I'm not sure if Expanded rules are different or not but in vanilla Stardew, the pigs do NOT have to be on farmable/sprinkler-friendly soil to dig up truffles. They can dig up truffles on any land as long as there aren't rocks, fencing, or other debris in the tile they're going to dig up. My pigs dig up truffles on the grassy areas all the time, and on my beach farm I keep them in the sand and they dig up tons of truffles there too, and I play on Switch so I don't use any mods to make them do that
Please talk to Robin and you can move your shipping container closer to your porch so you can drop it off on way to bed. Just select move buildings. It doesn't cost anything either 😁
I started playing the expanded mod because of Gab's streams, and I'm very happy with it. Expanded + the Community Center Reimagined mod is fantastic! I definitely recommend that one as well, 'cause it really bothered me that nobody seemed to use the center after it got completed, so finding a mod that hosts events there and has people using it day to day was really nice. And as for potentially streaming on youtube, I would LOVE that! I always forget to check twitch for anything, but youtube is my default tab on my web browser, so it's way easier to see when streams are happening. It also seems like a much fairer deal.
i would be so thrilled if gab streamed on youtube- not just for my convenience, but so gab could keep a fairer income for all the amazing content she gives!
Ah, all caught up on the series. This mod seems really cool. The added characters and larger map are really nice. I'd forgotten about Twitch's planned tomfoolery. Hope things go alright with all that
I'm with you on the covid restrictions, Gab; seems like me and my partner are the only people in the city who still mask up on transport and in stores around here, even though infection rates are rising again ;-; As someone with a compromised immune system though, I can't afford not to. Stardew and Ooblets music stick in my head so much that I literally hear it in my dreams sometimes after playing xD
I still mask up and such. Even before COVID was a thing, I always wanted to mask up wherever (and did when I was actually sick or visiting Japan). I'm always surrounded by people who cough or sneeze open mouth anywhere I happen to be. It's so damn gross. Snide comments do happen from time to time, but no matter how angry that might make me, the factual reality is that these are mentally handicapped losers doing it since they're actually going that extra step beyond just thinking their stupid thoughts.
I'm with you on maintaining all the restrictions to stay healthy. I work in healthcare and did A LOT of covid testing in 2020 and 2021. I still wear masks about 90% of the time when I leave my apartment and still haven't gotten it.
@@foomp that's so insulting to people who are actually mentally handicapped. (I'm with you, people who don't care and sneeze their germs everywhere are gross and dumb.)
For the potluck question; I always make sure to save at least ONE gold cauliflower for my first year's luau! Those makes the soup PERFECT, and you can grow them all spring!
I was rewatching your original playthrough while i waited for you to release another ep lmao as soon as i saw it i paused the other one came straight here. Hope you had a fab trip!
For the Luou, some items give funny animations. Hot peppers will always be too hot for the governor and he won't like the soup. Pufferfish is poisonous and will make him sick. And no matter how good a quality garlic is, it gets the prompt that "something's missing." Garlic is the best and should make the best soup and so I just might add a pufferfish or hot pepper each year as revenge.
I had Covid at the beginning of the year, and it was so freaking awful. But once Summer came around I stopped being as careful cause numbers went down...Then I got it a second time in October- equally bad. I started wearing my mask and using hand sanitizer and everything again...The ONE time I went out with friends in November and didn't mask up, I got Influenza A. ALSO HORRIBLE. So, yeah, I'm barely going in public and when I have to I'm masked and distancing.
I don't comment much on videos so idk if you check comments ever, but I check everyday to see if a new Stardew is uploaded. Good stuff. Keep them coming! Thanks for the videos!
Not sure if it will be useful to you Gab but a mod me and my other half use is “better shipping bin” it allows you to see everything you put in for shipping incase you need to grab something back that you realised to late you needed.
