- RIP, Amy
Amy's cover of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" for the soundtrack to "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason." For those asking where to get this version, you'll have to purchase a hard copy of the soundtrack. The digital copy does not include this song for some strange reason. I purchased mine on Amazon, so you may need to do the same.

It's tomorrow and we still love you Amy.
JimH D'awwwww :* we sure do.
Every tomorrow to come.
Aww😭😭😭😭
To this day, the most gorgeous sentence ever written on youtube
It’s 2020 and our love has only grown bigger for you, Amy.
Rarely is a cover better than the original. This is one of those "rarelies".
Naaawww, I say Carol's is it by far - there's nothing like the feeling of the original - but I like the percussion on this one.
She is Amazing Man what a Unique Voice!!!! How dare anyone judge her!!! No one is perfect but for Jesus!!!!
* rarities
True dat shit.
Its not a Carol King song its by The Shirelles.
Call her a junkie or an alcoholic all you want, but there is no denying the power and musical brilliance this young woman possessed. Look past her troubles and you'll see a raw talent often taken for granted by the world in favor of the more salacious stories of her erratic behavior.
This is easily one of the greatest vocal performances of our generation, and its a damn shame that performances like this are overlooked for her personal demons.
My god she really is amazing. We were all blessed to have her appear in our lifetimes. They dont come around often and usually dont stay long. Amy was our generations touch of heaven
Her talent and intellect is unmatched. She probably succumbed to abuse because of loneliness. Addiction is a loneliness disease. She was living on another level.
She hooked up with a sociopath. He didn’t give a shit about her...watch the documentary on Netflix. After she died he showed no sign of grief. He was too busy thinking of his own future. Her utter dependence on him was a symptom of lifelong low sense of self-esteem despite her fame. The drugs temporarily bolstered her emotional fragility.
I have the documentary. Very sad. People took advantage of her situation for sure. Vicious cycle - co-dependency.
♥️💔♥️
that high note kills me every time
I can't get enough of it
+BeyondTheTardis come on, it's not THAT bad, the singing here was pretty decent
+yellowfolder I think they meant kill in a good way.........
feel u...
So unexpected yet appreciated.
My childhood singer, i cant believe its been over 12 years since you left us💔, thank you so much for your talent Amy x
Why the world wants to listen to Taylor Swift when we still have Amy's songs.
Carol King wrote this with her husband Gerry Goffin, they were both working for Don Kirshner at Alton music who set it up to be recorded by the Shirelles. When it hit the radio it immediately went to number 1. Don Kirshner rented a limousine and went to Carol and Gerry's house, he picked her up and together they went to the chemical plant where Gerry worked (his "day job"). Don got out of the limo and went into the factory, he found Gerry Goffin and said "Gerry, come with me, you never have to work this job again". A few years ago a Canadian music historian named Robert Harris was researching the history of Rock. He tracked down Don Kirshner in a rest home and he played him this Amy Winehouse version. Harris said Don Kirshner broke into tears and just said "She's got it" "That was what Carol and Gerry were writing for!" Amy you will live forever!
Yeeeesssss
What a beautiful account. I had known the common-knowledge parts of the story, but not the rest of it. Thank you.
The only reason I came to know this version of the song is that it played at the end of Season 1, Episode 9 of The Newsroom, the best TV show ever made, now back in reruns on HBO.
Thank you for sharing such an authentic tale. Rarely are musicians as wholesome or genuine as Carol King or Amy Winehouse in their personal acts.
Beautiful, thank you for sharing x
Wow! I love this story
rarely is a cover better than the original, but this is it .....
amazing. this is just frigging soo heartbreakingly beautiful
What a privilege to be able to experience this rendition.
The longing in her voice is just.....................................I literally can't find the words.
CassieJazz96 we know what you mean.her soul sings
You can reach out and feel the pain...it’s palpable
"Will you still love me....tomorrow...." I cant even....
