It’s always fun seeing newcomers get confused and freaked out while old fans are like “welcome to insanity, one thing to remember is to never think he’s gone and that there are SO MANY BOOKS.”
I like "never think he's gone". Just vague enough so that you don't know who is being referred to unless you know the general gist of the timeline, but once you do its obvious who HE is.
2:18 and survive until six am. 15:35 Funny you should mention M3GAN because the studio of M3gan BlumHouse are at the helm of a movie coming in October!
6:52, surprisingly even Fnaf world had lore to it. I really liked the concept of that game honestly. All the characters you knew from that point on in a Fight/RPG style game where you can pick your teams and grow your roster of animatronics
If you guys want to learn more about the lore of FNAF, I would 100% recommend Game Theory's ULTIMATE Timeline! It's split into a few videos but it is as comprehensive as you can get. It was a fun watch, craftfully put together with great edits and visuals, explained by someone who has been theorizing and researching FNAF for probably a decade now.
I wouldn't as the final part has been completely destroyed from the ground up by the latest books. Ms. Afton doesn't exist at all seemingly, it's the Mimic.
@@siresquawks We don't want them to watch it because it is accurate, but it would be a fun narrative to show them, whilst easily showing them just how off the rocks FNaF is. Also, and I haven't read the book, but I've heard that the Mimic might be an allegory for Glitchtrap. Isn't that possible? Though, I'm not defending that the CEO is Mrs. Afton, if anything the Storyteller is a better guess.
Fun fact that magle playing paddle-ball inspired one of the creepiest teasers for a FNAF game. People were so upset about these designs Scott retaliated. You should search up hanging Mangle FNAF World
I’m going to give y’all a little background on the games creator. FNAF was originally made by a guy called Scott Cawthon, and he is the one who made FNAF 1-7 all by himself (that’s not a joke) which is FNAF 1 to Ultimate Custom Night. It wasn’t until FNAF Help Wanted in which Scott got some others to help make games. Honesty this franchise holds a special place in my heart, like this lives in my mind rent free on VIP. It’s so amazing to see y’all finally take a look on it, but I do gotta warn ya, if you are gonna take a look at the lore you are going to go down a rabbit hole of pure insanity, and you better have the best memory in your entire life, cause if you forget one thing ya gonna be so confused. Also if you are going to take a look at the lore, just don’t question anything when watching it… it’s FNAF lore after all.
YOOOO !! I was just listening to FNAF music haha 😂 I adore FNAF, been a fan since I was 9 and I'm 16 now. So excited to see this, I love seeing new people experience this game
Ah the Silly bear games. I know a lot of people are recommending the Matpat Timeline series, but it's final part has been completely debunked by the 6th Tales from the pizzaplex book. A more grounded simple summary of events would be RyeToast's game only timeline, which I think is just simpler.
I was so excited when I saw this video! I’ve been a FNAF fan ever since it started. I haven’t played the games myself because I’m too much of a wuss but I’ve always loved watching Markiplier, Jackseticeye, and Matpat play the games and Matpat’s lore theories on this game. And the fan songs the community have made are bangers. Highly recommend to check out Matpat’s Ultimate Timeline theory videos that he just made. They go into great detail about the story. Also would like to see you react to Markiplier’s gameplays of these game. And also would love to see you guys play this too.
Can confirm. Playing the games yourself is terrifying. I watched Mark and Jack's playthroughs when they did them and recently decided to try playing the first game. It's so much more scary when you're in control and don't have a funny youtuber to distract you from the incoming jumpscares.