Yay! More Stardew :D The Loved Gift graphic at 22:40 is from Wickedy (aka Wickedy Chickady). She's the one who first made a video on the befriending Caroline/tea sapling/easy money strat. I've re-watched the "tips & tricks" videos on her channel quite a few times whenever I come back to Stardew after a long hiatus. Just so that I can remember all the stuff that I *used to know* but forgot. She also has a VERY extensive map that shows all of the NPC pathing in vanilla Stardew, which is awesome for putting gift chests in town or kegs or decorating etc. Don't forget to hold on to a Dwarf Scroll III. The lava eels have a chance to request either those or Basalt (or diamonds) in the fish ponds. Sturgeon sometimes request Nautilus Shells so those are good to have on hand also. The Help Wanted quests on the board outside of Pierre's are easy to forget, but totally worthwhile. The item delivery ones are worth it for the money because you get 3 times the item's normal value. You also get 150 Friendship points with the requesting villager. If you have the UI Info Suite mod, you can check the bulletin board from your inventory and pick up quests from it without having to run into town. It cuts down on a lot of running around. Sorry for the infodumping, I get very excited when videos come up for my favorite games XD
I wrote and re-wrote a paragraph about my time with covid, but let's just say it's a 0/10 experience, would not recommend! It's hellish while you have it, and the damage it causes affects you long after you're no longer sick. I'm glad to hear you're being careful. I'll continue to be too :) The things that got me through it was an excessive amount of Theraflu, and an abundance of Netflix and RUclipsrs like you 💖
Ah, Stardew! I absolutely love this game and it's all because of your streams. My playthrough had been on hold for the past few months and only last night I decided to play some, I guess I needed some encouragement from your videos (and also a break from uni)! Thank you for coming back to Stardew ❤️
I swear you give good luck for this game or something cause I started playing stardew expanded after watching you play and.. i got a dino egg on day 6 year 1, a level 20 sword just before summer, and a fairy instantly grew my ancient plant!! i like to play while watching your videos because they feel so cozy :)
I had covid and it was AWFUL, back in February. It just made me be even MORE careful. I did eventually end up catching it again, but thankfully the second time wasn't NEARLY as bad and was just a runny nose and a bit of a fever. Definitely keep being careful. It's different for everyone, and you never know if you'll be one of the few it hits really hard.
Sad to hear what’s happening with Twitch. It sucks they are doing that to the content creators. I’m more of a RUclips addict, so I’m happy you’re looking into streaming here. ❤
@@connor7036 Twitch is changing the subscription revenue split for creators from 70/30 to 50/50 (so streamers that were getting 70% of sub money will only be getting 50%). you should get some recolour mod to tone down the game a bit maybe this time!! i love the earthy recolor mod, its gorgeous!! and Winter grass would be great too.
I get to watch this while having coffee and breakfast, it's going to be a good day! I also bought Stardew on PC and have just started playing with Expanded installed, seeing you play it made me need to do the same ❤
Yay another Stardew!! Are your putting out clogs for Sinta Claus with Sean? My sister lives in the Netherlands and a few years ago bought our kid a lovely wooden advent calendar, with draws. She then bought them, for 3 years a Hot Wheels calendar. We are now on the Pokemon thing. She is so kind and generous as we only ask for presence rather than presents. 2020 went so quick for us, 2021 was really slow. This year went really fast and was very traumatic, personally starting with a breavement. I grew a lot of veggies IRL, which we were proud of. The heatwave hit us hard and my Dad got sick, just when my niece from the Netherlands took her first solo holiday with her bf, after cancelling her Spain trip. I would say it was lovely to see her on her own but my sister was tracking her and calling all the time. With giving the teens their space time, we hardly got to talk much. When my Dad when into hospital we had his cat. I love adopting, even if i'm allergic but the heatwave and travelling, really affected my asthma. Was hard meeting everyone's needs, whilst struggling myself. My sister and I are chalk and cheese in description but from the same block. Blonde/ brown, Blue/ brown, tall,/ short, academic / artist, left-central/ right.I saved her from being kicked out (negotiation so she wasn't homeless). TBH i put myself in care from the evidence. NHS and schools haven't never been great. Schools ignored the PTSD of my mum's death, my Dyslexia and my abusive step mum. Knowing what i know now, my Dad would be in jail be here we are and i am at fault if anything happens to him according to my sister "abroad". Anyway, love that mods and characters are more diverse, Can't wait for the farm plan. x
Yeeees i am so happy a new episode is on youtube :D. like every 2h i opend youtube to see if its out hahaha! I enjoy it so much !!! THANKS GAB I APPRECIATE IT A LOT!
