- Air Drying curly hair can be a long process, which only isn’t convenient for you but it can actually be damaging to your hair. So in this video, my seester and I give you some tips on how to air dry curly hair faster and without frizz on both long & thick curly hair and shorter & finer curly hair to achieve weightless, bouncy, big volume and frizz-free curls all while timing the process and sharing the differences on our two different hair types.

Christina Lopez Im not pro at hair but I know from personal experience that if you have wet hair and put it in a bonnet your hair gets stinky and no one want stinky hair
This whole process scares me. If my hair isn’t almost soaked, it’s already frizzing the moment I touch it 😂
Even when soaked mine is frizzy
I’m sorry but I think it’s because it’s damaged from what I know. Same thing used to happen to my hair, I don’t know what type of curls you have, but major care should help it!
Mine too! I’ve tried diffusing and it doesn’t work for me. Air drying is the only way for me unfortunately

I’d love to see the seesters do a make up routine. I know you’re the hair gurus, but your make up is also awesome! Perhaps, an easy natural make up look. I love your eye looks, especially the mascara (super on point, length and separation), tell us your fave lip products and gloss colors and easy natural eye make up routines. Just my humble opinion.

Milly Azcona Oh got it. I knew and have watched the videos of the problems with Deva Curl, that some of the girls was having with it. Just did not know what ‘cancelled’ meant. Cancelled as in it has been deleted from the list of recommended products. Lol
It’s expensive but an excellent brand. I own many products. The new gel is my favorite
So grateful for each of you sharing your experiences! Super helpful to see how much hair type affects things, rather than one person saying, "air drying should take 2 hours!". I have hair more like Amanda's so sometimes it can take 5 hours to dry... ain't nobody got time for that.

I get the best results when I air dry until it’s crunchy 30 min to 1 hour. Then I diffuse. It usually takes 10 minutes. Best of both worlds!

I have been watching your routines and can honestly say that you helped me to understand products and which way to apply to her hair, it looks the best it has in a long time after 6 hours at school, honestly!

Dear Mell, I can't tell you how much your videos have inspired me to love my curly hair, take better care of it and put the curling iron down.💁💛 I'm still on my journey, but your videos have made the most sense and given me the best guidance and explanations. That being said, please do a video explaining different types of curly hair (the 2s vs the 3s vs the 4s) and maybe some general hair care tips for each type. 🙏
I so agree with this video! I noticed a lot of breakage in my hair after starting the curly girl method and air drying all the time. I already had some damage, but my hair is way healthier after I started diffusing!
I really like this routine. Enjoyed all the tips and, yes weather must be perfect for air drying. Like the oil to seal the hair at the end. Curlsmith is fantastic. Own many of their products
I followed your instructions for a long curly haircut, and you saved my hair! It was easy to follow but specific enoguh for it to be understandable. I know it would be best to visit a professional but my city does not really have anyone that knows how to handle curls.

I'm going to try taking out a few rows to see if it helps my fine wavy/curly hair clump better. Plus I need to practice the technique. Wash day can't come fast enough.
I'm re-binging all of yalls videos! I LOOOOOOVE the curlsmith curl cream, it was the first Curlsmith product I tried and loved it! It blew my mind how wonderful it worked even on its own. Never before would I ever trust a cream on its own with my crazy head of curls. Now I'm addicted to this brand! I don't use a lot of products with protein but thinking I need to try them anyway! Soooooo i dry my hair in my car on the way to work in the morning... I have the best vents and the heat and air is so gentle and I always get the best results. I do move my head and shift my hair, I probably looks crazy but it works.
I use my vents in my car too 😂 it dries my hair so fast and turns out perfect
I crack the windows and open the sun roof to quick dry my hair 🤣

I am not a fan of diffusing so I love air drying! Great tips on waiting to put gel on after the leave in/curl cream! Will be doing that! Too bad my hair is already dry after washing today, will try next time!

I love air dry creams! Been using air dry cream for 2yrs and love it. Acts like a anti frizz primer too.

Thank you for explaining the damage that can occur with air drying. I've been doing it but I swear my hair was healthier (not curlier) when I dried it. But I'm learning to fix what products/ techniques I use..and i think I'm going to start diffusing instead of air drying
You girls are adorable and funny too. Great videos and thank you. I have the kinkiest hair, frizziest hair and do Keratin Treatments to bring it on the down low, but I could never get it to be as curly as not as hard. I have tried multiple products, but it's always hard as a rock.
Both the section about brushing against the hair part to give better lift and the section about the “dance” to give the roots better ventilation is exactly what I needed for the mess that is my 3a hair.

Very informative. I’m a diffuser kinda girl. Usually airdry for 15-30 minutes, then diffuse the rest of the way. I haven’t tried curl smith yet, so that may be my next purchase. But in this Chicago spring, I really love the Aveda Be curly enhancer followed by Dippity go girls with curls gel, or my fave routine is Eva NYC mane magic products. First, prep spray, curl cream, then I either use Briogeo rice amino gel or the Eva foam. Thanks for all the tips. Semester videos are the best!