If your wanting a quick rundown on the lore then I recommend watching “Everything You Need to Know About FNAF” by Footofaferret it’s a little out of date but i feel likes it’s perfect for new comers without going into too much unconfirmed fanficy stuff

So for context, there's kind of two phases of the FNAF story and a couple of rules for how the world works. The main way the story differs from reality is possession. The animatronics are animated by the agony of dead children, then some (most but not all) also are possessed by a child's soul (or in one case, two souls). If the animatronic is JUST fuelled by agony, it's completely non sentient, just talking in prerecorded voicelines and acting like a mindless beast (like Funtime Freddy going "Hey Birthday Boy!" and "are you ready for a surpriiii-iiiiiiise?"), but if it ALSO has a soul in it, that soul can influence the animatronic's behaviour and talk through it - like Ballora going "I can hear someone... creeping through my room" or Circus Baby telling the player character of the only time she was ever on stage. The lore tells the story of two characters. William Afton (the antagonist) - a serial killer who's obsessions and actions cost him his wife, two of his kids and everyone around him (his business partner, his last living son, etc). He's also the creator of the whole Freddy's IP, which gives him access to places most people can't get to and the ability to withhold evidence that may have incriminated him, before dying the same way that he murdered most of his victims (so yes, he possesses the Springtrap animatronic you see in the FNAF 3 trailer). The other is his son, Michael (the protagonist) - a child who's joke gone too far cost his younger brother's life, grew up grieving the losses around him and ended up becoming a walking corpse, kept moving by remnant himself, on a mission to undo as much damage done by his dad as possible. The first phase of the story ends with Henry (William's former partner and Freddy's co-owner, whom's daughter was Afton's first victim) setting a trap for the animatronics that were left, burning everyone down to try and bring an end to everything. [This takes place across the 70s all the way to ~2023. The fact that's this year is complete coincidence, FNAF 3 was released in 2015]. Phase 2 functionally has JUST started. UCN gave a way for Afton's consciousness to survive and leave his consciousness imprinted digitally on one of the Springtrap's circuit board, so his consciousness could digitally be installed by an AR games company. The Afton Malware (commonly referred to as Glitchtrap) is now using AR to try and coerce/control people into bringing him back into the real world, with his first truly successful attempt being Vanny (the skipping bunny from the Security Breach trailers) and honestly, there's SO many different ideas being pulled in different directions that don't make a ton of sense when placed next to one another. The Ruin FreeLC for Security Breach should be coming this year and that should give a LOT more direction for the story.
At the surface level these games are simple jumpscare fodder, but starting all the way back at the first game there is a hidden undercurrent of things hinting to a much much deeper story than anything you will get out of playing the game as a generic ordeal. Hidden messages, secret mini-games, and clues dotted throughout that have really been what has made the fandom stick to the series like glue leading to endless conspiracy theories and ideas as to just what the hidden lore contained within the games. Each installment has answered some questions and prompted even more leading to a rather convoluted story as it stands now. But again, it's a lot of stuff you'd never even be clued in on unless you were looking for hidden things in the midst of already playing a stressful survival game on top of it. Markiplier is a good one to watch for gameplay, and there are endless yotubers out there with conspiracy theory videos regarding the timeline and events.
"The quality has I proved so much" referring to Security Breach is so funny. I mean, they tried their hardest and it was glitchy as ever at launch (and idk but I thought there was a Switch Port that may have come out, but idk if it's a hack or a realt thing, but it is glitchy like original port at launch). And don't get me wrong, visually and attempted scale wise it is the best by far, with my Fave character besides Foxy being introduced, Monty Gator. But polished it is not, especially not at launch.
I would also be super into you guys reacting to some of the FNAF songs and music videos! Especially Join us for a bite from sister location. All of the video is actual game play and while it's fan made it was a HUGE part of the community. The remastered is even better quality. And I'm sure there are tons of other FNAF songs people would like to see :) Just a suggestion if you guys decide you want to continue to dive into the games fandom.

Just letting you know, the only remasters of these games are ports for mobile. That's it. Everyone of these games added something new to this franchise. Also, there are 10 games, about 30 books, and a movie releasing this October.
The games are (not all in order): FNAF FNAF 2 FNAF 3 FNAF 4 FNAF World FNAF: Sister Location FNAF Pizzeria Simulator FNAF: Ultimate Custom Night FNAF VR: Help Wanted FNAF Security Breach FNAF AR
When you just play the Game, you think: Yeah, no Real Story. Just some Robots that attack you every Night. But in Reality, this one of the Biggest Storyline's i know. Some mysteries haven't even been revealed. I love FNaF
It's funny seeing you guys be so confused trying to decipher what the games are about from the Trailers alone. Also in regards to how many games there are it's 9 in total with 7 mainline games and 2 spin offs with 1 for VR. Also the most impressive part is that except for Security Breach and Help Wanted ALL the games were developed by one person alone: Scott Cawthon.
