Had 2. Both 07, white diamond tricoat. @nd was a luxury II with sunroof, column shift and NON Navigation. Never had any issues besides relacing the OG alternator.
Those are massaging front seats. That's what the big square button is on the side of the front seats are for. Also, there is a hidden power outlet under the drivers seat. I owned mine for a long time before I noticed it. There is also a power outlet in the storage bin between the front seats. Lastly, that is real wood trim, not fake.
I'm 16. I just bought a 62k mile Luxury ii. HOLY SHIT THE VALUE FOR MONEY IS THROUGH THE ROOF. its a 2006 so it is safe and won't blow a headgasket too.
Me to lol that's how I ended up here I wanted to see what the world was doing with these hidden gems that Northstar motor really gets people to run away from these and I love it
I bought a 2006 DTS with less than 9k miles with full Cadillac warranty that came off lease at the end of 2007 when GM was closing dealerships. Perfect condition Black Raven Lux 2. I still own it and I think of it as a couple of barcoloungers on wheels. Better riding car than any Mercedes, Lincoln, or other vehicle I've purchased. Since I have other vehicles it only has a bit over 60k miles on it. No problems, but it is about time to get the suspension tightened back up with new rubber components and shocks and I have no qualms about putting money into it.
GM has made some stupid automotive mistakes, the Cadillac DTS is not one of them. GM’s suspension systems are among the best in the world and if you want comfort and a smooth ride in your suspension the Cadillac is the best of the best…
Damn if this ain't my cars twin; except mine is a 08' & has Shale color interior. My second DTS & I owned this one since Dec. 2017. Changed water pump & Alternator (that's it)
On the headlights kit, your caddy's lights are IN THE RANGE where they will come out immaculate, I know what your saying about so-so results but those are on WORSE condition headlights, I bought ebay kit for $10 / free ship and used on my brother's Odyssey lights which were 1 level worse then your caddy's and they came out SPECTACULAR.... trick is to constantly spray water mist on lights every 20 seconds of buffing with cordless drill (so you don't "burn" the plastic light housing. Do NOT put on finishing clear coat....that stuff ALWAYS leaves marks, will mess up great buff job. Put two or more layers of masking tape around lights to protect neighboring paint....then tape poster board a few feet around and throw a couple tarps on hood / grille / fenders to keep polish splatter off.
So many of these cars are ruined because people are too lazy to undercoat their cars and install a pair of mudflaps. The chassis area at the rear wheel well toward the front rots out. All these cars will benefit from mudflaps and undercoating. Nice to see this car has them. There are a lot of seams under this car, oil will help save them. Krown works in things like doors etc. but oiling the frame and chassis will extend its life. Krown and Fluid Film etc. all wash off in water moving areas, where oil will stay. People will argue the facts, but you can't beat experience.
I was scrolling back through comments and your caught my eye. I have looked at 3-4 more of these cars since I had the one in the video and every one has been rotted out right where you said. I should have held onto the nice one I had!
From 1983 through 2002 we owned 8 different sedan devils, the last 3 were of the DTS trims. DTS stood for Deville Turning Sedan and they were the top of the line trim level. Then Cadillac decided to call all Devilles DTS. That was our last DeVille. Why buy the top of the line when they all now look the same weather you payed 40k or 60k . You see the DTS trims came with less chrome, most everything color matched from grill to door handles with a console mounted shifter and roughly 30 more horsepower than a typical DeVille. We then went with a V8 SRX, later we added a Cadillac XLR V. I'd say the XLR was probably the last Cadillac made that I've actually wanted to own. BTW, the trunk button is in the glovebox.
Don't listen to everything you hear. Yes it's the N*, & I have owned two of them. Both cars for over 5 years... no real problems 2003 DHS 2008 DTS Luxury lll
Only reason I don't own one. The Northstar plus the oil leaks apparently scares me. I would love to own one but unless you can fix it yourself ...nah....@@mikewhite8170

My Wife and I purchased a 2006 Cadillac DTS in November of 2022; it's a fine car, and we love it (We plan on keeping it for the rest of our lives).

Paint chips on hood are probably from an ice/snow scraper, you have to be really careful clearing the cowl/wiper panel as the hood slightly overhangs.

Considering getting one. How do they handle the winter?
Great, heavy FWD

Have you sold it yet?
I actually sold it yesterday.
Is the overheating on northstar engine on this Cadillac been fixed? Anyone knows?
I've has 3 different ones at different times and never had an issue. All around 70-95k. They have all been great cars.
Yes, the Northstar head gasket issue was finally fixed by the time this model came out.
Does the DTS have a Northstar engine, I'm trying to stay away from these engines since they had so many issues. Thanks for the video.
Yes but after the 2005 model they improved the head gasket

What state is that? Looks like Maine.
Use a regular lens please.
🤣my exact thought! I went to comments for that reason 👍
Where is Clarksburg at ?
Right at the intersection of US Hwy 50 and interstate 79. South of Morgantown.
@@GarKeith oh OK,I thought you was in Sacramento at first lol
These actually have 11 hidden bonus-turbos very unique

I have a Cadillac, it’s great car if you can work on them ! Thanks for sharing!
I got a 2007 DTS and it stops at the light, you have to put in park and it will start .Anybody have an idea why it does that?
BENCH SEATS WITH OEM NAVI WITH WOOD STEERING RARE OPTIONS FAR AS I KNOW.
Ps better shot of engine bay! 😮
[M] is your massaging seat playa. Seat lumbar will go in & out for 10 minutes.
Watch out for Smokey Bear.😢🚔
wait until it starts to leak oil. mama mia!
I play with them then sell them down the road...It was a good time for me.
