    With Double Leg Stretch pulling the knees in toward your shoulders if you have Arthritic Hip Joints is very painful! So what would you suggest without losing the integrity of the movement? Thanks very much.

      Hi Colin!
      Good to hear from you, it's been a while :) Don't pull your knees into your shoulders--only pull them into where you have no pain which might mean they don't come any closer than a 90 degree angle at the hip and you hold the back of the thigh instead of the shin.
      This is the same modification you would use for knee pain.
      Reducing the range of motion for any exercise that brings pain is always the answer in Pilates, and if there is still pain with a small range of motion, just skip the exercise.