Today I have the day off so I have been catching up on these Stardew expanded vids while playing on Switch myself and it has just been the best day 😌 Loooove the seasonal outfits! ✨ Thanks as always for a cozy time ☺️
After I heard you talk about the mobile version I bought it and I love it so much. The auto switch and auto attack are so nice but not helpful when smarmed. Even went and bought a complete Stardew Valley guide that was made this year since having a bunch of tabs while playing on PC is difficult. I always get the fiberglass rod ASAP. So helpful.
In your most recent stream, you mentioned not knowing how to change the settings for the seasonal outfit mods, so here's how if you haven't already figured it out: get into your mods folder. Usually the route is: Open your file Explorer, go into your main system hardrive, then Program Files (86x) > Steam > steamapps > common > Stardew Valley > Mods > Seasonal Cute Characters. Then open the config.json file with notepad or similar. Then change the values based on the instructions on the Seasonal outfit mod's Nexus page. Tada
Thank you ever so much for this simplified explanation 😭 I've been trying desperately to figure out how to change animal appearances with mod files forever now!
@Ace Of Kpop It can be confusing! It took me a bit of googling 😅 But yeah, with most mods with changeable settings, there'll be a config.json file to open with notepad, and hopefully the modders will have explained how to adjust those settings on their nexus page
My favorite game soundtracks are The Last Of Us 1 and 2, Stray, Minecraft, and of course Stardew Valley. I'll have to check out the other game Gab mentioned
RIP me watching this video late when I was the 1% it wrecked. 9 weeks in the hospital, 5 weeks on a ventilator. I missed Christmas and the whole month of January.
being a part of this community on your channel is something really great :D the first bear and breakfast playthrough was actually not that long ago! (4 months ago)
Watching you play modded made me want to play modded again. So with a fresh save and lots of mods I play. I actually got a Dino egg from fishing treasure. I added some extra skills to level up like social, binning, cooking and luck, so that could’ve had something to do with it, but still lol.
@@aceofkpop1243 I love the mods that add more to the game for lore purposes. So along with Expanded I also included Ridgeside Village, East Scarp, Adventure Guild Expanded to name a few. I ended up having to meet 58 villagers for the introduction ques,t big oof there. The luck skill mod I didn't even have a high level too lol. I'm unsure as to how it gains experience. I definitely spend too much time on Nexus when it comes to modding my games
@@DrDremur I relate to that comment about Nexus sooo much 🤣 Unfortunately I don't have premium so I can't download Expanded or Ridgeside...or well, maybe I could, but I have zero idea how to do mods without the Vortex mod manager 😬😅 But I agree about the lore! I love mods that add events too!
@@aceofkpop1243 you actually don't need premium to download them. I've never been asked for it. All mods are free to use, premium to my knowledge is for faster download speed and whatnot
@@DrDremur Really? Vortex has told me their free downloads are capped at a certain amount of MBs, and to upgrade to get the cap removed...Maybe I'll look into it again 🤔
watching this episode a year after it release while having covid for the third time (i really like unlucky because i take a lot of extra steps to avoid it because im at risk) really hits different
There are mods for auto tool selection as well as altering how the facing/click works. Combat Controls Redux for the latter (supports tools in options too, but I haven't tried it!)
My family all got COVID the week before Christmas so it was stressful, but we made it out okay. We are more careful now with it. But I did get to play some awesome stardew and used some of the tips I've found on your videos
The wife and I are also among the never covid infected and now I feel screw it the caution aint that much work and helps shield colds and the flu too. I am never stopping the caution because I hate being sick.
Aw I just missed this stream. I play all the time on the switch but I did one playthrough on my laptop so I could use mods and I did the seasonal outfits. Maru's summer outfit is so cute, it made me fall in love with her and I married her 😂
I was binging your old Stardew videos from a year ago, and idk if anyone told you this. But the Sythe tool uses no energy! You can use it to bust open crates and barrels in the mines without using up your energy 😁 I LOVE these streams. I need to catch one live!
