After recording the hit track in New York, the video for “Valerie” was shot in London in 2007. As Amy Winehouse couldn't make the video shoot, production came up with the concept of Mark Ronson inviting multiple Amy’s to perform on stage with Jazz musicians in an underground club.

Amy 😭💕 Thanks Mark. I love that the horns aren't completely in harmony in the intro which is exactly that old school sound she was so intent on recreating (so easy to fix with pitching programs). Sounds magical as though it was lifted from the late 50s/early 60s

Was lucky enough to live 100m away from Amy’s final house in Camden square. The street was constantly lined with flowers and notes every single day of the year. She will never be forgotten.

Nah but the instrumentalists are so into it. I love how Mark and Amy constantly made/make efforts to include iconic instrument parts in their songs
The instrumentals were always amazing as well which is a big part as to why her songs were so consistently good. I think more artists and singers need to realize that music typically sounds best when there's a combination of singing and instrumentals, especially for some reason the rap scene that seems to completely have lost touch with the weight that good beats and samples carry
Being a child of the '60s, this vibe just resonates. Herb Alpert, Tom Jones, horns, drummer in the pocket... feel-good stuff. Absolutely love it!

Amy lived in Camden Square, - two minutes walk from where I live off Camden Road. Amy's problem was that she was so open and honest. She loved Camden Town. I often passed her on the street , and we would exchange a 'Hi', simply because we were neighbours. She was just a wee girl. And the tabloid press crucified her.

Always when I think about the way she lived and if the things could have ended different I conclude: maybe, but everything would be different too. Maybe she would be just a casual woman, who likes to sing/write as a hobby, with family, children and working in a wall-mart.
Again if everybody is going die someday, what`s the matter to die with 27, 37 or 57? What really matters is if you lived the way you want, if you archived the goals you had and if you left a proud legacy to the others. I believe Amy did all this.