Security Breach has more trailers than the other games because 1, it was the first really big releases of a FNAF game (FNAF VR was a pretty big release too, but not as big as Security Breach) and 2, the game got delayed about 2 or 3 times and Steel Wool, the company that made the game, would release a new trailer in order to announced a delay
Moar plz (Try binging a Game Theory FNAF ay list. Even if it has to be a Patreon exclusive. Content for a LONG time, unless the patrons aren't interested)
There are a lot of FNAF games. But FNAF 1, 2, 3, 4, Sister Location, and Security Breach are the main ones. 12:57: And these are the cut scenes after you beat each night in "Sister Location"
You guys should react to the complete timeline of fnaf by game theory, it's a 3 parter I think but solidly contains most of the present knowledge about the franchise
there was no 1st game trailer as scott thought it would flop. [or maybe the compolation just doesn't have it] also if you think their is only 5 games i got bad news for you there's 15 games and like 20+ books you need to catch up on. like phone guy said you've made a very poor career choice lol.
Like a a lot of people are saying, it'd be cool so see your reaction to Game Theory's FNAF Ultimate Timeline. It's a four video timeline on the lore in the games. The Game Theory channel has a playlist with the four videos in order if you're interested.
I just wanted to list the order of games because it might be confusing to know which one is number 5. Also you didn't watch all the trailers, it missed the AR game. FNAF 1 (1) FNAF 2 (2) FNAF 3 (3) FNAF 4 (4) FNAF World (5) Pizzaria Simulator (6) The rest of them aren't specifically numbered. There are 11 games total, the ones listed above, Ultimate custom night, VR, AR, Security Breach, and Sister Location.
"I genuinely did not realise it went past 2!" Who's going to tell them about the 27 and counting books in the franchise, and the fact the missed the trailer for FNaF AR game~ XD
If you decide to react to anything else Five Nights at Freddy’s related, then I recommend Game Theory’s explanation of the lore just so you can see how insane it is 🤣
@@studior2962 i mean you're right (almost the entirety of part 4 is debunked and theres alot of stuff that are just matpat's headcanon) but i think they're still entertaining and a good starting point for ppl interested in the lore
Interesting that you mentioned that Nicholas Cage movie. There's an actual, real, official Five Nights at Freddy's movie coming out this year on October 27th. It should be completely newbie-friendly. Maybe you guys could watch that, at some point. Whether as a reaction or not, doesn't really matter. It won't just release in theaters, but also on Peacock, the streaming service, at the same time. Every rumor, leak, and official announcement all point to it being a good movie. EDIT: 14:22 Alright, you mentioned it
I’m really excited for the Fnaf movie which is coming out this October and I would like to see your reactions to the trailers for it when they come out
movie is coming out this Halloween after eight years stuck in development limbo (constant script rewrites, changing studios etc) honestly, taking the plethora of books into account, FNAF has grown into a *multimedia* franchise beyond just video games at this point… with that said, as a longtime fan lemme give y’all a quick spoiler free summary of each game FNAF 1 - play as a nightguard in a dilapidated Chuck E Cheese style restaurant, guarding your office from killer animatronics FNAF 2 - prequel set in a much larger pizzeria with double the animatronics and no doors to keep them out, only a mask & flashlight FNAF 3 - set in a modern day horror attraction looking to capitalise on the "urban legend" Freddy’s has become decades later FNAF 4 - you’re playing through a series of *nightmares* about demonic Freddy Krueger style animatronics stalking your bedroom FNAF World - spinoff fourth wall breaking RPG with tons of different endings FNAF 5: Sister Location - you’re the technician working in an underground storage & rental facility for circus themed animatronics FNAF 6: Pizzeria Simulator - basically a mashup of "restaurant tycoon" and standard FNAF horror gameplay FNAF 7: Ultimate Custom Night - literally just FNAF Super Smash Bros; choose what characters you’re up against, their difficulty level etc FNAF 8: Help Wanted - perfect reconstructions of past games in VR...also very meta (the game exists in universe and you're a beta tester) FNAF 9: Security Breach - play as a kid trapped in a giant Freddy’s themed mall overnight…also Freddy is your ally in this game
Lets do there are 9 games with A LOT more coming oh and it’s multimedia now there are 30 books and a movie and it’s massive franchise it really grew in 9 years
Fnaf Lore in 3 sentences. Dead kids possess animatronics Their killer dies and possesses an animatronic. The killers children die and possess animatronics. Except for the eldest who’s the main character and wants to free the spirits.