I prefer watching streams on YT for the DVR. If you miss something, you can just scroll back in the stream. Twitch, in the words I would use, doesn't really care about the content of the stream, because you can't hear or know what's going on if you are watching ads, and the only way to find what you missed later is to find where that ad played and watch the part you missed, after the stream has ended. And you gotta be crazy to try and do that for every ad, so nobody does. You just totally miss sections of the content. It's also amusing that you can pause and come back like an hour later, then unpause and talk in chat as if you're watching the present time. :D

Today I have the day off so I have been catching up on these Stardew expanded vids while playing on Switch myself and it has just been the best day 😌
Loooove the seasonal outfits! ✨ Thanks as always for a cozy time ☺️
Finally back with Stardew! 😍😍 I've been waiting 😍❤️😍❤️
It's always a cozy pleasure to watch you play stardew! 🥰
So helpful.
I absolutely love your vids😊❤
I always love to bob my head to the music in stardew it’s so rhythmic 😂
Pigs can dig up truffles anywhere in vanilla stardew! I put my piggies wherever
Love these episodes xD always so much fun 😂 and the ending "oh no I fell asleep in front of my house" 🤣 love it 😂
In your most recent stream, you mentioned not knowing how to change the settings for the seasonal outfit mods, so here's how if you haven't already figured it out: get into your mods folder.
@@casserpillar6311 Thank you again, so much! I'm thrilled to be playing with cuter (imo) animals now 😍
My favorite game soundtracks are The Last Of Us 1 and 2, Stray, Minecraft, and of course Stardew Valley. I'll have to check out the other game Gab mentioned
Claireに対する行動、気持ちが可愛すぎる^ ^

Seeing this posted this morning made my day :)
Me watching you talk about avoiding COVID so far after reading your post about getting COVID 😮😮😮
RIP me watching this video late when I was the 1% it wrecked. 9 weeks in the hospital, 5 weeks on a ventilator. I missed Christmas and the whole month of January.
YAYYYY!!! Stardew’s back!!!!
being a part of this community on your channel is something really great :D the first bear and breakfast playthrough was actually not that long ago! (4 months ago)
watched the rest of the VOD then back here for continued vibes
I guess you could say making it to 59 was a cheeky fourver
Watching you play modded made me want to play modded again. So with a fresh save and lots of mods I play. I actually got a Dino egg from fishing treasure. I added some extra skills to level up like social, binning, cooking and luck, so that could’ve had something to do with it, but still lol.
I recently started playing a version with mods too and also fished up a Dino egg somehow! I didn't add any mods to do with luck though 🤔
@@DrDremur I relate to that comment about Nexus sooo much 🤣
Unfortunately I don't have premium so I can't download Expanded or Ridgeside...or well, maybe I could, but I have zero idea how to do mods without the Vortex mod manager 😬😅
But I agree about the lore!
Perfect timing, just about to start studying and this is the perfect thing to have on to relax me and get work done. Love your videos 💖
Not sure if you know but if you finish community center Claire does disappear for a bit since joja is gone but shows up later.
There are mods for auto tool selection as well as altering how the facing/click works. Combat Controls Redux for the latter (supports tools in options too, but I haven't tried it!)
Beyond happy that you’re uploading new stardew content I look forward to it every time :)
My family all got COVID the week before Christmas so it was stressful, but we made it out okay. We are more careful now with it. But I did get to play some awesome stardew and used some of the tips I've found on your videos
Ghostbusters reference nice, will have to watch again now 👍
If you're having trouble finding a ladder in the mines, you can either make a bomb with 4 iron ore and 1 coal. Or use 99 stones to make a staircase 🙂
The wife and I are also among the never covid infected and now I feel screw it the caution aint that much work and helps shield colds and the flu too. I am never stopping the caution because I hate being sick.
I will for sure support though RUclips, and I think most people here would as well. Your profits are important this is your job.
Just finished finals, thankful for the chill vibes :)
This is random but I love your vids Gabs, they got me through finals for sure! 😊😂
1:02:44 “closed on wednesdays?! fuck OFF” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
love to see you back 🥰
It's not just any high quality ingredient for the soup - I put in iridium truffle and got the bad soup dialogue.
0:00 Gab Amnesia Smolders XD
flapping your gums too much and passing out. lmao
Aaaahh, new Stardew upload is done. Thank you so much Gab. My eve is rescued and a nice fourth Sunday of Advent to you🥰🥰♥♥
I prefer watching streams on YT for the DVR.
