I JUST REALISED SOMETHING. So you know how there was a book that had the title a girls demise? Well it was talking about how a girl stumbled along an unknown world until she collapsed. In the ending a paintings demise, It slowly gets darker until we hear a thud sound. MAYBEEE just MAYBBEEE, Mary is the girl from the book a girls demise. It would make sense since the endings title and the books title are similar.
Slight spoilers for one of the endings in the video!! If you examine the lady in red painting while you're playing as Mary, Mary will call her something along the lines of "big sis." I always found that interesting, but completely and utterly sad. She just wanted real, tangible friends and family. I wonder how she would've treated Garry had he not been in the way of her happiness, seeing as only 2 can leave Guertena's world. She's a really tragic character, it's easy to dislike her, but I love the story there!

Wow that's dedication! I wouldn't have this much patience lol thank you for this special ^^ I love Ib and Garry's friendship :') I like the starry night room! But I liked this cyan room as well, with the romantic statue of the skeleton prince and the glass full of the night sky :) its crazy but I like the purple room with the crazy dolls too, it was terrifying but it was so beautifully crafted, it's an art to create something so chilling. I really liked other stuff too like the wine sofa, the taste cleaning rainbow candy tree and the happy spouses. I love that there is some really good not-scary beautiful art, and you can even interact with it!
Comment on one of the endings, spoilers below I got literal goosebumps watching Mary act like Ib's sibling in the real world. I wasnt expecting this game to get under my skin like that. I guess it's because Ib's parents acted like they knew mary the entire time. Good stuff. Thank you for sharing your gameplay experience!

The Mary slander kills me🤣😭Guess which endings are my fav lol Info-dump time, headcanon edition: Mary only outrights tries to murder you when you become a possible threat to her life. She wants to leave with Ib, so why would she steal Ib's rose, if she knew it could kill Ib? She pulls out the palette knife when you learn she's a painting/when she is in the fake outside world for her own safety, and not to be malicious. I don't think she outright kills the duo in Welcome to the world of Guertena, but rather they seem to be passed out from stress or, if they DID die, from broken heart- Ib- and stress causing a heart attack- Garry- in my opinion, and not directly by Mary's hands. In her room, Garry can easily overpower her again but instead burns the painting?? Not once does he, the ADULT, stop to think "This child shows ability to be peaceful, why is she lashing out?" I get he's scared, but he's shown that he can stop and think for even a second, so why doesn't he? Mary shows that, despite her jealousy towards him, she does see him as a person of safety and comfort, hence calling out for him. I'm sure, if it were possible for all three to leave and no one had to take anyone's place, she'd be less set on leaving Garry. I don't think she manipulated Ib's parents. Since she escapes with Ib, I believe they escape into a timeline where Mary and Ib are genuinely sisters, maybe twins even. She probably doesn't understand the full extent of the roses attachments to the soul. She makes a fake one because she's seen in the gallery/world that it's a thing that humans have but paintings don't so she makes one to feel more real. I'm running out of brain juice to continue my rant. Sorry for the long-ass comment, Rose. But, as this is my hyperfixation, I do get really passionate about it lol

I do feel kind of bad for her, although she’s definitely kinda selfish but that also makes sense because she’s a painting and a child. This is such a cool game and I loved your gameplay!! Garry and Ib have such a cute older brother&younger sister bond😭💕💕
