- The Monster Hunter series is an epic must play at the peak of its popularity. But if you're new to the franchise let me tell you why the Monster Hunter series is an epic must play! Thanks to the huge success of Monster Hunter World and the critical acclaim of Monter Hunter Rise, it's the perfect time to joint the hunt!

What are your favourite things about the Monster Hunter series? And why is it Furious Rajang?
Nergigante
@@chito2701 One of my favourites too.
Mostly the theory crafting and seeing what works with your playstyle. Also thats a weird way to spell Malfestio...
As a fan of MH for many years, I’m so elated this series has become so popular!
Me too!
My favorite series
I would feel sympathy if Zinogre didn't have the powers of a thunder god aimed directly at the hunter
That is true. But he does have a cute doggy nose.
normal zinogre he's a chill doggo
there are some crazy shit out there in the most unknown titles, go search blinking nargacuga for example
I've only been playing it for 13 years... it's fine :^)
Thank you for making this video! Given that as of 2023 the video game industry is rife with overwhelming mediocrity, soulless political/ideological agendas, and pro-business mindsets, the Monster Hunter series, at least in my eyes, acts as one of the last bastions of games designed by those that want to craft an experience that is both fun and something that they would want to play themselves, of which can be added onto the points that you have made in this video as well.
This is not to say that the franchise is infallible, and it has no flaws. there a plenty of problems with the latest game in the series that I could list off, with its lack of difficulty and removal of certain QOL features being some quick examples. This is also not including how Capcom has its own history of being a shady company, and how it perhaps has bled into the monetization of Monster Hunter Rise in the form of purchasable weapon skins.
In the end, I still stand by the Monster Hunter series despite the current game's minor inadequacies, as it, and the games preceded it, have maintained a core game loop that has been both consistent and downright addicting across every single entry. It acts as an excellent example of a game that chooses to be methodical in its execution with the mindset of having its core mechanics be something that can stand the test of time and keep players engaged for hours on end, acting in stark contrast to game that are the shallow in what you can do, resulting in players barely playing them aside for the purchase of heavily marketed microtransactions and the like.
TL:DR Monster Hunter Is amazing, and you should play it. Lance is the best Weapon.
Well said.
I once tried to kill kestodon. They flew to space and never came back
His people needed him I guess! But now i think of it i don't think i've ever encountered a glitch in a monster hunter game before so that's pretty amazing!
@@prestonocron im pretty surprised too lol, it was a total accident before i knew that kestodonian was a race
ah yes, my favorite franchise, which offers one of the deepest, most rewarding, funniest and more customizable combat out there since almost 20 years now
but has also a strange fetish for shotting itself in the feet thanks to the worst tutorialization ever and misleading if not just wrong in-game info... you are straight up going to miss 90% of the good stuffs without external help
You're absolutely right. Perhaps Monster Hunter is too detailed because at times it can't properly explain itself. I've played a lot and i'm always looking stuff up online. But yeah, very rewarding if you get into it.
@@prestonocron i would say that they need to invest in a proper tutorial for each weapons, i don't know, maybe it's a stupid example but something like a gs hunt when you can only do the normal charge and there are quick time events and markers to help you lining up headsnipes
Then a second one where you try to use the strong charge instead
And a third one when you try playing more aggressively with the tackle
Something like that
@@robertomacetti7069 Yeah, that would be awesome. Like a proper training exercise with lessons. Sort of like licences in Gran Turismo, but fun.
This guy played through world once and said I GOT IT