💔
So much emotion in her voice. I wonder if she knew how beautiful she was.
what matters is that we know how great it was
Amy, if you can read this, YES. From all of us.
MrCuddlyable3 she is dead
TheCrazyGirl 99 Yes. You talk of her body but the spirit in her voice lives on.
MrCuddlyable3 lol
I came across Amy Winehouse maybe 10 years ago before she passesd as I heard one of her hits on the radio and thought, who is that? I love it. Went to a music store that was still open and bought 2 of her CDs. I loved her voice, her style, and her soul. She was from a younger generation than myself as I'm a 70s and 80s kid. I listen to older stuff that they rarely play on the radio. I don't care much for the popular stuff they put out now but I loved Amy. She was so authentic, mad talented, and an old soul. Just gone way too soon. 🙏
Her music soothes the wounds in my soul, whenever I’m feeling down and insecure I listen to her music and it brings me back to life because it’s comforting knowing that she knows exactly how I feel. I will love this woman forever
Amy's 🎵🎶🎼 will ALWAYS play on and on she was a Wonderful talent i choose to just enjoy that in an Artist not judge by their personal struggles and hers were pubic Rest in Peace Amy
Ik zal altijd van haar en haar muziek houden telkens weer te gek
First time hearing this. She sounds so good. I wasn't into her when she was alive and I realized I was missing out. I should have listened to her music then. Now she is gone never to make any more songs. May her soul rest in peace.
+4daluvofnikki I feel much the same actually when she was alive I knew what she looked like and the fact she was into drugs etc but I hadn't actually ever heard a song by her as far as I know.... This was the first song (the official video though I believe) I listened to and realised she did have a beautiful voice so was obviously adored for good reason.
I discovered her music quite by accident about 8 months before her untimely passing. Everyone was disgusted with her due to her drug usage, but I saw something else....I caught up because I spent weeks just listening day and night to all of her songs. My husband at the time thought I had gone mad.
4daluvofnikki I thought the exact same thing.
4daluvofnikki she was freaking unbelievable. That sound man...crazy
her music will live on, but dammit i wish she could be here to make more beautiful music. 😍 food for the soul
people just dont know how good she was--tragic
The absolute epitome of what a vocalist brings to a lyric, not since Sinatra has anyone or will anyone transcend the emotion. Rest in peace Amy xx
Her life was tragic. Her songs are very powerful. Sometimes amazing.
have did came have did came have did came have did came have did came have did came have did came have did came have
Not her song. Check out the original by the Shirelles
The song is actually written by Carole King and it was later given to the Shirelles to sing.
i didnt say it was written by them.
I know I wasn't meaning to be rude with my comment Sorry. I guess I misunderstood. Sorry
The first time I heard this I was driving, I had to pull in, Amy leaps to falsetto in the middle eight, I gasped, the hairs on my arms raised, my breath short, tears running down my cheeks. Oh what might have been,I listen to her every day.
This is the best version of this song. Miss you so much Amy.
Yes it's fantastic!
kind of the best songs for me
So much better than the album version. The production on "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" was so over the top. Ridiculous. Amy's glorious voice is in no need for that much fluff around it. It's powerful, gorgeous and heart-wrenching enough without it.
Agreed 100%. This is the best version that Amy did of this song. Incredibly beautiful. Haunting almost.
agreed. what album is this version from?
No kidding? Makes me sad when TRUE talent isn't appreciated :(
Scott Foster I don't think it was on an album tbh
me to
She was a talent not to be repeated. So sad she lost her battle with her demons.
Still one of the most gifted vocalists and musicians of all time - just beautiful!! So much power!
My dad died 11 weeks ago and ti early hours in the morning or on repeat in the car we would listen to Amy's version. The world has gone dark and I can't believe my dad has gone and I'm in this big world alone. I love you dad and I miss you. I'll always love you tomorrow dad.❤❤xxx
Me and my best friend were so obsessed with Amy at one point, and we sat for 20 minutes playing her high note on repeat because it was so amazing.
I am in love with her version!
