    I love my care lamp as well. I think you under eye wrinkles look softened and the tone of your skin looks great. My husband uses this for arthritis too and is creative about where he stacks it for knees etc. Confess weather has been too hot to want to use it the last couple of days. Always spray face and neck with cold green tea about twenty minutes before using. It has improved 70 yr old neck and overall tone. Thanks for doing your reviews. Hx

    I wasn’t really that interested with regards to anti-ageing but when you mentioned joint pain my ears pricked up. I’ve really started to notice more joint pain recently, I put it down to the peri-menopause as my mums arthritis was at it’s worst during this period. Might look into it more now, thank you for the review.

    Thank you for another extremely interesting review Karen. If I had the money I'd opt for either this or the face mask combined with the Nuface for ultimate 'anti-aging' effects. I don't like the phrase 'anti-aging', we all age, it's inevitable. The red light therapy would soften lines and boost collagen production and the Nuface would lift sagging skin, so you'd get the best of both worlds. You've been very helpful in pointing out the pros and cons of the mask and freestanding lamp. When finances allow I'll watch these videos again to help me make a decision. Thanks again x

      @@TheBeautyMaverick yes the Nuface does require commitment time wise doesn't it! But I think it's worth it. I used to have dermalifts (a professional microcurrent device) and the results were noticeable in a subtle way if that makes sense. Definitely lifted my face, so I'd be prepared to put in the time! People say they do it in the evening watching tv which sounds good x

    I just ordered a similar product here in Canada and am even more excited to try it now. I'm looking at research that shows red light therapy to potentially be beneficial for glaucoma, which I'm at high risk of developing. I'll ask the eye specialist I will be seeing next week. Also, another research related to skin improvement shows that the application of green tea to the skin (cotton pads soaked with green tea) for 20 minutes prior to using these devices speeds the results by 10 times: what normally took 10 months to achieve without green tea took 1 month with it! Thanks for all your great work, I appreciate it and you :)

    I haven't gone the gadget route yet, but this is definitely tempting.
    About irritating actives- I have had great luck with two gentler options from Avéne. PhysioLift Night Balm has retinaldehyde, the direct precursor of retinoic acid. I have used various versions of their retinaldehyde products for about 15 years, and maybe it's genetic (it certainly isn"t healthy living!) but I don't look 49.
    The other is more recent - A-Oxitive serum, with just 1.8% ascorbyl glucoside, but it has proven to be equivalent to 15% L-AA when it comes to UV damage protection.
    It also has a more powerful version of vitamin E, and something called GP4G, which I need to learn more about, but it sounds really scientific!
    AndI always said that impatience is a virtue.

Also the ascorbyl glucoside its hard to get hold of good products with it. What are your go to products please. If you have sensitive skin how has it been affected? And do you see quicker results with these Ingredients. Wld be so chafed if you repl. Also have you managed to get a good mineral sunblock? Thanks. 😊

Neck pain , lower back pain and now pain in my feet that orthotics have not corrected is my next target area .Don't know how l would use this , put it on the floor perhaps and sit on a step - stool l have .EDS is all about finding ways to manage our condition .I'd like to trial this then write an article for the quarterly EDS magazine , if it can help sufferers. I'm not sure which one to get lol. I don't really like sitting around, so like the portability of the other one. However, I have a dodgy hip so this one may be better. On the other hand, it's hotter & I don't think I would like that on my face (+ I have mild rosacea, so heat is not good generally). My main reason for getting one is anti-aging but it would be great (for the amount you pay) if it also helped with my hip. Dilemma 🤣🤣. Emma x

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick  4 года назад +2

      That IS a dilemma, wish I could help you lol. The only thing I can perhaps contribute is that the allergy on my chest which was dermatitis, normally reacts badly to heat. It didn't at all. Actually I might try hubby on it for his really bad eczema which is also exacerbated by heat. Its worth having a read of these case studies of people with Rosacea I'd say, as Red light is thought to be helpful! www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6988247/

    They sold out of that one quickly! I went to check to see if it is available in the US and it is sold out. I am more interested in this one than the mask. Are there any adverse effects of using it in areas that don’t particularly need it? To clarify, if I were using it on my knee, the area above or below it may get the light as well. I know they won’t use it on my dog (she goes to physical therapy because she is an older tripod with arthritis in her hip) because she previously had cancer (that is why she is a tripod) so she is not a candidate to ever use it per her pt doc and her regular vet.

    • @TheBeautyMaverick

    Ms Maverick try taking MSM glycosaminoglycans sulfate and chondroitin possibly too and cod liver oil for joint pain. I have back problems since birth, and now a bad knee and one bad shoulder, the pain is really serious, sometimes I just could not move! In desperation I tried those supplements and after two months the improvement was really worth every penny! It has not completely disappeared but it really greatly decreased the pain! MSM has anti inflammatory effects and a website said that reduces the incidence of colon cancer due to the anti inflammatory efects and glycosaminoglycans holds water reducing friction. Arthritis though can have many causes so check with your doctor. My doctor assured me that those supplements would not work, but I brought them in utter desperation and I am so happy I did😊!

      @@TheBeautyMaverick I am sorry to hear that you have a condition! I know what it means to have health problems I have a congenital defect in my spine that causes terrible pain and painkillers are not the solution because they cause a cascade of problems. I also had an infection when I was 6 Mo the old, the immunitary sistema was not fully developed, they have me massive doses of antibiotics but it became chronic and it would re infect once or twice a year causing me excruciating pain through my childhood. Plus I have other health problems including knee problems. This is just to say I feel for you, you are not alone! I found that using the old sketchers shape ups shoes with with the high round sole really helped ease the back and knee pain but they stopped them as apparently the MBT'S shoes had a patent on it. I think it was the wrong decision there are a lot of people with serious health problems (a friend of mine had encefalitis -tertible brain infection is a miracle, litterally, that she is alive- she has now impaired balance and posture because of the damage she suffered and can only walk with the shape ups type of shoe) that need those shoes and their production should have been open to other brands and to competition. It wasn t even MBT'S own idea to come up with that kind of sole, but of somebody penniless that could not develop it. While it is good that they did develop it, it is terrible that competitors were excluded from its production! They are very expensive and sick people should not be penalised for being sick. If sketchers sold them for £130( not cheap) why is MBT more expensive? To make things worse somebody told me that they break easily and I pray to God that it is not true because sooner or later I will need to buy them!