That bit with turning on and off the flashlight reminded me of lights out lol and this one where the camera going yo the face into eye reminds me of the pumpkin thing Halloween does but faster and its multiple faces like in last Halloween movie lol
It's amazing to watch all the trailers and see how much the games have grown. Growing up alongside them has been such an awesome experience.
Just letting you know, the only remasters of these games are ports for mobile. That's it. Everyone of these games added something new to this franchise. Also, there are 10 games, about 30 books, and a movie releasing this October.
The games are (not all in order):
FNAF
FNAF 2
FNAF 3
FNAF 4
FNAF World
FNAF: Sister Location
FNAF Pizzeria Simulator
FNAF: Ultimate Custom Night
FNAF VR: Help Wanted
FNAF Security Breach
FNAF AR
When you just play the Game, you think: Yeah, no Real Story. Just some Robots that attack you every Night.
But in Reality, this one of the Biggest Storyline's i know. Some mysteries haven't even been revealed.
I love FNaF
If you want to get in FNaF Lore, I would suggest FootofaFerret's "FNAF: Everything You Need To Know (ft. MatPat)" video
Moar plz
(Try binging a Game Theory FNAF ay list. Even if it has to be a Patreon exclusive. Content for a LONG time, unless the patrons aren't interested)
Them: « I think when you look at the camera they can’t move »
I WISH !!!!
20:48 I love the Crocodile joke on Montgomery!
you really have to react to the timeline of gametheory, it will explain a lot xD
the whiplash from fnaf world to sister location's FEAR LMAOOO
That mean you are going to play it? Or you already played and i'm living in a rock?😅😅😅
There are a lot of FNAF games. But FNAF 1, 2, 3, 4, Sister Location, and Security Breach are the main ones.
12:57: And these are the cut scenes after you beat each night in "Sister Location"
Bruh what about fnaf 6
"theres only two games i think"
*Slowly takes glasses off with a perturbed look*
You guys nee to play these games then watch mat pats lore videos on them. Its surprising just how much lore is in FNAF
You guys should react to the complete timeline of fnaf by game theory, it's a 3 parter I think but solidly contains most of the present knowledge about the franchise
4 part
It's so weird hearing things they say as jokes being legitimate things in FNaF.
You guys should do the game theory fnaf vids
there was no 1st game trailer as scott thought it would flop. [or maybe the compolation just doesn't have it]
also if you think their is only 5 games i got bad news for you there's 15 games and like 20+ books you need to catch up on.
like phone guy said you've made a very poor career choice lol.
wait until they find out about the LOOOOORRREEE master lol.
FNAF 1 (1)
FNAF 2 (2)
FNAF 3 (3)
FNAF 4 (4)
FNAF World (5)
Pizzaria Simulator (6)
The rest of them aren't specifically numbered. There are 11 games total, the ones listed above, Ultimate custom night, VR, AR, Security Breach, and Sister Location.
I’d really love to see y’all’s reactions to the game theory FNAF videos
"I genuinely did not realise it went past 2!"
Who's going to tell them about the 27 and counting books in the franchise, and the fact the missed the trailer for FNaF AR game~ XD
"I don't know which of these are real!"
Oh, dear friend... they're all real.
"Even the lies?"
*Especially* the lies.
yes they are making a fnaf movie
7:35 If you're wondering, there is FNAF In Space. But it's more like a Metroidvania than a Horror Game.
