Nicely done! Seen so many videos shot like this but have to say this one stands out. The combined sound of both bikes, the roll on torque and speed as you guys were zipping past cars was so cool. Love the Thuxton! I definitely want to get one - hopefully soon.
Very cool! First time I’ve seen a video of 2 Thruxtons out together. Great camera angle. I have an unfaired 2017 Thruxton R with Vance and Hines silencers which sound great with the baffles out.
Me and a mate got absurdley high smoking joints in the car park of the Horton inn with the chef there, and 2 waitresses we just met, probably 30 years ago.
I went up a tooth on the front sprocket of my '22 Speed Twin, and love the way it just loafs at any speed under 100mph. Above that, its a bit soft with the factory ecu tune. But thats easily remedied. I'm still under 1000mi. on the clock. Trying to wait till then for proper break in, before letting her eat at true WOT. The factory ecu tune, gives no more than 85% percent throttle at ANY point. If a bike makes 100hp at 85%throttle. It'll make approx. 115hp, with just an ecu flash. I've done all kinds of other mods already. And figure I've probably recouped any lost hp I may be experiencing with the elevation I'm riding at. I'm expecting 120hp minimum. With a real chance of near 130. These engines pull like freight trains. The tourqe is there, all the way through the powerband. Its not really even about horsepower numbers. I just want the bike to pull hard from idle to redline. No coughs or hicups, all the way to the rev limiter 6th. Where it should be rolling at speeds in excess of 140mph. Right now it hits the 130mph factory set speed limiter, at 600rpm under redline. According to my calculations, that should enable me to do approx. 145mph at 8500rpms. Thats a nice chunk of reserve power still waiting to be uncorked.

Great video. Feel like I'm actually experiencing the ride.

The Wimborne to Cranborne road is still nice, but not so good since they grew the hedges that stop good visibility 🙁 Like the Thruxton !
