- I was fortunate to be able to take the 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 out for a test ride, courtesy of Geoff(The Boss) from my local Ducati dealership, Bikers. UK RRP is £23,595(includes vat!)
00:00 Introduction.
02:16 Initial ride/chat about the V4 engine, difference between it and the Panigale/Streetfighter V4.
13:08 Specifications of the bike and a general look at the Diavel
21:05 Back on the Diavel, riding and thoughts etc.
26:28 The ride comes to an end.
Thanks to Geoff at Bikers. If you're passing, just pop in for a coffee and a chat .

Thank you for mentioning the USB plug. I have watched countless videos on this machine and not ONE mentioned this 😊
You're welcome!
Exactly. That was a welcome surprise. Now, if it only had heated grips as standard, it'd be perfect. Compete with BMW S1000R..
Also on mine, down by the usb is a prewired battery tender plug.
Wow, that really is a beautiful bike! Those after market exhausts are pretty cool. I didn’t realize that Jersey was so beautiful. What a great place to ride. Great review. Best!
I just bought one in the same color scheme. I love Ducati red......
Raise the forks about 27 mm above the triple clamps and the bike really handles like a sport bike.
I love leaning this bike; it is so nimble even though the seat position is so comfortable and not stretched out like a race bike..
Spiritual successor to the monster 1200 by the feel of it
Test drive one the other day and it felt like a V4 monster😂
Amazing
It is the engine from the V4 Multistrada, the Granturismo, not the Stradale.
Same in Australia. These are $41,000 and don’t have heated grips or tyre pressure monitors standard. Then there is the Akrapovic exhaust at $10,000! Truly an obscene price for what are pipes.
shout out to YT making motorcycle review videos. It's seriously getting old watching reviews from behind handlebars. Personally, I'd prefer to see the bike in motion as in a 3rd party view. Get someone to record you riding the bike and you can speak to whatever you want to say about it while showing the bike from all angles. Honestly, I want to see the bike as much as I'm interested in your opinions about said bike.... cheers.
Sometime that simply isn't possible, if you are a solo RUclipsr, however insta 360 cameras etc help to show different views if the bike as you ride along. Ride safe.😁
I also have the 890 Duke R. Do you find the Diavel more comfortable for long rides? The Duke kills me on rides longer than about 150KM.
only rode it on test for a few hours, seemed comfortable enough.I have have now sold my 890R as wasn’t using it . A week after it ran out of warranty and its 2 year service had just been done the KTM decided to do the well documented thing of having a leaking camshaft cover gasket ….Fortunately my KTM dealer were able to get KTM to pay for the bill.
saw the 1st gen of these coming back from Les Mans, and F# me did they fly past us when we were hammering it ourselves
😂
If the engine on this bike really wants to be at 4000 rpms plus, and it starts to fly at 5000 rpm, that’s a rather narrow usable range and it’s not really a cruiser - it seems the bike is not happy cruising, it wants to fly at very high speeds. That means this bike is probably not a keeper. People will be amazed, have some exciting fun for a bit, and then will sell this bike after about 3000 miles so as not to lose too much on resale. This bike seems better for first ride videos on RUclips than long term ownership by actual riders.
Well how come you can’t get them second hand then 😂
Hi Paul
How did you get on with the Ducati V4 ? Thinking about it for a future purchase , originally interested in a Ducati Xdiavel S but as usual no demonstrator at Bikers
Sold my MT10 a while ago , so getting itchy feet
Cheers Frank
Hi Frank , very nice bike . I wouldn’t like to make the decision . The triumph rocket gt was impressive and not as sporty as the v4 but had huge amounts of grunt compared to the v4 which would have to be wound up a bit to get to the exciting stuff !! So many good bikes out on the market …. I’ve gone sensible and have an old man’s gs , it’s so good my KTM 890r doesn’t get used . Good luck and if I can be of help just let me know . Hope your are all good 👍👍
I’m a bit confused as the Ducati v4 is £16000 on the bikers website and £23600 in the showroom , same price as the uk ?? Not sure I want to deal with Geoff
@@frankdj1966 🙈pop down and speak to Owen , he’s very good and he’ll let you know what’s coming in soon etc . There’s nothing wrong in asking him if the owner would be prepared to let you ride it either , which I have done in the past 👍
Brother your comments/eval is worth more than the bike!
Where's the four lane freeways at. 😅
Its the only one like that that we have here in Jersey !
Lovely looking machine Paul. I could do with one alongside my GS! 😂
I just need a bigger garage and bank balance !
I have.

A beast love it , but not really practical on our roads really! 😂
Great Review. How is the heat management in traffic and ground clearance
Big engine...but the heat was fine...air temperature was only 15 degrees ish though.
I just bought the Diavel 2 weeks ago. Here in Arizona, the temps are 94˚F (35˚C). The heat is a non issue for me. I can feel the warmth when sitting at a light, but as soon as I am over 15 mph, there is sufficient air flow to completely mitigate the engine heat. Not sure what you question is about ground clearance, we aren't riding off road. 31" seat height approximately. I am 5'8' with 32" blue jean inseam and I can easily flat foot the bike with both feet. The engine is amazing. I am extremely satisfied with this bike. Definitely my all time favorite.

Think he meant ground clearance leant over in a bend with your knee and elbow on the floor..
Good to know. I test rode a Monster and it was so bloody hot, even at freeway speeds. I have a Scrambler and it gets hot at long lights, but once I start moving the heat goes away. @@briangc1972
Yep, laughing Ducati owner here. You turn the bike on at the handlebars, not the centre button.
Oooops 🙈
Can you share the route mate? Lovely road and quite scenic
It’s in Jersey , UK
@@gsd32i thanks.. Ferries are too expensive lol. But worth considering a ride there I guess
@@MalayaleeChekkan if you do then look me up 👍
@@gsd32i sure mate 👍😀
Just those roads scare me. Lanes so skinny, 10 ft tall bushes on blind corners etc. Wow
Only if your going fast😂
Well, if I wanted a bike for Sunday best, that would be it.
If this is how the UK's roads are then you do not need a bike like this. This bike is better for American roads.
I think this might have been shot on Jersey, and if so they have a maximum blanket 40mph speed limit, so there's no point having any motorcycle on Jersey in truth, beyond possibly giving excessively wealthy old men something to spend their money on.
Everything I watch your videos I end up buying something else… what are those gloves? 😃
Hahahaha Rukka gloves luhta.com/global/en/p/airium-2-0-70891778r
You have truly spent probably spent the equivalent just screwing around with the ones you have. I am impressed however 3 minutes 51 seconds in your have not pulled over to add something to it :)
Rest assured if it was my bike then yes I would have pulled over and added something to it 🤪 Appreciate all comments . Have a great day and enjoy whatever it is you ride . 👍
