About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first RUclips channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!
One of the traits I love about Mikey is his appreciation of local food, like wherever he goes. Always willing to try dishes and give praises to the ones who prepared them and to the place where it's from.

I immediately shared and told family and friends to add Iloilo to our list of places to go to. UNESCO creative city of gastronomy. WOW!
The 1st and only UNESCO award for gastronomy in the Philippines? OMG! Yes hands down Ilonggo food from ILOILO CITY is the Best! lucky me I'm just a boatride away! I could go there anytime I want! Thank You ILOILO CITY!
When you’re IF and then watched this vlog after your eating window… grabeeee… its torture…. Literally! All that food…parang sobrang sarap. Iloilo will now be in my bucket list next yr.
Being an ilonggo not living there anymore, watching this video brings back lots of memories especially the delicious food iloilo has nourished me in the past. SOON I will be back again to revisit these places.

Mikey, what I can suggest is that you should plant fruit trees first thing because it will take years for them to wait for their fruit...so while waiting after planting them,,, that will be the time to do all your projects that do not need waiting time,,, unless if you plant fruit trees,, is that you will find fruit trees that is already big and already fruiting which is very rare

I just booked today my flight and Richmonde hotel for my Feb vacation holiday in Iloilo hahaha. I never ever planned to go to Iloilo in this lifetime at all! Seriously, never interested. But it changed after I watched your iloilo vlogs .😅😅😅 okay haha. I will be following your trail, and eat where you have eaten. I was disappointed with the food I have eaten in the past few years that I have been home to the Philippines. You inspired me and gave me hope to fall in love with pinoy food again. Hahaha gosh. 😊😅 this is it. I’m excited and counting.

The bamboo shoots or tambo in Ilonggo is my favorite, I can eat it everyday. Couldn't wait to retire in Iloilo and enjoy Ilonggo dishes made of fresh local ingredients.
Seeing RJ at the bakery was so cool, you could instantly tell that he was taken back to his own bakery days.
Wowza!! Salivating here! I am 100% certified Ilongga, my Dad is from there, and my Mom is from Bacolod. Thanks immensely for sharing love of our City's food, culture and tradition. I was there with my daughter last June (after 5 years of not being home) and my first request were the KBL and the coconut soup (tambo as was as we call it). Living vicariously through you vlogs. Thanks so much, and what a wonderful vlooger you are! Sending you my Merriest Christmas wishes to you, your family and your crew, and continued success in the coming New Year!

RJ is a very good decorator/designer...lovely home. Impressive!!!!👍👍👍
Just a note on the bunnies, they can be leash trained. That way you could even let them run around with the leash trailing. When you want them to go back in just pick up the leash. That way you would not have to pick them up if they don't like it. If you still have your pet stroller they could ride in that. We used to have a little girl in our neighborhood who would take her bunny for walks in a wagon. For protection if you have to pick them up you can get protective gauntlets made of leather or other material. Our vet uses those. Bunnies can bite or scratch sometimes. Oh I forgot that you've had bunnies before. Gloria 🐂

The bangus is the best in Iloilo. That belly is so sweet. No muddy taste like the one in other places in the Philippines. If I die, thats the last food I will want to eat. It is so divine. ❤
41:20 Hang it by the eye window of your house in your bedroom. People usually hang this where it can be seen from outside the home.
proud to say I had a bowl of authentic batchoy in Barota Vieja. I had ilonggo food in other cities, it didnt taste good. But i like the one with Black Beans and Jackfruit with pork.
I'm from iloilo city, iba po talaga ang lasa ng pagkain sa ibang lugar, At ang barotac is not part of iloilo city. part of iloilo province sya. iloilo city lang po ang kasali sa unesco creative city of gastronomy.

keep bunnies with a roof, birds of pray like them because they are slow and even cats may try to eat them. a seperate run works well that you can put them in the day, they need a secure place at night, one of my friends runs a bunnie rescue center

Let me just correct the guy in 20:06. Kadyos is not black beans. It's pigeon peas. The KBL we make at home is slightly more violet than that. We couldn't find batuan here in Laguna, of course, so we just order batuan powder online. One ilonggo dish my family likes is laswa, which is a vegetable soup of squash, saluyot, green papaya, sitaw, malunggay, tomatoes, onions and shrimps.

I love food vlogs, they’re totally the very best!!!
I’m totally convinced, I gotta get to Ilo Ilo for the food!! That beach dinner was OFF THE HOOK!!! WOW! The “Stars” really came out during this vlog! I know I’m a super picky eater (about the only thing I’m envious of is your pallet) but there’s so much I’d just love to eat. There’s huge lessons here, I don’t take them for granted.
I had Pork Loin Adobo while I was watching this vlog, that’s the only way I could do it (I made the Adobo, using my Change-Your-Life Adobo Sauce, LOL).
I looked it up, these Unesco Cities of Gastronomy is quite a list. I’m starting to think that would be an incredible itinerary to go on.
Now this dance festival performance you got to see was A-MAZE-ZING!! I love all this stuff when visiting other places. Ya’ll surely got a treat seeing this.
It was so cool you got asked to perform. I just gotta say, your voice just keeps getting better and better (with age, I hope you don’t mind me saying). I’ve been listening to all of your work and, I can truly say that you’re at the top of your game right now. Also, I really am in awe that you could just “pull that performance out of the air” like that. This is what true talent is, always being ready, no excuses just an awesome performance. Hearing what RJ said about your performance just made my heart happy, ya’ll have the best relationship.
I just gotta say… watching these vlogs gives me so much inspiration to get off my butt, get back to work and get back to living like I know I want to. Seeing how you and RJ just embrace life, embrace people and live is just so heart warming and amazing!!

I miss Iloilo watching this video, It is pretty nostalgic. My last visit was in early 1990's. I studied there for almost two years and i love not just my school Universidad de San Agustin but all the schools there as they are enormous and grand. I miss the food as well.
