I love this girl. I wish I had discovered her before she passed. Her voice is so beautiful and I am addicted to her now.
I could be able to listen to her songs with my mother but i was just 4 years old, so i never was really interested in her :/
I discovered her too late also. She had passed away by then but I bought all her music and listen often. Genius.

Once I listened to her I instantly fell in love with her. I didnt start listening to her until last year and wish I had been listening when she was still alive.
One of the best voices of all time. It was just effortless for her. She looked a million miles away here, bored really and it just flowed out of her naturally...damn.
She was so disconnected from reality toward the end of her life. The voice, oddly enough, was disconnected from reality, too. On another level vocally, really.

Agreed, she even stated she hated singing these songs that reminded her of when things were bad, but they constantly made her sing them because they were hits. Amazing how she still seems to sing them unlike anyone else can.

These rare acoustic performances show how beautiful her voice really was.
No unnecessary vocal gymnastics. Just the minimum to carry the song. She was head and shoulders above her contemporaries and the tendency amongst so many singers to show off their vocal techniques rather than make the song come alive. I am not a fan as such, but even as a passing admirer I can hear her talent in every note and in the perfectly styled delivery of her performance. A truly great singer and a tragic loss of a talent so young.
I am portuguese and when I was a kid i went to London with the only purpose to get an autograph from her. I went to her house in Camden Town and I actually got it!I cannot believe she's gone.

A great guitarist (whose contribution is often overlooked) and a great vocal talent! To make such music without the additional digital enhancements is the true sign of a great vocalist and a great musicien. Wonderful.... not to be forgotten.

one of the greatest singer song writers in the past 40 years a true musical genius . No one else sounds like Amy and she sounded completly different each time she sang the same song. She was one of a kind who could write a truly heart felt emotinal song brutally honest with a sound that was retro jazz hip hop her own style.

what i love about the way she performed is that u can just tell how genuine her connection to her music was. There was no annoying/forced facial expressions or hair flips or hand gestures is was purely about the music and her relationship to it was so pure. There was nothing commercial or forced about the way she was in any respect. i have unlimited admiration for her
