I just swapped my blinker switch thinkin the same thing. Then I saw this video, went back, reseated the plug in and it works like a charm. Thanks for the tip!
Ok, I changed all the normal wiper related parts including the multifunction stalk. Mine was dirty, greasy contacts inside the wiper motor. The rotary switch just needed to be cleaned, contractors brightened up with scotch bright, lightly greased, and reassembled. Problem solved.👍😃Thank you!🙏
Good info. You have a great attitude with the haters…very good self control on your part! Congrats and it’s great to read that you’re open to suggestions on how to make the vid short & sweet. Again, nice work showing us how to make this simple fix!! Thank you
I had the same problem and tried your tip today and it looks like it fixed it. I'll post back in a few weeks and let you all know if its still working.
I tried it and then tested it and it worked. I had to use it half an hour later and it went back to not working correctly. Thanks for the tip and I wish it would have kept on working for me.
Thans for the info! My neighbor is having similar problems with her '08 Dodge Dakota. I'm going to to do the same procedure, and hopefully, it corrects the problem.
I have not gotten around to the fix yet, but I have been told it could be the clock spring in the steering wheel. I have checked the simple things such as the fuse and wiring but that all seems good. Please let me know if you find a solution.
Did you do the connection at both wipers or just the drivers side? Im hoping this will work for me, my intermittent is fine. Its just my highest speed that doesn't work.
My 2006 Ram 3500 seems to have glitchy electrical system, where turning the truck off then back on often will clear up the problem. So when you reseat the plug, you turn the truck off right? Or the radio or seat heaters will be goofy, turn the truck off then back on will reboot the computer and all will be well in the 2006 Dodge truck world. It works for me, so before you go twisting some bolts give this a shot. Waking up the ghost in the machine.
I sometimes get the issue where my heater/AC fan will not turn on, and usually the fix is to turn the vehicle off then back on. I wonder if it could be a grounding issue. I notice on my battery terminals I cannot get them tight. When I have them fully clamped I can still pull the ground terminal off by hand (if that makes sense) I know how a simple thing like a bad ground can cause all kinds of issues with the electrical system.
Turned my wipers on in 97 dodge ram van worked I pushed to spray water and heard like a metal rod fall inside there now no wipers but i can hear the motor in there like it is working
Puede que no funcione para todos, pero lo probaría primero antes de reemplazar cualquier pieza. Primero reemplacé mi interruptor y no funcionó. Cuando limpié los terminales y puse grasa dieléctrica, solucioné el problema.
Seriously. If you’re going to do a tutorial video then take the cover off and so the motor and where you put the grease onto the connectors. This video is junk.
After watching the video I agree, I could have taken off the cover to give a better view of the motor. No excuse there, It was laziness on my part to not take the cover fully off. In the future I will try to have better camera angles. Not my finest production, but this will strive for me to get better. Thank you!

Glad it worked!
Thanks, glad I checked RUclips before I took it to the shop.
I hope it fixed your problem! It's annoying not having intermittent wipers.

Still working? I’m fixing mine next week I was gonna just buy a new motor but I’ll give this a shot
@@scrubdaddy785 It's intermittent. Most days it works fine and then out of the blue it starts acting up again.
I tried it and then tested it and it worked.

Weird that it worked and then stopped working.
could also be the wiper relay module under the dash
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Also I see you have a programmer.
I would like to suggest getting the Banks Monster-Ram . It’s awesome!
Your welcome! I have since bought a 2013 Ram 3500 (needed it to pull a bigger trailer) I plan on adding a monster ram on that.
Thanks I replaced my switch also and it's doing the same thing and I stumbled on your post post
I hope it helped, thanks for the comment!

I have the same air bag light on. How do we fix this?

I only did the connection on the wiper motor which is on the drivers side.. It fixed my intermittent. My high speed was working.
Awesome going to try this on my 2005 3500 diesel
Its amazing how many people have this issue, Hope it is a simple fix!

Awesome, and thanks for watching!
Had this same issue, replaced the fuse and it worked.
its nice when its an easy fix!
So you put out a 6-1/2 minute video to get to "clean the contacts and seal them with dielectric grease"?
Yup!, and good point, I could have just said that.
Turned my wipers on in 97 dodge ram van worked I pushed to spray water and heard like a metal rod fall inside there now no wipers but i can hear the motor in there like it is working
sounds like the rod disconnected from the wiper motor.
Great Job!
Thanks for the comment!
Really helpful thank you
Thanks for the comment!
I changed the motor and the turn signal wipers still aren't working.
Weird, have you checked the fuses?
😱 holy schnikes I need to go pull my front cowl apart!
good luck, hope it works!
@@LHHomestead I did sadly jigglin the wires didn’t work I’m going to try to pull it fully apart later today
Sorry to here that, make sure to try putting the dialectical grease on it.@@Rusty2255-i6c
I have a 97 dodge ram and the wipers dont work at all. I'll try this on the weekend and report back
Please do, I would love to know if it works. Also check the fuse, LOL. I try to remember to start with the cheapest fixes first.
Tengo el mismo problema amigo lo intentaré y te comento aver qué sucede
Sí, por favor, déjame saber si funciona.
Thanks
