always says motor tilted down and level when filling. Is the final fill quantity topped off same/less/more when filled up at the tilted position?
I have yet to see someone do the lower end oil this way also. Your actually putting more oil in the gear case then you should which could potentially blow a seal.
The joy of having a nice garage. I am sure, like me, that you have probably done that more times in a driveway than in a nice warm and dry garage.
No doubt! I can’t even explain how thankful I am for the garage!
Thanks Matt !
Appreciate you watching!
Hello, I have a 2023 merc 200 HP , have you ever heard a tic ,tic ,tic sound after trimming down to about 85% down and releasing trim button? thanks
I don’t want to lead you down the wrong direction! I’d have it checked out by a professional

You don’t need to do both!
I didn't even know I could use that flush port instead of muffs! That's awesome 👍.
The folks at Mercury in Wisconsin tell me NOT to run engine on flush port. If I do…warranty is void.
I have never seen a lower unit oil level check with the motor up. Seems odd.
No mess!

Nice job. Thanks.
👍
Really good video. Thank you very much
Thanks for watching!
Looking to build a similar metal building. How much did that run you after electrical and the mini split
In the 40s all said an done

Why do you run the 25W-40 vs 10W-30 oil? I gotta do my first change and not sure which one or why.
25W doesn’t break down as much on long runs. There is issues with the 10W breaking down and burning oil on long extended runs
Makes sense, we don’t have big lakes out here so that wont be an issue for me. Thanks for the reply.
When you do the work yourself does it affect your warranty status?
No it does not!
I have a 150 proXS an about to do my first oil change, pretty much the same right? Nice video!
Yes sir I believe so!
My my filter did not self drain
No worries!