This is a lasting treasure. Thanks for leaving us with it, Amy.
Tonight you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Tonight with words unspoken
And you say that I'm the only one, the only one, yeah
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning star?
I'd like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, cause I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Yeah
Sid The Brownie thank you!!!!
2:02 - 2:06 My heart literally jumped out of my chest.
I miss you everyday, Amy.
I cried
This is the best cover I've ever had the pleasure of listening too!! Who's still listening in 2018? We love you AMY!! Rest In Paradise beautiful girl ❤💛💚
I listen to it everyday ❤, It honestly gives me goosebumps.
Always listening to Amy. Ignoring her troubles, without doubt, she was one of the best artists of her generation.

Holy! I haven't listened to Amy in a while and this is just STUNNING. It's so sad she didn't make it. There are very few people I "gush" over and Amy is definitely one of them. Just a little Jewish girl from North London and the way she masters this song is breathtaking. Thank You sweet Amy. :)
He who is without sin Can Cast the first Stone!! How dare everyone Judge her!!! Like they are Perfect!!!! She had issues, who doesn't????? In my Bible only One Person is perfect!!! And with that Beautiful Strong Welled Unique Voice!!! She Still is Best at
2:00 I'm obsessed with that part.
0:00-3:32 I'm obsessed
Thank you lord , for lending us this angel for a while. X
This is probably my favorite pop song of all time. It's a perfect song. Thank God for Carole King. I love the original. I love Roberta Flack's version, which is lovely and searing. But this version has a special place in my heart. Amy was one of a kind and I wish she was still with us.
Beautiful voice, beautiful girl. The world misses you Amy there will never be anyone like you again you were truly unique. Your amazing music will live on forever so will your memory xxxx
Couldn't put it better.
something about this gets me every time. her voice is sensational, and the lyrics are so powerful.
We will "still love you tomorrow". It is so sad to know your gone. You are a great singer, Amy Winehouse
This is one of the last few true talented singers we will ever see in this world. Amy was Amy. She was not a replica or tried to fit into a cookie cutter image. God gave her a beautiful voice but she was still tormented by demons only she struggled with. May her soul finally rest in peace
Discovered this version in The Newsroom. I'm so glad I watched this amazing show
As did I my friend!!! What a great TV show i binge watched 3 seasons in a week.
How beautifully sung. Just made me have a bit of a cry. I wish she'd made it though her problems.
Nobody in the industry today can give me goosebumps like Amy's voice. R.I.P angel.
Sometimes I listen to her and I just think "I can't believe her work just ends and there won't be any more". So sad and tragic what happened to her. A huge loss to the world, but thank goodness for the music we DO have.
I can not go to bed before listening this woman. She takes me out of the deeper darkness and dries my tears.
This is my all time favorite Amy Winehouse cover. She sung literally every single lyric, every single syllable with her entire being, she tore it to pieces. I wish I knew what frame of mind she was in while singing this and where she was taking the inspiration from...
What a loss. What a delivery of such moving, emotional lyrics.
if I could sing I'd want a voice like hers. R.I.P. Amy, you'll always be missed!!!
Ok so I’ve just actually listened to her music in 2024…and OMG the world needs a voice like this again. She is now my absolute favorite singer. Her voice brings tears to my eyes sometimes because I’ve never heard anything like her. RIP Amy. I hope you are at peace now. Truly an iconic voice, performer and woman.
Idk but this Amy rendition brings tears to my eyes... I love you AMY!!!♥️
This song gets me every single time. The feels though 😩😕
The best cover.