If you decide to react to anything else Five Nights at Freddy’s related, then I recommend Game Theory’s explanation of the lore just so you can see how insane it is 🤣
Back in my days when i know this game from my friend and he literally said "haha funi animal robot horror game", it's crazy how the game lore now
you guys need to react to the ultimate fnaf timeline series (from the game theorists) this game's lore is pretty interesting
Those videos are inaccurate
@@studior2962 i mean you're right (almost the entirety of part 4 is debunked and theres alot of stuff that are just matpat's headcanon) but i think they're still entertaining and a good starting point for ppl interested in the lore
"I think there's only two games" pff!- sir, that's not even half!!
Should watch matpats game theory’s about the games
You should check out the lore of fnaf
"Thats like a fever dream!" Yeah we don't talk about FNAF World. It's a thing, it happened, we move on now xD
“I think there’s only 2 games” oh BUDDY
Interesting that you mentioned that Nicholas Cage movie. There's an actual, real, official Five Nights at Freddy's movie coming out this year on October 27th. It should be completely newbie-friendly. Maybe you guys could watch that, at some point. Whether as a reaction or not, doesn't really matter. It won't just release in theaters, but also on Peacock, the streaming service, at the same time. Every rumor, leak, and official announcement all point to it being a good movie.
EDIT: 14:22 Alright, you mentioned it
7:02 That was a fever dream.
Yeah: that just about sums up FNaF World lol
16:32 guy says i didnt realize it went past two me but didnt you just say oh really its the 4th one? 🤣
Did NOT expect this but I am not complaining
I think security breach is my favorite one
The FNAF movie trailer just came out. You should check it
I've seen all of your fnaf videos and ya'll had me so hooked, it would be so cool to see you guys play the games on your gaming channel!
"Is that FNAF in Space?"
No, that's game #87
As a FNAF fan since I was 6 as seeing people react to the old FNAF trailers I feel really old
I’m really excited for the Fnaf movie which is coming out this October and I would like to see your reactions to the trailers for it when they come out
movie is coming out this Halloween after eight years stuck in development limbo (constant script rewrites, changing studios etc)
honestly, taking the plethora of books into account, FNAF has grown into a *multimedia* franchise beyond just video games at this point…
with that said, as a longtime fan lemme give y’all a quick spoiler free summary of each game
FNAF 1 - play as a nightguard in a dilapidated Chuck E Cheese style restaurant, guarding your office from killer animatronics
FNAF 2 - prequel set in a much larger pizzeria with double the animatronics and no doors to keep them out, only a mask & flashlight
FNAF 3 - set in a modern day horror attraction looking to capitalise on the "urban legend" Freddy’s has become decades later
FNAF 4 - you’re playing through a series of *nightmares* about demonic Freddy Krueger style animatronics stalking your bedroom
FNAF World - spinoff fourth wall breaking RPG with tons of different endings
FNAF 5: Sister Location - you’re the technician working in an underground storage & rental facility for circus themed animatronics
FNAF 6: Pizzeria Simulator - basically a mashup of "restaurant tycoon" and standard FNAF horror gameplay
FNAF 7: Ultimate Custom Night - literally just FNAF Super Smash Bros; choose what characters you’re up against, their difficulty level etc
FNAF 8: Help Wanted - perfect reconstructions of past games in VR...also very meta (the game exists in universe and you're a beta tester)
FNAF 9: Security Breach - play as a kid trapped in a giant Freddy’s themed mall overnight…also Freddy is your ally in this game
and here i was thinking it was going to be matpats LORE videos
Lets do there are 9 games with A LOT more coming oh and it’s multimedia now there are 30 books and a movie and it’s massive franchise it really grew in 9 years
Now they need to watch Matpat and/or Thafnine's videos about this game
I can’t wait for the movie in October! I’ve been a fan since the first game and have been waiting a decade 😅
The same people that worked on M3gan are working in the Fnaf movie btw.
Gotta watch music videos
4:25
“Do they have a phasmophobia version now?”
_Giggles..._ FAZmophobia.
I’ve never played the game. But I learned about all the lore from matpat.
Fnaf Lore in 3 sentences.
Dead kids possess animatronics
Their killer dies and possesses an animatronic.
The killers children die and possess animatronics. Except for the eldest who’s the main character and wants to free the spirits.
Do you dare jump down this animatronic filled hole? Full of kid's souls and a murderous purple man? I guess we'll just have to wait and see mwahaha
"I think there's only 2 games"
Oh boy
