Boothy has had miserable luck since he joined the channel with much breakage of both bones and bikes. But he’s seems such a top bloke I wish him nothing but good luck for the future. Keep your chin up mate.

But that's why I always say: although I love them I don't think I'd ever buy a KTM. Just makes no sense. Imagine if you were out in the desert and no help? You'd be seriously fucked without a SPOT device or something.

The quality of your content has gone through the roof lads. 44 Teeth has gone from enjoyable to addictive. This installment is great, I initially thought you were taking the piss with the Dakar thing. But no, real deal. Boothy's onboard commentary is priceless, whatever he rides. Bloody sad, though. Had to do a face palm seeing a broken Land Rover trying to recover a broken KTM.

I find it pretty frustrating to lose a day to technical problems at my local track 30mins away. I can only imagine how Boothy felt then! Hopefully this will be an oppertunity to get the bike in even better shape for the Dakar. Looking forward to more racing!
A Land Rover as plan B, definitely requires a plan C :) I feel sorry for Boothy, I would have broken my toes kicking the bike out of frustration :)

Its Monday evening so its 44 teeth time ...yay. You looked like things were going well Boothy (even the cornfield a few others ploughed before you) till the bike went bang. Enjoy the cerveza's till it gets fixed and crack on again. Al and the others can keep the flag flying till then
Reminds me of my first track day. I went down, van came to pick me up went around the track 3 times because they couldn't figure out where I was. Then sat in the back in pitch dark keeping my bike upright.
Nothing like the mess you had but it came to mind.

I had a mechanical recently. Simple loose wire. Ruined a good weekend all the same. So much effort gets put into just getting to the starting line. Glad you enjoyed the part you got to do.

Any chance you boys could put out an update on where you currently at with the Dakar funding and what you're latest plans are with bikes, equipment and riding gear? I say riding gear as I have the same RST gear and I know it gets a bit Betty swollocks when you're trying hard in the heat... 🥵🥵

When they announced they were using KTM bikes I thought 'oof, there's another element of challenge'. They make powerful stuff but everybody I know with KTM dirtbikes or ATVs spends more time fixing them than riding them.
and all are saved by a Citroen Berlingo!

Motorcycles can give you the thrillest of thrills, but sometimes they break down and leave you stranded in purgatory, pissed off and exhausted. A bit like a girlfriend really. Love the channel, the shenanigans and the jokes. Keep it up!

KTMs generally have this rep for reliability. I'm not sure I would want to head into very distant lands on bikes that are not rock solid. And from what I saw, mostly its low/medium revs rather than redline work :/

It just seems extremely odd that a brand new (I think they're brand new??) bike, albeit a KTM, would break down when they aren't even flogging it that hard
Lads considering the expense this has already cost you is it not worth trying to get hold of a couple of spare bikes on sale or return so you have all the bits if you need them? If you don't use any bits the shop keeps a set amount of cash but if you do use them they're sold?
Not sure what kind of deals you could work out but its got to be worth an ask.