Give people their 💐💐💐 while they are still living. She would have appreciated our love if she had only known. RIP my soulful sister✨✨✨
honestly Amy, what a silly question
gregor mackenzie Truly
chills just CHILLS cant find any words to describe this perfection
This is the only song that ever has put a smile on my face and change my mood the entire time listening to it rest in heaven Amy 😘😘😘😘
we walk on this timeline as the earth keeps rotating on its axis, if it's possible to pinpoint a time in the past and freeze it for a moment to see the smile and hear laughs of someone special. miss you Krysti... one of the best people thus far i've come across to on these planes.
its been 3 years but still feels like 3 days ago when my friend told me you passed. I remember i was at work and didnt believe it because it was just a rumor you passed a few weeks ago that wasnt true. it was true this time. I dont think a day goes by where I dont think about your music or listen to you. you have become my favorite artist and I am blessed and fortunate that I became a fan while you were alive so I could appreciate you. I literally know almost your whole discography, and as talented as you were as a singer which was huge, I think your true true gift was your way with words. I never saw anyone write with the passion you have, just reading your lyrics sometimes instead of singing them really moves me. I will love you tomorrow and forever my eternal butterfly. I will listen to you all day and cherish my generation's billie holiday. We love you and miss you dearly.
Her voice is so amazing. We love you Amy, sweet dreams.
I hope you're happy, singing jazz and drink wine wherever you are
let's hope she doesn't need wine in a perfect place such as heaven. that's like hoping Kurt cobain finds good heroin in heaven. .... lets try to respect the afterlife instead of trying to say things to' sound cool' ....I barely survived a ten year heroin habit when some of my friends died. its not that cool trust me...
wanderlust she actually wasn't happy singing
That's not true. Singing was everything to her.
Christopher Morillo she wasn't happy singing because of her fucking dad
I was listening to Amy since 2009, she had very powerfull songs that can't be forgotten for good, when i watched some documentary about her life, i realise what she's so good, cause she sing from her heart nothing else.
For years and years, this Amy fan had to stay away. Just had to. It's 2022 and it still hurts. Then, by accident, looking for: omg who did that cover in season 1 of the Newsroom...Its AW. I'm hurt and moved all over again. I miss this singer so very much. Signed, 65 y. o. White straight suburban lawyer near dc.
such an old soul..so talented...don't hear singing like this anymore...soul
She had such talent - gone too soon. Rest in peace Amy and keep singing a song.
I can't get enough of her voice, this song, its so powerful, it calms my soul...
Oh Amy... Rest in peace.
I’ve had this on repeat all day... rest easy amy❤️❤️❤️
i feel this in my bones. Thank you.
Perhaps the best version of one of the best American songs. Thank you Amy Winehouse, Carol King, and Gerry Goffin.
One word ...awesome
This is one of my favorite songs. You can feel the emotion through her music, not very artist has the ability to do that, but she did. That's what made her, in my opinion, such an awesome singer. I will forever love her music, it has made a lasting impression on my life. Love u Amy. RIP
no better version ! that's it , nobody can be better than my perfect Amy
I miss you Amy....tnx for this ....your voice is something I can't explain
Makes me cry every time 💜
This is the best version of this great song and it really does make the hairs on my neck stand up...
Her songs from deep in her heart can speak to you in such a way that doesn't make you feel like a fool when it falls apart. Somehow gambling with your heart is worth it when the reward is so priceless. You can endure anything if you don't fear your heart being broken. I drew strength from her lyrics. Found peace in her voice and it broke my heart when she died.
Her voice is pure perfection, we lost a true legend. I will forever appreciate the music Amy left behind for us. So beautiful.
Just love this woman......just so sad..
Love this version to bits! It's the only version of this song I tend to listen to anymore. She was an incredible singer mastering the old school jazz vibes so effortlessly and having an amazing tone and sense of style. I don't think I've been as impressed by any other singer (although there are many really good ones) than her since hearing Jeff Buckley and KD Lang the first time.
It's heartbreaking that she passed away so young and watching the documentary made me really sad. People should be celebrated by remembering the beauty and talent they brought to this world, not by their darkest hours. And she had so much talent in her.
One of my favorites ~!
I enjoyed her music also ;-)
Her voice is so attractive~ !
Yes it was
GOOD SUNDAY
**************************************
Have a good day ~~ :)
This song is truly beautiful... her voice, the melody, the soft rhytm.. simply fantastic!
