I knew girls who had My Scene growing up but I never did. And I only have the first wave reproductions of Bratz since I didn't have access to them as a kid. I mainly stick with Barbie, except for a couple of dolls from from other brands when I was feeling a little crazy. 😝
I don't mind tinsel actually, as a child it felt like a special feature for a doll. I really like these and can't decide who to get first, they feel fresh/new for barbie which is something they desperately need.
I don't think you are particularly unlucky about defects in dolls you buy : it's just the lack of quality control nowadays ! 😥😬 These girls are cool, but it's a pity they are off scale with Barbie... I wonder if they can wear RH outfits ? Thank you for the exhaustive review ! 😘
Congratulations - these girls look awesome. We have to wait a little longer in Europe but I am glad to to enjoy your review while waiting. I can see Ever After High but everybody sees what they want. Since I collect a number of dolls I cannot have them all but Malibu is a must for me. The others - I am not sure even when on sale because space is getting tight indeed. Sorry - still not a fan of tinsel. 😊😊
I will be shocked if this line gets a second wave. I think they are super cute and like them but Mattel is not supporting this launch at all. They are not on Amazon or Target online nor in stores at Target. Only select Walmarts have them in stock and I had to grab the ones I found from the overstock on top of the shelves as they didnt even have them out. Usually by now the RUclips influencers would have had their PR packs weeks ago and they videos would be flooding the site. So far other than this review and a few from Australia, no one else has been posting which means no PR kits went out. The lack of availability/ visibility, virtually no promotion by Mattel, and the new scale likely dooms this line like the WHC. I hope I’m wrong as I think the dolls are great but this is a bad start

They do fit in some rainbow high clothes. I've tried skirts and jackets on Brooklyn and she looks cute in them.
