I would have compared a base Lexus ES and compared it to a loaded Camry which would put equipment & price more comparable. Nobody goes from a base Accord to a Lexus. Because the base Lexus inherently comes more loaded than any base Accord, you're comparing apples and oranges.

    • @PerformanceLexusNiagara
      @PerformanceLexusNiagara  11 месяцев назад +9

Thanks for the feedback! It's been a little tougher to get certain models of Toyota's to compare so we only had access to this package Camry at the time! However I'm hoping in the future that we can compare a more comparable package!

    • @richscott2483

You are correct, Honda's upper tier is Acura and Toyota's is Lexus. Most would compare the Accord to the Camry as they are on the same platform. Here he is comparing 2 vehicles from the same company in regards to sedans. Signifying that a fully loaded top trim Camry could be in likeness just as good as a Lexus ES ??? base level trim or a bit better. The cost difference and vehicle materials often separate the common vehicle from the more luxurious or sporty vehicle tier. Therefore, the common Honda Accord nor the Toyota Camry is no match to a Lexus ES ??? sedan. We could compare the Lexus ES ??? to the Acura Integra.

I changed from a 2020 Toyota Camry Executive, which is a very good car and I was very satisfied with it. The Lexus is literally better in every way, a true Premium luxury sedan. The engine, gearbox, controls, hi-fi, materials, sound dampening, chassis, real Premium feeling of a much bigger car. I can say that I have never been so satisfied with a car and it does not even occur to me to exchange it for another one, both 300h models are equipped with the Lexus ES Prestige plus, I will exchange them for Luxury in 1-2 years. Now I understand why more than 90% of Lexus buyers will never buy another car again ☺️

Greetings mechanical engineer and engineering project manager from a big three firm here is my take . #1 you should have done a comparison between a BASE Lexus ES 350 and a CamryXLE. overall though good comparison
I am 40 and this is my 4th Camry and next car will be an ES 340.
First of all slight differences- the Camry has slightly more head room but the Lexus has the advantage in front and rear leg space.
Both are smillar improve the Camry CLE is $35000 the base Lexus ES 350 is $38,000. The base LE is $25000 but it’s bare of the bars
I say since it sits only $3000 more might as well get the base ES 350 OR you could have option B.
F Sport is a bit more about $7000 but if you get it just 2 years used; you can get 30 percent off that MSRP. I have seen 2-3 year old F sports go for 42000,45000 and base go 3800
Nobody will mistake the F sport for a Maserati or a Porsche but it does make it fun to drive.
I highly recommend the F sport so it is not your grandmother Lexus
I say stick with the Lexus ES because the engine has a better performance it’s the time tested V6
If you want to get a V6 on a Toyota Camry you’re going to be paying the price of Alexis and ES anyways so you might as well just get the Lexus
You could also up for the hybrid version but I wouldn’t recommend this because although you get 44 to 45 miles per gallon, it goes 0 to 60 seconds in 8.1 seconds at least the ES 350 even the non-F sport one goes 0 to 60 and 6.5 seconds
Honestly even the base ES 350 without the F sport is fine the sport gives it some suspensions and performance and handling you get that sporty fun vibe.
How do I know this because my friend is owner and manages Alexis dealership in Las Vegas he lets me test drive new Lexus and Toyota vehicles for100 days and write a 10 page report
Like I drive the GX 500 overtrail + 20204 that is not yet out in the market

If Lexus comes up with a Hybrid AWD F Sport Performance and Handling, I don't care if it is $50,000 I will buy it. Both are great cars but I prefer the lexus. If you look at the base le and compare it to the base Lexus the price difference is noticeable about $12,000. However, there is not much of a price difference between the luxury XLE 35,000 and the base Lexus ES at 39,000. I will drive this car for many miles and for 8 years so I need something reliable yet luxurious.

Performance Lexus. And you're reviewing the Lexus ES. Well, there is nothing "performance" about the ES model. I owned a 2013 ES 300h. I bought it brand new. It was the most boring vehicle I have ever owned. The brakes were useless. I was terrified that it would stop before hitting somebody. The calipers were too small for a vehicle of that weight. The factory claimed you would get 44 MPGs. Not even close. The best I could do was around 35 MPGs. And that was on a good day, with a lot of traffic. Lexus make some great cars, but this isn't one of them. Buy a Camry. But then again, it's overpriced as well.

ES 350 Infotainment system placement is a mess and hard to reach. You are 6'1" with long arms. The interior is not very appealing as the 2023 Camry is in its 6th iteration as an 8th Generation even though outdated still better than the ES 350's interior. My brother is 6'4" does has a difficult time entering the 2023 Camry because its ground clearance is 5.7 inches. If you are taller than 6 feet the Camry maybe not be right for you. Okay! my final verdict is the 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded is the best choice. The 2023 ES 350 interior is a complete failure. To obtain wireless Carplay and Android Auto for the Camry buy the Ottocast U2-X Pro dongle for $99.

Thanks for watching!! That is some great feedback! I don't think I've had too many guests that are 6,4 try out the ES yet, so I will for sure keep that in mind when showing vehicles etc.

@@PerformanceLexusNiagara Thank you! Right or wrong, everyone has their opinion, and sometimes easier to say nothing at all or give a compliment. I have never been in a Lexus vehicle but I suppose when the opportunity arrives I will. I realize that RUclips offers many advantages and also can be discouraging due to competition for viewership. Maybe you will get some deserved help from a willing sponsor to allow you to develop further. "Both Toyota Engines". and how is that a bad thing? Lexus is Toyota. Should they Put in A garbage unreliable BMW or Mercedes engine or stick with the reliable 2GR-FKS ? I hear this stupid comment all the time from people who don't own either car. There is a night and day difference between both. sorry to tell you. Its not just the engine.

Both are the most basic, middle class, middle aged, sex deprived, i only care about getting from A to B sedan than any other vehicle on the road.

No folding rear seats for an executive car ? My goodness!
His head was clearly touching the ceiling on the back seats of the es lexus.
Very poor compare to the german rivals.

That's the beauty of it ain't it? And the Camry is not an ES its based of the Avalon. That was a decade ago but people still stuck in that era