Don't think I've ever heard this Carole King classic done better
Outstanding singing of a seminal song. She was so talented.
You're gone and we all still love you❤️
Hi
simply consider she was only 19 (or maybe 18) when sang this (and with so much soul!). This girl was beyond her age
I love how each note she sings in this song brings a different tone and all of them wonderful which makes it so entrancing
In my opinion, this is the rare cover that is better than the original. I like the original, but I think this song was meant to be slow and plaintive like Amy's.
the original was slow... But i love both versions
CaroLouWho remember Amy was like 18 or 19 years old when she did this. I'm floored and speechless just thinking about it.
CaroLouWho i tend to agree (slow &plaintive) , but if you wan't hear it done properly , dione warwick a version with the original singers (the shirelles) in the 80s , that is my opinion of course
I meant it's like Carole King's tempo, I always think of Carole King's version as the original as she wrote even though she didn't record it first haha
+CaroLouWho Yes the best from a singer. And I mean a singer
Like Patsy Cline and Billie Holiday, Amy could sing most anything in any style, but it was ballads where she really shone. Her pensive, deeply emotional vocals, framed only by a beautiful melody and simple accompaniment...oh she could just tear your heart out. Music doesn't get better than this. I would've loved to hear her sing the devastating Holiday number "Don't Explain", or Patsy's "Sweet Dreams". Maybe in another life...
Love Patsy and Billie... Amy would have performed those amazingly.
BrideOfSnape l
the best thing in the world is having someone to love, and having someone love you back. we all need that.
RIP Amy. Thanks for giving us the best version of this song.
Just Fab. Had a 60 year young dude with tears in his eyes.
Such great talent.. One of the best female singers of all time. What a waste that she passed so young.
summer 2k16!!! R.I.P. AMY WE LOVE YOU
She was a meal ticket to so many people close to her. It broke my heart to see her booed on stage..
This is to much romantic, i'll come back when i have a girlfriend...
lol
LOL that made me chuckle, dont worry dude i've got no girlfriend too, but single life isnt that bad!
StrawberryrainPop Lol, i guess so...
Adonay Rocha single life is just as awesome if not better, depending on how you live single or with someone. because love can be heaven but it can also be hell. and living single can also be heaven or hell. you shouldn't look for someone to love because your life sucks or because you're bored, love, or that special someone should come naturally i think and you shouldn't depend on that someone or use them, someone like you'd use an object, just for your entertainment. i dunno, it's not like i know better, this just my opinion, to each his/her own and everybody can love and live as they like. but i think many people make this mistake. i think you shouldn't get lost in always spending time with people or with the person you love, you should also spend time alone and enjoy things in silence and stuff like that, if you know what i mean. but that's just me.
ZbangzbangNoMi I think you're right but sometimes no matter how good you feel with your loneliness you randomly start to think in love, it's inevitable
She covered Beatles (All my loving) Bossa (Girl from Ipanema) ... etc. She had her own style, I love her voice & her way of singing. on stage (many cases) there were two men beside her, Guys were swaying with her song... It was so good...most exciting ... Cool !!! ...but ... never more... I miss their stage...
Julie Weaver p
+Moriyoshi Sato佐藤 守克 I also miss a very
the way she sings the line "but will my heart be BROKEN" just gives the English word "Broken" a new definition.
This cover is everything. I love this so much. The arrangement is so perfect. The brass. The way the brass comes in and so beautifully follows her. I play this track for anyone special in my life.
What a real talent she was
Beauty can come from such tragedy. R.I.P Amy Winehouse ❤❤
Why did we lose such a beautiful artist? I'm not all that religious but if there "is" a beautiful afterlife, I bet it's filled with all the wonderful artists who left too soon. I was really young when she passed and didn't really know of her all that well.. But now that I'm 23 I realize how much we are missing out in the better things. Such a great voice she has.
Amazing! What a treat to listen to. She'll never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Amy.
